Can't change username

I went to change my username from th30 to soleil (French word for sun if you were curious) but when I hit the Change Username button nothing happened and my username has not changed

There wasn't any prompt, or any text saying "that username is invalid/taken" or anything (don't know if it is taken but still)

Update: it is taken by an inactive user. Still didn't give me a prompt or anything.

Is it just a bug on my end with my school wifi being weird and slow? I really wanted to change it before school starts but it seems I won't be able to now

Another update: it did change. It just didn't give me a prompt that Soleil was taken already which would've been nice

An error message is now shown when you attempt to change your username to a name that's already taken.
