The bell had finally rung for the transition to second period. Sakura smiled and began to pack up her belongings as the other students headed out before her. But one of them remained, and instead, walked up to Sakura.
"Hey, Sakura! What was up with you today? You seemed out of it, is something going on with you? Thinking of a boy~?" The classmate teased Sakura playfully.
Sakura looked up at the student and flushed. "W-What?! No! Don't be absurd! I was just..." Sakura paused. Then continued. "I was thinking of someone, sure. But it wasn't a boy, and I don't have a crush on anyone, so you can scratch that though out of your head!" She blurted out in embarrasment.
"Okay, okay! I was just joking around with you! Anyways, I'll see you around. Ciao!"
Sakura forced her redness down and sighed. Exiting her classroom, she waited for Eris to leave hers. They always walked together during class switches, anyways!
As she waited patiently, Sakura was lost in thought again.
...
"I don't have a crush on anyone..."
...
Did she? Was it...
"Agh, snap out of it! Just wait for Eris!" Sakura said to herself, shaking her head. Putting on a smile, she awaited her... best friend.

*Riiiiing!*
At last, the end of first period had come. Just as she had before the incident, Eris was collected and out the classroom door before anyone else. Despite her usual speed, one classmate managed to catch up to her. It was one of the girls in her Chemistry class, and the expression she had suggested curiosity and a hunger for gossip. It confused Eris, but everything clicked when the girl spoke.
"Hey~, Eris, right? Sorry for popping up so suddenly. I noticed you doodling during class and, well, my curiosity kept me looking. Sakura is that girl you've been seen around with, right?"
It took everything in Eris's core to not gasp or turn red. By the stars... She hadn't thought to hide her notebook with the doodles! It made her stomach flip on itself...
"Y-y-yeah. But s-so what? We're friends..." She stammered out, unable to keep her face completely clear. Her cheeks took on a lush pink color at her own words. And to her added horror, when she lifted her gaze up and forward, she spotted Sakura.

"Eris!" Sakura let out her arms and pulled her best friend into a warm hug, closing her eyes, keeping her smile.
She hadn't let go for a while, until she opened her eyes and saw a few students staring at her in confusion. They then left after a few moments.
Turning pink, feeling embarrased yet again, she quickly let go of Eris, giggling nervously. "S-Sorry...anyways, how was your first period? Mine was boring, as always, but it wasn't so bad today. W-What about you?"
Sakura seemed to be really nervous, especially after the little 'do you have a crush' conversation with her classmate before she had left. For now, it would be best not to think about it for a while...
Sakura had noticed another student who was nearby Eris. A bit puzzled, she had also noticed that Eris looked a bit embarrased, too. Maybe something happened between them? Oh well...
"Whenever you're ready, I'll walk you to your second period! No rush, of course!" Sakura smiled once again, eyeing at Eris sweetly.

"Eris!"
Eris didn't bother trying to not smile as Sakura ran up to her, returning her best friend's maybe more's? hug happily. She was happy to stay in the embrace, even feeling the stares of other students. She found she didn't care about it. All that mattered was Sakura.
"S-Sorry...anyways, how was your first period? Mine was boring, as always, but it wasn't so bad today. W-What about you?"
Eris smiled, even though she wanted to pout as the hug ended. "Boring for me as well. A simple informative day." She said. That was when the student who had spotted Eris's doodles suddenly spoke up.
"So boring for her that she was doodling the whole time!" The girl piped in. "Ooo~! Maybe you should totes show her them, Eris! I'd bet she'd love the- MMPH!" Eris quickly covered the gossipy girl's mouth, her own cheeks starting to become pink again as she forced a weird laugh. "I'm sure Sakura wouldn't really find those interesting! A doodle's a doodle, you see one you've seen them all!" Despite the sudden urge to find the nearest window and throw either herself or the other girl out of it, Eris forced herself to not dart off. New eyes were suddenly on them anyway... (OOC: I learned that there's a word for the act of throwing one's self or another being out of a window. It's Defenestrate)

She couldn't help but let out a giggle. Eris was so silly! Seeing another girl walk over to them, she momentarily paused her laughter. Did she need something? The girl then decided to join in on the conversation, adding onto what Eris had told her.

