Quote from RiakoI'm sorry, but iOS and Windows use a completely different coding language, which I never learned before. I might be able to code apps for these operating systems in the future, though it's very unlikely that PokéHeroes Mobile apps will be available for iOS/Windows in 2014/2015.
It's okay, I understand.
*stares at her mom who was the one who bought an Windows phone for Alice when she asked for an android one*

Anyway, thanks for all the coding and making us happy everyday.
I hope someday I can try this too.

Good idea, pal.
I think I'm gonna do the same *wink*

A few questions Riako, if i may?

1. Are shiny pokemon catchable through this method? (if so at normal rate or route 53 rate?

2. Are there any new pokemon available through this method? (ie ones not available through eggs/other methods at the moment?)

bourkey: No to both :)
Currently not. Though I'd really like to further develop this app and add special Pokémon, Shinies, more Items & Routes etc.
But first of all I wanted to keep it rather small to see if users are actually interested.

I love it so far. I have to force close it like every 20 steps, but other than that I couldn't wish for a better game.

Froststream: Thank you for the positive feedback! I'm really glad that all of you stay calm at the moment, even though that there are already some bugs depending on the device :) I already uploaded a bunch of patches & fixes today and you should frequently check the Google Play Store for the lastest upgrades. I'm hoping to make the step counter as stable as possible; and for me it is working perfectly fine already. I can close the App, browse through other apps or lock the screen. The Pedometer keeps counting anytime.

So far I really like the app -- went on a large walk and I'm playing the games now.
My only question is how many types of pokemon can you currently catch in the Tall Grass?
So far I've only been able to catch 2 different types...and I'm just wondering if thats because the App is in a 'beta' stage (or something along those lines).

skywalkerlover: You can currently catch 6 different Pokémon species. But just like in the real PokéWalker, you can not find them all in just one walk. You need to retrieve & resend your partner Pokémon at least once in order to have a chance of finding other species'.

And also, some species' are much rarer than others.

Another question i have,

Do you always need a stable internet connection in order for this to work?

Im wondering if i could use my old samsung galaxy with just wifi (since i dont have a sim or anything in it) in order to use this feature?

Or will the steps not count as soon as im out of wifi range? not too sure how these things work

The Step Counter works even without internet connection :) But all the other features require internet.

I'd recommend you not to start the app when you're not connected to the internet - since as far as I know, the app crashes then and probably also stops counting your steps until the next restart. I shall fix this soon hehe...

But all in all: Start the app at home; and then go outside to count your steps. Should work perfectly fine :)

Thanks for the answer Riako, and I'm glad to hear it will still count when I'm underground and out of internet connection.
Guess who's gonna run back and forth on the transit system??? XD

I was thrilled the moment I logged in and saw this update! :D It's very practical and those who are always on the go and have no time anymore to sit down on the computer would benefit from this! I wasted no time and bought it immediately when I saw it hahaha This in my opinion will really benefit me in three ways:

1) I can make progress offline!
2) It encourages me to walk more (which is what the doctor recommended me to do since we discovered last week that I have a heart problem).
3) It saves me money in the long run since I'd be walking home instead of using public transportation!

So a big thank you Riako for creating this! -^w^-
This will haunt you forever. CAUTION: You have been warned.
