Skysaeia, a land of endless ocean.
Skysaeia, a land of endless adventure.
Think of it as your multiplayer open-world map with boundless quests and side quests. There are no continents, only islands, as far as the mind can dream. Only three people in history have even seen the borders of the world. The third was a navigator known as Moon.
There are legendary adventuring crews that roam the Skysaeian Sea. Some quest for gold, others for glory, and some just for the hell of it. But all the best crews are formed in childhood, with nineteen year old captains, and eight year old navigators. As the crew grows old together, the name of their ship is etched into time.
Aside from their signet flag, ships fly one of three other flags:
Skull and Crossbones: this ship holds a crew of pirates
Naval Coat of Arms: this ship holds a crew loyal to a specific island/empire
Skysaeian Eye: this ship holds a crew who serves the land of Skysaeia above all
Magic is gifted by Skysaeia. The wind, water, and beasts of the deep obey only the strongest captains, the bravest crewmen, and the most skilled navigators. These are the warriors chosen by the world. There exists other magic, but none can stand against the tidal force that is the magic of Skysaeia.
There are "monsters".
Dread krakens, sea dragons, thunder eels, air whales, septopi, and more.
Beware. Together, we sail.

Moon, Iteral, and Lydia find themselves on a Skysaeian ship. It is captained by the notorious Captain Jack. That's Captain Jackery Soot, by the way. Welcome to the AU, ig.

A girl with long raven-black hair appeared in the middle of the sky, an axe raised high over her head, her crimson eyes gleaming dangerously. Then she fell straight to the ground. her axe slammed straight into the ground.
She glared at something in the air.
"What? What do you mean 'patch note because I traveled to a different dimension!' I'm still in 1180 Mong-"
She glanced up, taking her surroundings in.
"Oh."

A crewman called for the Captain, and Jackery Soot came bounding down the stairs from the bow deck.
"Well, whale, well. What do we have here?" The Captain was twenty-five, and was

"Hi! Hi, hi! I'm Lydia Satou! Nice to meet you!"
Her raven-black hair bobbed and swirled unnaturally, as she stuck out her hand. She left her axe embedded in the ground.

"Fifteen knots," She called back promptly. She was openly staring at the Captain and the new girl, her blonde hair blowing free in the wind.

"Wow, all of you guys are so pretty! What's your secret?"
She flitted around, disappearing and reappearing a few feet away, glancing at everything, taking it all in.

"The secret? Skysaeian air. But my dear, I am far too old for you," Jack said with a laugh. "And besides, I rarely date my crewmates. But enough prattle. Do you know how to haul rope, or should I stick you in the crow's nest? Hmm, Moon's been in need of a navigation assistant too. Where would you feel most comfortable?"

She skidded to a stop in front of Jack.
"Usually, they try to kill me, actually. meanies."
She went back to popping in and out of existence, this time hauling her axe. The axe was about half her size, but she carried it with ease.
"I can do anything, really! Wow, it feels so good not to be stabbed the moment I come to a new world!"

The brunette groans, a wave of shadows washing over her and a clock under her dialing itself back to quarter past noon. It was more obvious when she slowly stood up, as her former signs of age and wrinkles vanished. Her youthful glamour seemingly restored itself... and her uniform taking a seaworthy take, her witch's hat gained feathers and her clock symbol turned to that of a ship's steering wheel.
"... reminder to myself... when going through time streams... make sure to go clockwise..." She muttered, then looking around to see the new world she was in. "Ummm... what... year is it?"

"Right, welcome. I am Captain Jackery Soot, and this is The Inverness. The year is Eleven-Q-Capricorn and you are in Skysaeia."
"Don't worry, we won't try to kill you unless you try to kill us first! And anyone who does that to multiversal travellers are just stupid." Jack was just... fine with it. "Now where would you like to make yourself useful on the ship?"
Moon was extremely confused, but buoyed by her Captain's lead, accepted the strange turn of events.

She turns away real quick, pulling out more clocks to check on each of them. "Let's see... mmmh... okay. This timeline doesn't have a me... it's the past... and I am on cooldown. Alright." She turns back to face the captain, still unaware of her rejuvenated looks.
"Well, I got no plans of killing or harming anyone of you. Ummm, last time I was a pirate was in 1701. I was the navigator and a cook, so if you have vacant spots in those areas, count me in. Otherwise, I'm fine with everything. Oh yeah, names, ehhh."
She takes her witch's hat off and holds it to her chest, while extending her other hand to shake Jackery's hand. "Iteral Wavia Lucenox. At your service."
Skysaeia. Why does that sound familiar.

"Moon!" She called to the young navigator. "Set this one up in Chef Salcedo's old quarters, will you?"
Moon nodded once, and handed her sextant to the Captain. A brief exchange transferred all the knowledge the Captain needed to know about this leg of their journey. Moon and Iteral were on their way.

During her short walk with Moon, she looks around the ship and asked her some questions, regarding the overall situation. If she was going to stay here for a while, the least she could do is learn more about this place. "Soooo, what's your story, Luna- I mean, Moon?"

They weaved through the belowdecks until Moon arrived at a small door. "Here's the chef's quarters. The galley is to your right. Unlike most ships, we don't have a mess... We just eat on deck. Just get settled. Dinner's in a few hours."

"Stellae mae!" She runs around, being a lot more energetic all of a sudden. "Oh my god, you got the rudicul! Aeris instrumenta!" The excitement was so high, Iteral did not notice that she was saying Latin things. "I haven't had this kind of cooking equipment since I left home all those years ago! Oh, hold on, if you say the galley is there... let me check the stock!" She charges right inside, trying to find what kind of food they have in store.

She followed Iteral quietly.

She was very eager on cooking. "Oh, I know you're a navigator... I think... but do you want to be my assistant? Just so you know I don't poison you all!" That was an excuse. But she didn't mind.

"Man, what a cool place! Dream-land Mongolia has nothing on this!'
her teleportation only sped up, as blue flashes of light blinked in and out.
"Where are we? This is so cool. What should I do? Oh, everything looks so exciting! It's been a century since I've been out of that nasty afterlife! Man, I wonder if I could find my way back home?"
What a strange girl.

"And Captain Jack eats anything as long as it's tasty. Just make something you're comfortable with. Establish yourself before you start to experiment. At least, that's my advice. Any other pressing questions before lunch?"

"Oh, sorry, I got off-track. Only question is how many heads I am cooking for, the rest I'll manage. I just hope you do not mind a taste of home!" Iteral said in a very enthusiastic tone, already with another cooking utensil in hand and squirting in something from a bottle. "Give the Captain my regards though!"