Sakura blinked in suprise as Eris suddenly interrupted the girl by covering her mouth. What was Eris drawing anyways? Surely it wasn't bad or anything..
Seeing Eris turn slightly pink as she shut the girl up, she let out another giggle. Cute!
"I'm sure Sakura wouldn't really find those interesting! A doodle's a doodle, you see one you've seen them all!"
Sakura decided to chime in on the conversation. "If you don't mind, I'd love to see your drawings, Eris! I didn't know you could draw in the first place! If anything, I would love to see your art work! Only if you're okay with me seeing them, of course!" She smiled sweetly.
She didn't know why Eris seemed to be embarrased. Maybe she was shy about her art being shown around? She shrugged it off. She was sure that whatever Eris drew was probably beautiful!

Was Eris asleep and having a nightmare? It felt like she was in the middle of a dream going sour. First this gossip girl popped in and now Sakura-
"If you don't mind, I'd love to see your drawings, Eris! I didn't know you could draw in the first place! If anything, I would love to see your art work! Only if you're okay with me seeing them, of course!"
How was Eris supposed to respond?!? It honestly felt like a 'doomed if you do, doomed if you don't' sort of scenario. Add to that matter, with the way she had intercepted the gossip girl's tattle, Sakura must think something's up! What could Eris say to get out of this pinned situation?!... Aha! "Uh, s-sure Sakura! Maybe at lunch I can show you. I have a couple sketchbooks you can look at..."

Sakura nodded, her smile unchanging. "Sounds great! Well, we better hurry to our next classes! We might be late! After that, then we can hang at lunch! I can't wait to see your drawings, I'm sure they're lovely!"
Sakura let out her hand to Eris, signaling her that she could hold it on their way together.
"Whenever you're ready!" She giggled.

Sakura's classmate from earlier happened to see from afar. Even though her class from before wasn't that far, she was able to get a sneek peek of the scene. Her eyes narrowed with a grin, as she went back inside her next class.
Someone was toooooootally in love! Although she wasn't really suprised, she did think Sakura would have been crushing on a boy... but it happened to be that Eris girl! They looked cute together, anyways!
She would definetly be teasing Sakura about this tomorrow.

The relief Eris felt when Sakura so readily moved past the situation was immense. She was almost certain she was going to collapse, but she held up, especially as Sakura extended her hand for Eris to hold. Eris smiled wide as she took up the offer.
"Off we go!" She said sweetly, mostly thankful to be out of the situation while, as always, happy to be this close to Sakura...

The gossip girl that had started the situation couldn't help a playful smirk. With the other two distracted, she easily slipped into the crowd. She totes needed to tell her fellow gossipers about the juicy discovery! And perhaps, with a little help, the two girls could skip several steps of the 'getting together' process.

Sure, her face was still a bit red, but what could she say? Having this friendship with Eris made her feel great inside, and out.
"Say, Eris, I've just realized..." Sakura began to giggle.
"I don't think you've ever met my parents! They know I almost always talk about you a lot... a-as a friend of, of course! Maybe after today, I can get you to see them? Or mayby another day if you're busy!"
Sakura's parents never minded whenever Sakura came home with friends, but they have noticed that Sakura would always talk about that Eris girl. They had only known her from that one court case on the news, anything else was just Sakura's constant rambles about her.
"If Miss Aido doesn't mind as well, she can allow you to come! It only makes sense if I can have her permission to bring you over! We can have a sleepover, too! Oh, it would be so fun!"
Sakura beamed as she was now holding both of Eris' hands.
Suddenly, the late bell had rang. Sakura was startled. They were late for their next classes now...
"Ah.. I'm sorry, Eris... I must have lost track of the time a little bit... But I'm sure it's no biggie if we're a few minutes late, right?" A nervous chuckle came from Sakura.
