Mercy looked out the window. One more time. She'd have to try again. Go to that rift. Find the source of the power blocking her from going in. But if it was an enemy's magic, she'd have to find them. Which would take so much longer.

“Uhm…” He thought about what he might wanna eat while he was downstairs with Iteral. “Can I have ssssssone bisssssuitsssssssss pleassssse?” he asked. “A-and ssssssome water?” he asked nicely. Very cute child wasn’t asking for much but it'd make his day for a little snack.

Caleb looked at Mercy. “The fudge you’re thinking about? I’m not letting you close to that bad place.” he said. It sounded a lot less serious since he couldn’t curse, but he had to deal with it for now.

"We have to start somewhere." How had this conversation turned on its head so completely? Moon was literally sweating buckets, overheating. But somehow she still had the chills. She felt feverish and nauseous, the symptoms of withdrawal from Bliss worsening by the minute.

"We would need to be... careful." Even her voice was strained.

Caleb grumbled a bit and sighed. He knew there was no stopping her once she put her mind to something. “Well there’s not much I can don't stop you and your plans. Just please don’t kill yourself if you don’t mind doing that?” he asked. He wouldn’t say it but he obviously cared for her.

Caspian nodded to Iteral. “Mommy can’t be ssssssssad.” he said, and got the small tray of biscuits. He would definitely be giving one to Mercy.

"I believe in you, Caspian!" She said a little louder, chuckling and just effectively raiding the kitchen for potentially useful stuff. Canned food... eh, some veggies, maybe a stir fry later. Wine? Iteral puts the wine next to the sink, to dump it down later.

"Oh. Okay." Moon looked down at the ground. Now she was the one that was hurt. "What if I told you we weren't enemies? I'm just... a pawn. Nothing more."

It hurt her to admit that, even to herself. She was weak. Everyone could bend the earth, time, minds, death. And Moon was just Moon. A stupid, broken girl, who could never get lost. Even when she wanted to.

Caspian giggled a bit, then went into the kitchen with the biscuits and some water. He decided to have his little snack now. The biscuits were really good. He was just nibbling on them at the table.
