Ōmagatoki: Voluntas Dei Morientis (Game 4)

Current Time: DAY

All characters may speak during the day. They may also choose to condemn a character to the Extermination Room.

Homusubi, the Kami-no-Kami of fire, stood before the twelve gathered spirits. His normally fierce demeanor was now tinged with a solemn sadness, not unlike the ashen landscape of Mastix.

"My dear spirits," he began, "As you may know, the life of a kami is not eternal. And it seems that my time is drawing to a close," Homusubi held up a hand to silence any speech. "But fear not, for I have decided to hold the fourth Ōmagatoki, and I invite you all to participate."

Homusubi paused, his eyes scanning the group before him. "You see," He continued, "my power as a Kami-no-Kami is great, but it is not meant for just one. I wish to pass on my divine power to another worthy spirit. And what better way to determine that than through a game of Ōmagatoki?"

Homusubi's voice was filled with a sense of urgency.

"But be warned, my friends. The world of Otherworld is in turmoil. Alice Beaumontt-Devereux has ignited a war on Anastasia Blackthorne's realm, and the economic battle between the Inari and Puragu clans has caused the value of our currency to plummet. The stakes of this Ōmagatoki are higher than ever before."

"But with the right mindset, one who can unite and lead the ruins of Mastix, we can bring peace and stability back to our world. So, let us see who among you is truly worthy of my divine power."

Homusubi led the twelve spirits through the newly-constructed venue, showing them their individual housing. Each house was well-equipped with all the necessities for their temporary stay.

Now, discuss. Prepare yourselves for the battle to come," Homusubi said solemnly. "Remember, the fate of Otherworld rests in your hands."

Human-aligned Roles

Civilians (4)
[The Civilians have no special ability, and thus only provide voting power. They should attempt to figure out their fellow Humans and try to vote on any character a Miko claims to have found to be aligned with the Yōkai.]

Saints (2)
[The Saints are able to protect a character from a kill and die in their stead. If possible, they should prioritize protecting the Miko and Valkyrie over regular Civilians or another Saint, as well as protect any potential characters marked by the Archangel]

Miko (1)
[Finds Yōkai-aligned characters. If a character is discovered to be aligned, the Miko should present the information to other characters. However, if both Saints are dead, it may be advisable for the Miko to withdraw their information until there is only one Yōkai-aligned role alive.]

Valkyrie (1)
[May select one dead character to kill another character. Obviously avoid letting Yōkai-aligned characters or an Archangel to choose.]

Yōkai-aligned Roles

Djinn (1)
[May give a character either a death wish, a protective wish, or an investigative wish. Death wishes can be given to anyone, but come with a risk of accidentally killing a Yōkai member unless the wish is given to a Yōkai-aligned character. A protective wish can be given to avoid a Valkyrie kill, and an investigative wish can be used to disguise a Yōkai member as a Miko.]

Yuki-onna(1)
[Can block a character from using their role for a night. If a power role (non-Civilian) is suspected or outted, the Yuki-onna should always block them.]

Nukekubi (1)
[Basic Yōkai role, can be used as a distraction and voted out/killed with a death wish to make another more valuable Yōkai member look innocent.]

Third-party Roles

Archangel (1)
[Marks two characters and wins when both of them die. Should try to be subtle about getting the two marked characters to be killed or voted out, as the Archangel can still win if they have already died.]

Oh my word. My dude. Was this really real?

Dorky blinked awake into the building he now found himself in, extremely perplexed. He now found himself wondering if any thoughts he had previously had, in regards to reality itself being questionable, may have in fact, proven themselves to be true.

He never expected to wind up here in... Such a peculiar situation.

Well, he supposed he should probably... Talk to someone, right?

"Oh my goodness... Oh my goodness. Okay. Okay. Deep breaths."

He was in some kind of game right now, that would decide the fate of the Otherworld or something? Whatever this was, this was EPIC.

He got up, finding himself pacing back and forth, flapping his hands around, jumping up and down, and grinning like mad. He also found himself perspiring nervously, I mean, well...

Gosh. He'd have to--

TALK TO PEOPLE?

Okay. Focus. The Otherworld is depending on you! Whether this is a dream or hallucination or something, just play along. This could be fun!

Wait, she landed on her face. He facepalmed, and a moment of realization hit him.

He reached out a hand to her. "Ah! Gosh, sorry, sorry! I'm so sorry. I just realized your predicament! Are you okay? Are you hurt?"

Almost kinda reminded him of a certain other two things, which he banished to the back of his mind. Now was not the time for references!

Or... Maybe it was?

*Sylvie Rose Potter was lying unconscious on the floor. For the twentieth time in her life.

At the wrong time her phone rang and began playing “Never Be Alone” at full volume.*

“Prepare for the horrors, this night will keep repeating over and over, and over, until you make it to the end-“

*Sylvies hand batted the phone away. It did nothing. After the song repeated itself for the 5th time, she eventually got up and answered it. Unfortunately, the second she picked up the phone the caller declined.*

So there were more others here! It seemed like... They knew each other? That was interesting. And well... Honestly nothing new. He didn't want to interrupt anything, and he was preoccupied with the mystery of the girl that had arrived here.

This whole situation was honestly so confusing. Was it all even real? Were any of these people... Real? Was it all in his head?

"...Hey, um, are you okay? Sorry. If I'm bothering you. You just- landed on your face, and- I thought I'd check on you, to, see if you're hurt or not but- if you want me to go away, that's okay too! That's fine. All part of the plan and stuff!"

She stared at Dorky.

Aria looks at Sylvie, Vortex and Luffy.
The first two know each other, Vortex claims to be human (easy victim for Yōkai if not lying), and Luffy seems to be new?

She knew some of the people here, having seen them before. Suko, Paiyoon and Kotone.

The rest of them were new to her. Or at least, they were new. "How would they fare?" She thought.

She explores her surroundings before planning her next step.
