Ōmagatoki: Alice in Elysium (Game 3)
Forum-Index → Roleplay → Ōmagatoki: Alice in Elysium (Game 3)had she always had those glasses on? They looked awfully similar to Artemis'. She muttered to herself, trying to figure out the chances. Suddenly her outfit flickered from a schoolgirl outfit to a trench coat over a black t-shirt and jeans.
"Yeah, 2/5."

"Decent math. I would assume 2/5 as well. Which puts us in dire straits already... Alice is so blood-thirsty. At least the disembodied voice prevented anyone from killing people the first night. But that's also a 40% chance we get it right. I hesitate to vote for Suko for tactical reasons, and I'd potentially be willing to trust you..."
Paiyoon checked her math. If she was Yokai, Emma was Yokai, and Suko was Yokai, that left a 4/7 chance to vote a human. ASSUMING that Emma and Suko weren't lying to her. But Paiyoon knew from experience that she needed to trust someone at some point. Which left seven targets, four of whom were lying.

Paiyoon fixed Emma with a withering glare. "Good choice." She looked down at Suko again, the blush creeping back into her cheeks. "Stop LAUGHING!" She shouted at Emma. But, Paiyoon supposed it probably was pretty funny to see two individuals in a potentially compromising position. At least they knew the truth.
And seriously, she had to stop that blushing... it was really quite annoying. How was she supposed to win cardgames with that terrible of a poker face?

Well, except for her.
She checked the people around her and did some research. The Satori was essential to the Yōkai, it seems. However, who is human... is another mystery.
Paiyoon Ji
"I don't need to be tough," She said indignantly. "I just need to be correct. We need to puzzle out the real humans before it's too late..."
And right now, she was suspicious of Kotone... a real world alliance was stronger than one forged within The Game. But there was a 2/7 chance that Kotone and Tetsuo were both Yokai. Paiyoon hesitated to vote them. Yohan was a suspicious character. His only words had been to rudely interupt her while Suko was... panicking(?). And Go-Reon was trying to escape... signs of human desperation, perhaps?

"I died at age nineteen, if you're wondering. Time passes strangely during The Game... just call me Paiyoon, I don't really care." She shrugged. Emma was *happy* again. Paiyoon wondered if this was normal. Divination therapy had come a long way in the past decade in her world. It could cure many underlying mental disorders, and even purge bad memories.
Emma could likely benefit from at least talking to someone.
Mood swings. Ugh.

She took her hands, slightly hard because of Suko. She smiled brightly, dazzlingly.
"You act so old! I thought you were older than me, to be honest."
She laughed. She seemed very bubbly now.

"I could be older." Paiyoon rolled her eyes. "I already told you, time works differently in this place. And besides, in my culture, goblins are recognized as adults at age thirteen. I've been an 'adult' for twice as long as you, either way."
She looked for deeper meaning in Emma's words... was she trying to tell Paiyoon something, or was her hyperanalytical brain in its usual state of overdrive.

Emma was looking Paiyoon over, humming lightly. She had shifted suddenly from bubbly to analytical. Wait- was her outfit always a lab coat? wasn't it a trench coat a few seconds prior?

How had she- Emma had somehow changed into a trenchcoat? best not to overthink that, they were in Wonderland after all. And speaking of Wonderland, Alice was just... watching? She did not like this new moderator. But Emma's questions. She collected her thoughts, trying to remember her old world.
"Being an adult isn't... hard? Just tiring. Because if you mess up as an adult, they send you to prison for longer." It was hard to tell if Paiyoon was joking with this statement. Goblin physiology, let's see... I'm about a foot shorter. My skin is a medium-dark green, and my hair is black. Our blood is also green, with trace elements of silver and gold, as opposed to copper and iron. Some necromancer found that out through dark phageo-extraction a hundred years ago. The rest of our bone structure is similar; we walk upright, and have all the same major organs. Our fingers are much nimbler than yours, and we have a much better sense of sight. Our smaller size and lighter bone structure make us somewhat weaker than the humans in our world, but we are extremely fast. Our stealth is unrivaled.
"Magic is complicated. It's a natural force that permeates everything in my world, Aeloria. We believe flows through the sky and earth and is harnessed by mages to create spells, enchantments, and other magical effects. The source of magic in Aeloria is not well understood, but it is believed to be connected to the very fabric of the world itself. Some mages theorize that it is a manifestation of the elements - fire, water, earth, and air - while others believe that it is a reflection of the emotions and desires of sentient beings. Basically there's four types: elemental magic, which is pretty self-explanatory; enchantment magic, the enchantment of artifacts, also known as sorcery; Illusory magic, the creation of illusions; and Divination magic, including futuresight, telepathy, mind magic, and divining the past. Necromancy also exists... it's a chaotic power that some mages just end up with. It's not so much forbidden as extremely taboo."

Again, her form flickered, the lab coat changing to a light cardigan. She hummed lightly, back to her bubbly self. Her glasses had disappeared. How was she doing this.
"Magic sounds awesome. i'd love to like kchpow like blow up all the baddies with like fire and lightning. that sounds awesome!"

"There are rules to magic, you know. Overexhaustion can lead to comas and death. Some magics like mind control are illegal due to their immorality. If you destroy something with magic, imprisonment and even death are on the table. The Council delivers harsh punishments. It's not all firebolts and lightning strikes..."
"Besides," she said, gesturing at Emma's outfits. "It seems like you've already acquired some of your own. A magic that The Game deems harmless, nonetheless."

"I think I'm wearing the same clothes, no?"

She just stared at Emma blankly. Was the girl having a go at her? Or was she really just... oblivious?
"Right, no magic," she muttered. "So tell me, what's your world like?"
She looked down at Suko, who still was not responding. "Whenever you're ready to talk, I'm here," she whispered.

Back to teh trench coat. She really was oblivious.
"It's just kind of... normal. No magic, no mythical creatures, nothin'. Just humans. Cities, towns, countries. It's about it."

"I'l make it out of here, you just wait stupid cloak head-(Sorry @JustCath!)" Goreon muttered under her breath
She suddenly just realized she wasn't speaking Korean, she clamped her mouth sighed
Goreon decided that just standing there with her mouth closed looked too stupid
She sat down and pulled out a hairtie
Yes, tying her hair made her feel better.
She then pulled out a paint marker and just doodled on the floor
