About an hour or so later, the jacket was..well, semi-dry, and better than nothing. It would certainly get him through the snow, and after that Akiro stood up, grabbed his bag and jacket, before stopping and looking at Suvansh awkwardly. "Err...Thanks for letting me stay, I suppose." He wasn't sure what else to say at this very awkward moment, so, he finished putting on the jacket and left the tent, stepping out into the snow. It had died down enough, so all that he could see was a whole lot of white, and the large ice spikes like the one Akiro had almost died next to. He didn't intend to let that happen again.

Akiro kept moving through the snow. Now that he had relaxed, and warmed up some, he was able to make good time. The snow was still thick and kept him from moving quickly, but he kept a steady pace, which was good. A steady pace was better than stumbling through. Akiro had long since lost the knife, and he didn't think for a minute that he would get it back, but he still had the other one. Hopefully, he would be able to find some other weapon. His power was good for some things, but fighting wasn't one of them. It was just an assist. He scoffed inwardly. He never was a fighter. Just an assistant. A shadow. That was why he was so useless. He kicked at the snow and watched it fall through the air, just like the soft falling flakes that came from the sky. For a minute, he stood there, watching the snowfall with silence. The sounds of the mobs were far off, and there wasn't a snow golem to be seen. It was quiet...nice. This was the kind of thing Akiro enjoyed, but for once, he wished he didn't have to be alone. That little thought was like a break in a dam, sending a wave of grief crashing over him. Akiro didn't want to be alone. He didn't want to see another superhero in his life fall of their pedestal. He didn't want the shield to crack. Akiro wanted someone to be there beside him, play at least one of the parts Ashley had, he just wanted a friend. But he couldn't. Akiro had to accept that. Ashley had been the only one, the closest thing he would ever get. He was never going to find that kind of connection. He thought he saw it in Chelsea, but he knew he'd most likely never see her again. He wouldn't survive the games. That seemed to lift one weight off his back and put another on. He didn't have a way out. The old him would've argued that he did have a choice, that he could fight back, find another way. But there was no backing out of this. Akiro would go down swinging, but he would go down. For now, all he could do was go on with his plan.

Akiro just kept walking. At one point, he realized his stomach was aching, and he was going to have to eat. It had been almost a day since he had a meal. Even if he wasn't going to make it out alive, Akiro had to have control over that one thing. He promised himself that he would eat once he reached the desert. He kept trudging through the snow, and it started to thin out, the temperature rising slowly. He knew he had gotten where he wanted when he had to remove his jacket and stuff it into his bag, wiping sweat off the back of his neck. It wasn't horrible, there had once been a heatwave during a drought back home that was just as bad, but that had been years ago and this was a desert after all. Akiro didn't have a watch, but he guessed by the fact that the sun was beating directly on his back that it was close to afternoon. Then again, that could be exhaustion. He stopped for a minute, found a water bottle. With shaking hands, he managed to uncork the bottle, and tipped his head back, drinking from it. He stopped himself before he got halfway, nearly spilling it on his shirt. As he corked the bottle, storing it back, he reminded himself that he only had so much. And if he was going to be in the desert, at least for now, he had to keep stock. As he moved to put it back, Akiro rummaged through his bag. A water bottle. A few slices of some unknown, cooked meat. His dagger. Not much to work with, and Akiro had picked the harshest environment to hide in after all. He was surprised that he hadn't faced many mobs. Now that was just asking for something to happen. Getting up and moving, he shook his head in wonder at his stupidity.

Akiro eventually stopped when a rabbit darted across his path. He had to get more food if he was going to survive any longer than a week. He watched the rabbit carefully, waiting for it to stop near a dry bush, crouched down, extending his hand. There was an almost audible hum, and with a strange choking noise, the rabbit flew towards his hand, dust stirring. He grabbed it by the neck, his long fingers easily wrapping around it. Akiro stood up, the rabbit in his hand. He hated killing. *Just think of it like a rat that wandered in the house,* he thought. *Except this time you're eating the rat.* He quickly killed it and stuffed it into his bag with a slight grimace. There was no other way to go about it, he supposed. Now that he had something, he had to find a place to stay, somewhere to hide out. He saw a huge building in the distance, but that was risky. Looked too good to not be passed up by someone else, and Akiro really didn't feel like fighting at the moment. Wiping the rabbit blood off of his knife, he stuffed it into the pocket of his bag and moved on from that little spot.

