"As the sun set, the last rays of light flew over the lands, illuminating the field of flowers that hid a crimson stain of the slaughtered village.

The last survivors, were chained to the ground, forced to watch their friends and family writhe in agony and wheeze out their last breaths. Tears and blood alike hit the ground, leaving scars on the village's history.

In the last five years, a group of entities, walked the Earth, leaving chaos wherever they went. Nobody knew where they came from. Theories speculated everything from them being creatures that fell from the heavens in the meteor shower the day before it all started, to the reigning king wanting less people to care for.

The thing that confused most of the theorists was the fact that the treasures of each town were not taken. Due to that, leaving the capitol was incredibly dangerous, as thieves and bandits riddled the abandoned towns, scavenging for goods. The king had already been moved to the magic tower, in hopes of long-lasting life.

However, right before his move, he ordered his general to gather a small group of capable people to investigate this odd situation.

Five years after the entities first appeared, letters flew across the lands, addressing the people the general chose by hand."


As the young man wearing a hood maneuvered in between the people crowding around him, he found the door. He looked around the tavern, nodding to the barista before entering the room. The Royal General clicked a stopwatch and motioned for him to sit.

"Freyr Sheehan? You're the earliest, but 15 minutes late."

Freyr glanced down at the letter. He had come as early as he could, but still. The letter was a scavenger hunt bouncing the ones from tavern to tavern. As if they were children.

A figure in a red-and-black coat had been searching taverns for the past half hour."If this isn't the one, I swear-" she muttured under her breath. The figure opened the door to yet another crowded tavern, noticing The Royal General and a slim boy next to him. She walked up to him and removed her hood, revealing silken red hair. She nodded at him, presenting herself, yet without speaking a word.

Soon after, Elehah Relbit, the renowned Devils doctor had arrived. He stared at the bussiling tavern in a faint distaste before nodding at the Royal Guard and taking a seat in one of the empty tables. The tavern itself wasn't hard to find, but to find time in his schedule was a different battle completely.

Elehah sat down in silence completely ignored Freyr and the others as if he was just simply air.

Or perhaps he just doesn't see himself the same as other people.

Who knows what Elehah is thinking, but if there is one fact that can stand above all, is that his skills is something that people would kill to get ahold of. So it was natural he may be late, afterall, he is a busy man.

Freyr nodded to the doctor that had strolled in. The man was quite famous in the parts where Freyr had come from. Freyr still hadn't taken his hood off. The general looked at the three that had walked in.

"Two or three more..."

The general closed his eyes. One of his hands were heavily bandaged.

A tall skinny figure strode into the tavern. Her black-and-blue hair flowed down her shoulders. She approached The Royal General and bowed, then proceeded to sit as far away from the others as possible.

She scanned the room, noting the most recognizable features of all the currently-arrived cadets. Red hair, height, wide shoulders...

Perhaps it was because his profession was a doctor, Elehah can't help but take a sweeping glance at everyone's body with a piercing gaze. Before his eyes stopped at the bandaged hand of the Royal Guard Captain.

"3rd Degree burn, and scarring. Or.. perhaps poison that erodes skin."

He said simply, as he lifted his cold eyes and stared at the Royal Guards face.

"It's one of the two, am I right?"

Even though Elehah asked for confirmation, he seems confident of his answer that he is just asking for confirmation just to be polite. This is what years of experience in his field does for him. Sometimes these wounds, all it takes is for a specialized expert to take a glance to know the answer.

And Elehah.. is far more than just a simple specialized expert. It would be humiliating to even group him together with those people.

The general smiled. "Poison. Some of my men are a bit cowardly when faced with monsters."

A man scurried in, holding drinks and passed a cup around to everyone.

The General denied it, but Freyr accepted it. Freyr's fingers lingered on the cup. The drinks had ice in them but were burning hot to the touch. A very rare drink these days.

Elehah nodded curtly, he understood this fact very well. Sometimes when fear comes into the body, everything just seems to freeze, including yourself.

