Wiki Helpers Wanted!

Hello everyone!
As the title suggests, we are looking for more Wiki Helpers! In case you didn't know - the Wiki is closed for everyone (apart from the Wiki staff) to prevent users from making unnecessary SPAM.

By becoming a Wiki Helper, you will have full access to the Wiki, which will allow you to edit and make articles and keeping all information up to date for everyone.

How can I join?

Good question! To apply, you will need to make some articles about a specific topic (Read below for the topics), and it's important that you Private Message the article(s) to me (Malkins) With the title "Wiki Helper Application".

In the spoiler below is the list of the articles which will need to be made for submission. You can pick any topic you want to write about.
Note: You can make a minimum of 1 article. Making more than 1 article will increase your chances of becoming a Wiki Helper.

Requirements


When applying, or writing/submitting an article, you will need to look out for the following:

• Trainer Level: Please make sure your Trainer Level is 30 or higher before applying. Your Trainer Level can be seen on your profile, and on your user bar.

• Active: It is extremely important that you are active on Pokéheroes (Having at least a total of 72 Game Time Hours) and will be active on the PokéHeroes Wiki.

• Grammar: Grammar is the key when writing an article. Your article will need to be clear and understandable to read. This includes correct spelling and correct punctuation.

• Information: Make sure what you're writing about is related to the topic you're meant to write about. If you're writing about the PalPad, don't write about the Storage Boxes. In other words, do not go completely off-topic.

• Language: Please write your articles in good English. Chat language, swearing and inappropriate language is not allowed in the articles.

• Helpful: Your article will need to be helpful for people, and informative as possible. This will mean going into detail about certain features.

• Images: Images/Screenshots are important in articles, as they will guide users who are stuck with something. If possible, try including some screenshots in your articles. (If you don't know how to take screenshots read the FAQ.)

Q: Will I get a Wiki Helper banner if I'm accepted?
A: Yes, you will!

Q: How many helpers will you accept?
A: Currently there is no limit, but we will be picking helpers based on how good your article submissions are. Being active on PokéHeroes will also be beneficial.

Q: How many submissions can we make?
A: As already stated, you can make one or more, about topics stated in the spoiler box above.

Q: How can I take screenshots?
A: I'd recommend you to use Lightshot is an easy tool. But if you don't want to download a program, you can use these guides: How to take screenshots in Windows or Mac

Q: How can I add screenshots in my submissions?
A: Check out this BBCode guide.

Q: Will we be able to use BBCode when making articles on the wiki?
A: The wiki does not use BBCode. It will have it's own special wiki code.

Q: Where will the accepted helpers be announced?
A: In this thread! If you are accepted, you will receive a PM.

Q: Is there a time limit for this?
A: There is no time limit for this currently - but there is also no need to rush; you all have plenty of time, and we will start picking the Helpers when we think the time is right. (Mostly judging on how many submissions we get)

Oh wow! This is quite the amazing opportunity at hand!
I would really like to take a shot at this, in all honesty.
I have one question though, how would these articles need to be set out/saved? Will they just be sent in PM with just the information for the article or is there more to it?

Not entirely sure if I’m understanding your question or not, so feel free to correct me if I’m wrong.

You just have to make the article(s) as presentable as possible, including BBCode and Screenshots/Images to guide the reader. It should be as informative and detailed as possible too! :]

Ah I think I get it now, so just send the entire layout with screenshots, and all BBCode shown. I think I can try that.
This is the first time I'm doing anything like this.

May I just ask, why does one of the requirements have to be trainer level 30+? It just seems weird, since the one after says you have to be active. My guess is because all features should be open by level 30+? Though the only feature from level 30 is missingno. I'll see If I can reach level 30 before it closes though, (the only time that you hope that people don't participate XD)

Is English supposed to be US or UK ?
And do we need to have information about any other codes (e.g. HTML) along with BB codes ?

@toma, not really. I mean kinda. But nugget users could just keep hatching event pokemon. It doesn't mean they're more active than regular users.