Akiro came across a rare river not long after, and he bent down to fill the water bottle. Once it was full, he replaced it, and sat on the Bank, the muddy water running over the toes of his shoes. His mind wandered, and he was plunged into a daydream. Though, truth be told, it was more of a nightmare than a daydream.

He was running through a dark tunnel. There seemed to be a voice, though whether it was his mother, maybe even his father, or someone else, he couldn't tell. The voice kept encouraging him, telling him to keep going, that things were almost over. Akiro heard the sounds of a snake hissing behind him, and that sped him up. But, as the snake got closer, the voice turned cold, mocking him, slowing him down. He could feel his feet slowly stopping, though he wanted to keep going, run from the snake, the voice was the only thing keeping him going. As the snake got closer, its jaws opening wide, Akiro realized that the ground underneath him was crumbling. He fell before the snake could eat him, tumbling into darkness. He came back screaming, and in a cold sweat, his shoulders heaving. It took Akiro a minute to anchor himself back to reality, muttering, "It was just a dream, just a dream." But it felt too vividly real.

Title: The Cliff

~3 weeks prior to the battle with Shroud

Pokemon AU

As the earth stopped shaking, a piece of the gorge wall broke off. Tempest lunged forwards as the girl standing before him plummeted, grabbing her hand just as she was about to fall out of reach. He was thrown off balance by the quake and therefore her weight pulled him over the side, too. They would have both fallen if not for his Boltund, who sunk its teeth into the boy's boot and held on tight, trying to pull its master back to safety. It felt as if both his leg and his arm were simultaneously being pulled from their sockets, but he refused to release his grip.

"Caly!" he gasped as the blood rushed to his head due to being upside down. "Just hold on!"

Behind him, he could hear the sound of the battle between the Krookodile sicced on them by Shroud Corporation and Calypso's Kingdra. The Intimidation Pokemon's Earthquake was what had caused this, and Tempest could only pray it didn't use the move again. Caly was already hurt enough, bleeding from a gash above her eye and another across her side where shards of rock had grazed her. She looked up at him, and her coffee eyes locked with his own.

In a hoarse voice, she said pleadingly, "Tempest, let me go." When he opened his mouth to protest, she cut him off. "There's a river at the bottom. Trust me, I'll be okay."

The rational side of him saw her point, her logic, but he couldn't force himself to obey her, even if she was technically in charge of him on this mission. However, he could hear Volt straining to pull him up, could feel his teeth tearing deeper into his foot. Calypso would have a better chance of surviving herself if she didn't have to deal with saving the both of them. Squeezing her hand, Tempest reluctantly let go.

As Caly's weight vanished, Volt was able to yank the boy back to the top of the gorge. He caught a glimpse of water swirling up from the river to surround the golden-brown haired girl, then the next he knew was he was staring up at the sky, chest heaving, leg aching. He knew he couldn't rest, however. Standing, he stumbled at first, but brushed it off and hurried to where the Kingdra had defeated the Krookodile and now bobbed up and down in a small pond. Calypso's backpack lay beside his own at the base of a nearby tree. Rushing over, he pulled out the Dive Ball that Cascade called home and called her back. Slinging both bags over his shoulder with a wince, he set off once more towards the gorge, a slight limp in his gait, looking for a way to get down to the river.

After perhaps ten minutes, Tempest, Volt at his side, spotted a limp, bedraggled form lying on a rocky outcropping at the bottom of the ravine. A mix of panic and urgency churning in his stomach, he scanned the sides rapidly for a way down; the only possible path he could make out, though, was a thin slanted ledge leading to the ground about halfway down the thirty-odd-foot wall. However, a sturdy-looking tree jutted out from the wall just above the peak where it widened. Hesitating only to return his Boltund to its PokeBall, the boy set off with a running start and lept for it.

Grabbing an outstretched branch, he could feel the bark tear the skin on his palms as his momentum swung him forwards, then backwards, then forwards again, like a pendulum. Tempest then dropped the remaining four-ish feet to the ledge and, hands balled into fists in an attempt to push back the pain, side-stepped down the thin path. The second he was close enough to the ground, he jumped down and hurried to the unconscious Calypso's side.

Being the Water Protector, Caly could breath under water, and therefore drowning wasn't a concern for her. In fact, other than her original injuries and some new bruising along her collar bone, she appeared relatively alright. Regardless of what he thought about being forced into this position, there were certainly times where not simply being an average human came in handy. Sending out Volt once more, Tempest instructed the Boltund to search for a location where he would be able to get Caly out of the gorge; that definitely wouldn't be feasible from the way he had come.