That is why, it was so important for people to keep their cool and composure, or else accidents like this could happen.

In abit of a daze, Elehah simply chugged down the glass of alcohol. The liquid seemed to burn as if flowed down his throat, but at the same time, it cleared his mind. Right, he shouldn't get to involved with the people here, and keep his distance.

Definitely, keep his distance.

Evangaline grabbed a cup. The orange drink sparkled in the light of the tavern. A sip burned her tounge. The caffine - and whetever else was in it - shot through her veins. Perhaps this was like an energy potion? Either way, it was good.

The skinny girl denied the cup. It was too early for alchohol. She didn't need to be getting drunk on the first day. The girl looked at the lighting outside the tavern window, or what she could make out of it, as it was being blocked by the crowd. Quarter past ten, I'd say... She noticed the discussion about the poisin. Poison that corrodes the skin? It must be an Entities' acid. A souveneir from the battlefield.

Freyr touched the cup again and then slid it aside. He wasn't a fan of liquor. He had met up with the General when Freyr was a child. They were at a carnival. His green eyes flashed and he glanced up at the door. The server who had brought them their drinks was standing there, eyes colorless. In the server's trembling hands was a gun.

Freyr snapped to attention and grabbed the other end of the gun and flipped it around, shoving the barrel against the man's neck.

"Mr. Sheehan. Remember to be a bit more gentle with victims next time. After all, it isn't them that's doing whatever they are."

The General stood up and approached the man. He turned to face the other three like a teacher facing his students.

"Anyone want to tell me what you do in this situation?"

"Incapacitate." was the quick answer form the tall girl. In an instant, she was behind the server, hands on a pressure point, ready to knock him out.

We must leave the tavern, if they're here. Now is not the time nor place for a battle. They did not have gear or reinforcements, let alone a plan. They could not fight here. "Permission to take out?" She asked The Royal General.

"I dunno" Evangeline mumbled. "Try to cure him or something? Find the source? Fight?" She honestly didn't care. Strategy was not her thing.

The pale girl was slightly offended. That's how I always dealt with them...

Elehah calmly sat up, his hand checking his pulse.

"Perhaps. Rather than wasting time knocking a lacky out and being impatient, why not take him for interrogation? Afterall, they must have a goal coming this far, and dispatching this many men."

Elehah looked at the Royal Guard and tilted his head calmly with a smirk.

"Did I get it right General?"

There were many piercing eyes staring at the group in the sidelines within the tavern.

"And you would prefer to get shot while taking him for interrogation? Obviously, if you're taking the bet that he still has his sanity, and he hasn't been in their controll for too long, you incapacitate him, neutralize him, then interrogate him." The girl snapped back. "The general would like to know your first move right now, Doctor, not what you plan to do. Unless you'd like to be doing the interrogation in front of an entire tavern, while having a gun pointed at your head." She said condescendingly.

The man's eyes glowed blue and his hair turned red. A clarity came to his eyes.

The General smiled.

"I guess the answer came before any could get the answer. Some parts of the host will morph to the entities real form. Anyone know anyone who's missing, has blue eyes, and red hair?"

Freyr perked up, looking at the man.

"No. You wait for it to transform to gather notes on the entity that is using the host." Freyr was speaking up for once. "I- I've been studying the one around this area. The notes I have on it is uhm. Pale skin, blue eyes, red hair. Matches up with a missing buddy of mine..."

The General nodded respectfully at Freyr. "Bingo."

Do they really think they can overtake a fully transformed Entity? With no gear, reinforcements, or plan? Seriously? Maybe coming here was a mistake She thought. But what do I know? she added to herself. This man had experience. Maybe he secretly had a plan.

The General glanced at the man.

"Now the thing is. These forms of the entities are not as dangerous as the entities themselves. It can only rely on the power of the host itself."

He pulled out a small pepper and shoved it into the man's mouth.

"Just put anything that's extremely spicy, salty, or sweet in their mouths and they should be back."

As he had said, the man morphed back into himself and began to snore softly.
