Someone asks you for a missing pokemon, you go to their userprofile pokedex then compare to see what they are missing that you own multiple times.

Lets say you have some 'for sale boxes' with the pokemons you are selling. You find a pokemon that they are missing and says you have more than 1 of it and you go and check your for sale box but its not in there because the duplicate is in a different box that you want to keep because its for breeding or its a shiny/shadow...

This will mean that you have to keep checking your for sale box to find the duplicate that you don't need or you have to try and remember every single pokemon that is in that for sale box, which can be difficult to remember if you have many different types of pokemons.



My suggestion is to have a tick box with the boxes that you want to use to be able to 'compare' (maybe at bill's house)

Example:

Here are your boxes with a tick box:

Box 1 ⬜

Box 2 ⬜

Shinies ⬜

Shadows ⬜

Favourites ⬜

For Sale ⬜

For Sale 2 ⬜

Duplicates ⬜


The tick box represents 'Allow compare'

You now tick the ones you want to allow compare.


Box 1 ⬜

Box 2 ⬜

Shinies ⬜

Shadows ⬜

Favourites ⬜

For Sale ✅

For Sale 2 ✅

Duplicates ✅



You have now allowed 'For sale, For sale 2 and Duplicates' boxes to be able to use compare. This will now mean every time you go compare someones missings, you will now be shown what they are missing in those 3 chosen boxes, even though if you don't have a duplicate in those boxes. (like if you only have 1 pikachu in those 3 boxes it will still show up as that they are missing it for compare)


If you want to allow all of them then there will be a 'tick all' button so that you don't end up having to tick every single one.



This will allow you to save time, send missings to them quicker, reduces the long list (if the person has a lot of missings) and makes it easier to see if you have the pokemons you are selling/giving in those chosen boxes that they are missing without worrying about the pokemons that you want to keep from being compared.

I think this is a good idea for sorting out pokemon that you do not need for faster dex competion.

I think this would be a better way to complete dexes and give out missing mons, but maybe add a toggle button that lets you only see the mons you have duplicates of - it would be where you select the boxes you want to compare. This would help if you have mons that haven’t been sorted (due to lack of space, boxes, etc) and you don’t want them to be included in the boxes you’ve selected 🤔

If you add that toggle button wouldn't it mean the other pokemons that there isn't a duplicate will not be shown.

Like let's say you have 1 pikachu, 1 charmander and 1 Squirtle and other duplicates in the for sale box. You received a pokemon that your missing but ended up in the for sale box.

You use that toggle button, your one missing mon does not appear for compare but the other mons that you only have 1 in the for sale box will not show cause you only have 1 in those chosen boxes and not duplicates.

So it might be better when you use compare and shows the mons they are missing and if it say you have 1x

You can just check if you already have it or not. This way might be easier to see if its the one you need to keep or not.

It does help you cause if you ask people for your missings they are able to compare much more easily and send you your missings.

You won't be able to compare yourself but you can compare others or ask others to compare you and fill out your dex.

They also can sort the pokemon automatically if they add a function like that. You can also add like a pokedex function to GTS instead of the userprofile

The pokemons are already sorted in order when you compare. Also I don't really see a reason to put the pokedex function at GTS cause GTS is a place to trade, the pokedex function you go to someone's userprofile and it shows you their pokedex.

You just click on the user's name on the trade and you can go to their pokedex straight away on their userprofile so I don't think that's needed.