Roughly thirty-five minutes after that, Volt returned, which told Tempest without his even having to speak to the Pokemon that it would take him about half an hour to cover the same distance the Boltund had covered twice in that same amount of time. Asking the Electric dog to carrying their bags, the boy lifted Calypso into his arms and began to carry her downstream. The added weight hurt even more; his foot screamed in protest, his leg ached something terrible, his hands and left arm burned. He wouldn't allow himself to stop, though.

After what seemed like hours, Tempest finally came upon a place where the ravine walls had narrowed down and met with the river Bank, creating a viable exit. Narrowly avoiding tripping, he stumbled up it and into a lush Unovan forest, quite a ways away from their temporary camp. He finally set Calypso down in a sunny clearing, hoping to help her dry off, as she wasn't immune to catching a cold. His Boltund immediately darted away and began to converse with some wild Burmy. Within five minutes, forest-dwelling Pokemon of all species surged into the clearing, carrying various berries, leaves with water inside, and so forth. He himself pulled out a first-aid kit from his bag, which Volt had dropped. Seeing the wild Pokemon seemed to be taking care of Caly, he took out some bandages and began to wrap his hands.

Nearly another hour later, just as the Electric Protector was about to doze off, he heard Caly stir. Sitting up, he glanced at her and was happy to she that she was staring back at him. The girl smiled a bit, and he returned the expression.

"Morning," Tempest grinned, standing gingerly and moving to sit beside her.

"Oh, 'morning," Calypso laughed, setting her hand close to his in the grass, but nothing more. They'd agreed that, although they had each expressed interest in the other, now wasn't the best time to begin a relationship, regardless of the actions of some of the other Protectors. Someday, Tempest reminded himself. When incidents like this are a thing of the past. Overhead, the soft sound of muffled wingbeats could suddenly be heard. Staring up, the boy watched as an Altaria flew by, then returned and began to circle. Helping Caly up, he waved at its auburn-haired rider. Lace had found them.

Title: Puddles

Amid that awkward stage of adult and teenage rebellion, he left the flock to explore the ruins near the wall. An area the adults of the flock warned to stay away from but he was immediately fascinated and spent more and more time in those areas. At first bringing some of his fellow duckletts with him but after a scare from one of the elder pokemon that lived in the ruins the others became reluctant to join him on his adventure. Now Alone for the most part he spent more time with the old grumpy elder pokemon of the ruins than his flock. Every so often his mother would venture into the ruins to remind him to return to visit the flock and spend some time on the water and to eat.

In his time at the ruins, he learned a lot from stories of the past structures and the ways pokemon used to help build and live together in homes with diverse groups of pokemon and "people". With the help of the elders and a few like-minded pokemon, they managed to fix up the ruins of a small house into something livable. He spent less and less time with his flock and with a base of operation he set his sights on the wall. A Grand piece of architect and technology that even the legendary leaders could not bridge. Such strong walls would make the perfect material to make a safe and comfortable home for him and his mutuals. No longer would they have to brave bad weather or fear invasion by outside forces, at least a stronger cover than just hiding in the plant brush.

He's been observing the walls fearlessly with zealous, pecking at it here and there and making attempts to fly over it, even digging under it. Making note of any changes no matter how small until one day he notices a big change. He felt a great thrill and bathed in the feeling before hurrying off to tell his like-minded comrades of his findings, unaware of the danger he just barely dodged as the walls opened and the collection began. He spent quite some time in discussion and debate with the others in the home and when he attempted to go back to hurry to the wall he was stopped by the elder leader of the ruins. The discovery was indeed an important one but it was a dangerous time currently.

Those words didn't click right away until a ducklett came flying in. Hysterical and crying that he barely escaped and pleaded for help for their mother and other flock members.

At the Bank of the lake Puddle's mother led a small group of his siblings to visit him. Aware that this day was dangerous and wanted to bring puddles back to the safety of the lake. Until the chaos of other birds scattering from towards the wall, some falling out of the sky as if stuck or captured into something. She flew up in an attempt to ascertain the danger and barely escape the first attempt to capture her. Not as lucky and caught by surprised all but one ducklett managed to slip away, letting out cries alerting their mother and gathered the attention of a few nearby swanna.

