"I love you Kendo. Now let the children be." She smiled and motioned to the other three. Aret began to sob, shaking her head.

"I've become a monster... I should be locked away- or killed for what I've done! Legion turned me into a killing machine, I destroyed everything I've worked so hard to let flourish... Everything is gone- the angels, the garden. Everything..."

Iteral offers everyone a (floating) cup of refreshing water while having her attention on Aret. Classic breakdown of reality, she thought. "Saint Deity, you should not feel so guilty about yourself. Please, you were manipulated and I am sure your angels understand. At least... Juno was compliant, though I don't know if she is your angel or Mona's."

Mona blushed slightly and nodded. "And just where did you have in mind?" She hadn't seen the world in so long- she always sure he had a lot to show her.

Aret took the glass and looked in it sadly. "I shouldn't be the ruler of this land... I've done nothing but hurt the people I'm supposed to watch over and guide. I'm pathetic..."

Iteral waits for the Saint Deity to drink a little and then sighs. "You are putting too much blame on yourself, Miss." She said, trying to cheer her up. "You have not just created hurt and suffering. Your actions have reunited a multiversal couple, brought back the former Saint Deity... I think..." Yeah, Iteral was still unsure what exactly Mona was. "... you might have done mistakes but we all do. Remember my little defiant speech in your bedroom? That was embarrassing." She clears her throat a bit, feeling slightly uncomfortable now.

Mona jumped into his arms excitedly. "I can't wait! Oh, we're going to live in the forest and grow all kinds of things, and we can teach our kids everything we know, and we'll tell them stories, and I can finally cook for more than just us-" She paused for a moment, frazzled by all of the new thoughts coming to her. Instead of continuing, she held onto him tightly. "I think it's time for everyone's happy ending."

Aret nodded slightly, looking away and wiping a few tears from her cheeks. She just wanted things to go back to normal. Maybe that's what she could start with- fixing her mess.

Iteral reaches into her pocket and pulls out a handkerchief, holding it over Aret for her to take, if needed. "I know that look. Let me guess. 'I wish this never happened', right?" She seems a little more lax than before. "Well, I am a royal architect now and, with time powers and Mona's Mark of the Stars, I can help you reinstate things. Literally and figuratively." She knocks on the bed, realizing that she, subconsciously, replicated the old bed of the Saint Deity, just in a bigger size.

She looked up at him with her signature stars in her eyes. "The only problem is that children can't come quick enough! I'm so happy to finally be settling down and finding peace..." She sighed deeply, going limp in his hold. She was exhausted from the battle.

Aret sniffled and looked at Iteral for a moment before turning away again. She didn't know what to respond with- should she accept the help? Would they betray her because of what she did? Too many questions ran through her mind, none of which were positive.

"I am sure a lot of doubts and negativity fill your mind. I have been there and it is not pretty... which is why I want to help you."

Mona nodded and turned back to look at everyone else one more time. "Let's go, Kendo. This isn't our story to finish and you know it." She held both of his hands. "Surprise me. Go wherever in the world you'd like to go."

She nodded quietly, turning to Mona and Kendo. She knew they were leaving, but didn't protest. She knew that she could rebuild on her own, with the people she had now. "Everything will have to be rebuilt, and my magical power isn't enough to rebuild an entire nation, but..."

Iteral chuckles a bit and simply rests on the bed frame a little. "I am sure with their help, we will have enough magical power, muscle power and spit to rebuild it. From the ashes of the past, a phoenix shines, brighter than before." She smiles, sounding confident. "... what do you say?"

Kendo laughed quietly, as he brought her hands up, kissing the back of them.

"Yes, ma'am."

and with that, his form- along with hers, flickered out of existence.

The darkness was a little stifling, but the moment Kendo took a step forward, the cavern lit up.

The grass- if you could call it grass- glowed a soft shade of blue, gemstones far above twinkling like stars.

kendo sighed quietly, as he glanced back at Mona.

"Have I ever taken you here?"

He laughed quietly.

"I used to come here all the time with my sister, back when we were just kids."

Mona smiled and looked around. "I've never seen this place before..." She turned back to him. "It's so lovely here...! What is this place?"
