"Sure. We all know it's because of the hot temperatures. But, we
need to be fast, or else we will be extinct. And for the money!!"
She suddenly grew a cheerful tone, it seems like she likes coins
and prizes very much.
“Yeah. Well, mostly for the farmers. I worry what will happen if
the rain truly stops falling…” She smiled. “But I trust the
diviners, and Lady Iwu. If they believe we can help, then we’ll be
okay”
”Mysterious… surprising… and law-defying… Isn’t that
right?”
"Me, as well." She nodded in agreement to Yawen. "Well then, shall
we go investigate the surrounding city? We can talk while walking
around." She kept a flask of water in case she overheated- which
made her shiny scales shrivel up, and she didn't like it when that
happened.

Crispe smiled. Now that is truly what they needed to do. She went
forward and unzipped her backpack, and found a few bottles of soft
drinks and food. "Okay, I'm ready."
Soliana came across quite a crowd of people, they were a few of the
people that were in the office with her. She walked up to them,
“Hello… mind if I ask what you are talking about?” She asked
quietly
Azazel ignored the message on his phone. He never really looked at
the messages he got anyway. He wasn’t talking to anybody, finding
that introducing himself would be pointless and to just get all
this finding stuff over with would be best. It would also be
frustrating remembering everyone’s names. He was leaning on a
lamppost.
Ami sees a fellow sitting by the lamppost and she wondered if she
needs a partner to train for the battles ahead, so she walked up to
the fellow and asked, "Excuse me Azazel, but do you need a partner
to train for the battles ahead, I'm available and I can teach you
about the defense and also some archery if you are up for the
challenge", Ami said with a slight smile.
Azazel sighed. “If it’s fighting that you wanna do sure, I’m always
up to fight someone.” he said, turning to Ami. She seemed skilled
enough, and if she was a part of this team then she must be
skilled. He was actually kinda excited to go against Ami.
Ami smiled, "Show me what you are made of", Ami said as she grabbed
her bow and arrow, "Give me everything that you got", Ami said. As
she prepared herself, she knows that her archery skills will be put
to the test during her training against Azazel, hopefully it will
be a huge improvement and boost to the battles ahead.
Kat smirked when Crispe mentioned money, that was one of the big
things on her mind as well. "Yeah, let's get this over with," she
agreed with the vidyadhara girl. She wasn't too keen on walking
around, as she barely even spent any time out in the sunlight, but
at least her drone could do some of the scouting work. She would
never admit it, but secretly it was kind of a nice change from all
of her independent coding gigs.
She then saw a new person approaching them. More people meant less
work for her, right? "You were summoned here too?" she asked
Soliana. "We were gonna look around the city, find the optimal way
to get this job done."
“Oh, Aria Grace just suggested investigating the surroundings, I
think that would be a great idea” She hummed lightly “It would be a
good idea to try and find some research of our own before Lady Iwu
gives us some direction…”
”Mysterious… surprising… and law-defying… Isn’t that
right?”
Azazel pulled his sword out of its sheath, and got ready to attack
whenever Ami started shooting her arrows. He loved fighting and
couldn’t get enough of it. He kept a steady eye on the bow, waiting
for the shot to start the ‘battle’.
Ami grabbed her first arrow and soon said, "Here it goes", she
released the bow and the arrow started to go fast hoping that
Azazel will deflect the attack, Ami grabbed her second arrow as she
started to run and soon enough she sees a tree and with her left
foot pushed herself and used her second arrow to find Azazel in
hopes that Azazel will deflect that second arrow as well.
Azazel uses his sword to deflect the first and second arrow. “Gotta
do better than that to beat me.” he said, running to where Ami had
gone in the tree. He pressed a button as his sword straightened and
became solid again as he ran.
Ami paid attention and soon she lept from the tree, and used her
arrow to attempt to get the attention of Azazel, "See if you can
make this", Ami said as she released another arrow. Soon she ran to
catch up to Azazel hoping that will stun Azazel and soon Ami
grabbed her arrow and with the bow released it and soon it deflect
the mirror and soon it was about to make it's way to Azazel.
Azazel looked at the arrows. He could easily block those measly
projectiles. He saw an arrow out of the corner of his eye, and
dodged it, still going after Ami. There wasn’t anybody really
around right now, so he had the freedom to be a bit wild.
Ayran motioned his hands around him, they might as well leave now.
As the more time wasted, the less likely the chance they'll get
anything done by today.
And oh lord, did he not like wasting his time diddling
daddling.
"So we shall." She nodded and motioned for the others to follow,
opening the doors. It was very hot out, but she was prepared. "Come
on, everyone! Yawen, you too!" She held her hand out for Yawen.
They were very nice people.

She took her hand, following. The heat was horrible. It messed up
her fur. “We could always visit the weather station, see the
records of the past few months…”
”Mysterious… surprising… and law-defying… Isn’t that
right?”
Crispe nodded and followed the others. She noticed the heat. It was
blazing hot, more than anything she'd felt before. After all, she
always rested in the cool waters.