Back with puddles and their younger sibling he hurried to return to the lake in an attempt to help his flock. He manages to fly ahead to where his mother was only to see her capture, his attempts to get closer are thwarted by his mother's crying plead to protect the siblings he had left. Being forced to watch on the sidelines as his mother, siblings, and other flock mates get taken away while cowering in the cover, protecting his only little sibling left under his wing as they muffled cries while trembling.

Title: Deathnote Rule 4

Other Things to Consider

The human who uses this note can go neither to Heaven nor to Hell.

One page taken from the Death Note, or even a fragment of the page, possesses the full power of the note.

Any writing instrument or medium (cosmetics, blood, etc.) may be used, as long as it can write directly onto the note and create legible text.

The pages of the Death Note will never run out.

Some limited number of Death Notes have white or red front covers, but this makes no different in their effectiveness as compared with the black Death Notes.

The Beginning of Ownership

This note shall become the property of the human world once it touches ground in the human world.

The owner of a Death Note can recognize the image and voice of the original owner - a Shinigami, for example.

The human who touches the Death Note can recognize the image and voice of its Shinigami owner, even if the human is not the owner of the note.

Whenever a Shinigami in the human world dies and leaves behind its Death Note, the note's finder automatically becomes the owner. However, in this case, only a human who can see and hear that Shinigami is able to see and touch the Death Note. It is very unlikely, but if by any chance another Shinigami picks up the Death Note, that Shinigami becomes the owner.

If you lose the Death Note or have it stolen, you will lose its ownership unless you can retrieve it within 490 days.

When the owner of the Death Note dies while the note is on Loan, its ownership will be transferred to the person who is holding it at that time. If the Death Note is stolen and the owner is killed by the thief, its ownership will automatically be transferred to the thief.

The individuals who lose ownership of a Death Note will also lose their memories of it. However, this does not mean that they will lose all memories from the period of ownership: they will only lose the memories involving the Death Note.

When an individual with ownership of more than two Death Notes loses possession of one of them, he will no longer be able to recognize or hear that Death Note's Shinigami anymore. The Shinigami will leave, but all the memories involving the Death Note will remain to the owner as long as he maintains ownership of at least one other Death Note.

If a person loses possession of a Death Note he will not recognize its Shinigami by sight or voice anymore. However, if the owner lets someone else touch that Death Note, from that time on that person will continue to recognize the Shinigami's appearance and voice until he or she actually becomes the owner of the Death Note and subsequently loses possession of it.

When regaining ownership of a Death Note, the memories associated with it will also return. In cases where the owner was involved with other Death Notes as well, memories of all the Death Notes involved will return. The memories will return just by touching the Death Note, even without obtaining ownership of it.

Memories related to a Death Note are lost when its ownership is lost. But they may be regained by either obtaining ownership once again or by touching the Death Note. This can be done up to six times per Death Note. Any times more than that, the person's memory of the Death Note will not return and they will have to use it without any previous memory of it.

Even if you do not actually possess the Death Note, you may still use it to full effect.

You may lend the Death Note to another person while maintaining its ownership. The borrower may lend it to yet another person as well.

The person who borrows the Death Note will not be followed by a Shinigami. The Shinigami always remains with the owner of the Death Note. Also, the borrower cannot trade for the Shinigami Eyes.

Only by touching each other's Death Notes can owners recognize the appearance or voice of each other's Shinigami.

Losing memory of the Death Note by passing the ownership to another or by abandoning ownership will only occur when someone is actually killed using that Death Note. You will not lose memory of the Death Note if, for example, you merely owned it and did not write down anyone's name. In this case, you will not be able to hear or see the Shinigami anymore. You will also lose the power of the Shinigami Eyes if you made the trade.

Multiple Notebooks

Someone possessing more than one Death Note may write down a victim's name in one of the Death Notes and the cause of death in the other, and the death will still occur. The order of writing, however, is unimportant: if you write down the cause of death in one Death Note and afterward write the name in the other, the death will occur. This can be accomplished by two Death Note owners working together. In this case, it's necessary that the two touch each other's Death Notes.

Only six Death Notes are allowed to exist at a time in the human world. Of course, the Death Notes that the Shinigami own do not count. This means only six Shinigami that have passed on their Death Notes to humans can be in the human world at once.

One Shinigami is allowed to pass on Death Notes to only three humans at a time. However, it is possible for a single Shinigami to hand out up to six Death Notes - by handing three humans two Death Notes each, for example. In other words, one human could potentially own all six Death Notes.

If a seventh Death Note is given to a human when six already exist in the human world, nothing will happen when it is used.

In the event that there are more than six Death Notes in the human world, only the first six Death Notes that have been delivered to humans will have effect. The seventh Death Note will not become active until one of the other six Death Notes is destroyed or a Shinigami takes one of them back to the Shinigami realm.

Names to be in here soon...

Title: Hangman practisificationiser

uh yeah so this one requires quite a few files :) but its pretty cool
images are linked btw

Quote from filesHANGMAN
-> hangman.py
-> graphics.py
-> scores.txt
-> hangmen
|--> 0.png
|--> 1.png
|--> 2.png
|--> 3.png
|--> 4.png
|--> 5.png
|--> 6.png

inside scores.txt write this:
Quote from scores.txt
0 current streak
0 highest streak
0 total won
0 total won this run

um. fairly self-explanatory i think? this also requires the random module :)

i could explain all of this or i could go do something else.... i think ill pick the latter :) basically: i have a menu with 4 options in squares. it picks up your mouse click on each of the windows and runs the corresponding function, passing all the relevant parameters so the function knows which function to call next :) the main fuctions are main() which is the menu, choose() which either randomly chooses a word or creates a window for the second player to choose a word in, and guess() which is where the player guesses. annoyingly, if you type the same incorrect letter twice it counts both of those and continues drawing the hangman so its not perfect....

*me realising it doesnt show indentations in [code] blocks.... um... problem xD if you know how to fix that please let me know :D

It may not be a glitch, because they could have transferred it through 'POKEMON Bank' and used it to beat the champion there in Hoenn. The Sogaleo, though, might be real. Those seem pretty Legit.. just check the IV's!

This should really stay, it's a cool thing and I use it to keep notes of my giveaways, those who I owe and my observations about Pokemon, I PM'd myself first day I joined, just to keep track of my budget, I didn't know Emera Bank existed lol

The dead eye linked to Kayda's mind, wrapping around the memory and reading it for Tenacity's own.

A cry pierced the darkness, the silence splitting. A young boy stood in front of a mirror, clawing at his hand. His fingertips were grey, and something laid on the desktop in front of the mirror. Something that was flaking apart, dropping bits of rust. Tenacity had been fixing an object in his room, reaching for the iron took he needed to finish putting a knob back on the dresser. But the iron had corroded, and the boy's hand had started to change. The door burst open, two figures entering the room. They whispered, comforting words drifting through the air. Then, all went dark.

The boy, a few years older now, sat at the edge of a body of water, staring at the water, and at a fish he held in his right hand. A hand that was nearly entirely grey. Staring at the fish, he let out a cough, clearing his throat. He didn't have a fever, he knew he wasn't sick. Then, the dead fish started to change. Flesh started to decay, melting away to reveal the fragile, nearly invisible ribs of the fish. A shudder, a cry, and the fish sat on the Bank next to where he had been sitting. A man rushed over, talk and fair. Tenacity pointed at the fish, spewing words that were hardly understandable. His father understood, though. Beckoning to a woman reading a book, the man quickly and quietly explained what had happened to her. She looked at Tenacity, shock in her eyes.

Two days had passed. His parents held luggage for him. He did not understand, until he spotted a third. His aunt, genetic sister to his father, sat with them. His parents smiled, beckoned him towards them. His aunt sighed, grumbled. "Tenacity, you'll be staying with Nance for a while." The next few minutes flashed by. A large house appeared before Tenacity, Nance walking inside and grabbing a bottle. "Where am I sleeping?" Nance turned sharply. "Get this straight, kid. I don't care where you stay, as long as you don't get in the way of what I do. Set up in the attic for all I care. I'll give you cash to get food for yourself and that's it. You provide for yourself, and you get to stay." Tenacity felt shocked. Grabbing his luggage, two bags, he started to explore. He found stairs that led to a small room, and started to unpack. One bag held a cot, completely disassembled. The other bag held clothed. Quickly, Tenacity set up the cot, then shoved his second bag underneath it. A call from outside the room alerted him to something. "I'm leaving, enjoy your room. If anything's missing or destroyed when I get back, you're out! Get it? Out!" The front door slammed. Tenacity bit the inside of his cheek. The bottle had alcohol in it, he doubted Nance would remember if something was missing when she came back. If she came back, that was. Hurrying down the stairs, Tenacity found a stockpile of money. Only a few bills were taken, fear welling up in the boy. He ran back to his room, counting out what he had nabbed. Enough to get by, but only by barely.

Nance did not come back until the night of the next day.
