Welcome to the crime-ridden city of Allendale, a city in northern
England. The year is 2043. The city is ruled by the Mafia, "El
Sombra," and the corrupt, dirty police have all been bought out
by said mafia. Well, most of them, of course. Some detectives
haven't been corrupted, yet are helpless to do anything against the
other members of the police. During all of this, a masked madman
has been going on a murder spree, killing important people, and
leaving behind nothing but a playing card and their dead bodies.
This man has come to become known as "The Bishop of
Death."
One dark, stormy night, a particular detective is called in to
investigate the murder of a man, seemingly just a normal person.
when they arrive they find that the killer is still near the scene
of the crime.
Ugh. Theo couldn't believe that he had to do an investigation
today. It was his favorite weather, the perfect weather to sit by
an open window, letting the soft breeze hit your face as you read a
book....not the perfect weather for doing work. Especially
detective work, for that matter, as the rain could affect the
evidence. But he couldn't get lost in daydreams of books, as he had
work to do, and it had to get done now.
Sighing, Theo looked for evidence, taking as many pictures as he
could. ughh I woke up an hour and a half ago so sucky posts
I swear, I'm really
trying
It just don't come natural to me to think that you'd want me for
me
I swear, I'm really trying
Oh, I'm sorry, I promise, I'm doing my best
I just haven't learned how to be human as you are
yet
Just out of sight of Theo, a shadow darted out of the room, out the
window. The window creaked open, and a blast of chilly English air
came into the room. This figure's shadow was barely visible through
the corner of Theo's line of sight.
At first, Theo could barely see the shadow and thought it was a
trick of the lightning. One of the many illusions that stormy
nights cast. But when he heard the window creak and felt the cold
air, he knew something was up. While it could've just been a
coincidence that the window was barely open before and the air
could've given the nudge it needed, he had a suspicion that wasn't
the case.
Theo hesitantly approached the window, shivering a little bit.
I swear, I'm really
trying
It just don't come natural to me to think that you'd want me for
me

Outside, a figure, clad in black, with sharp, cold, blue eyes,
looked straight at the aspiring detective, clinging to the building
opposite to Theo's. He seemed to laugh.
Theo seemed unimpressed, a little angry even. Perhaps I've found
the murderer. If he is, then that's a lot of wasted potential on
someone so... He didn't finish his thought as he eyed the
stranger.
Crossing his arms and narrowing his eyes, he called back. "And who
exactly are you?"
I swear, I'm really

me

"Ah, yes. Something about a playing card and 'leaving no
evidence'." Theo said, almost laughing. "Honestly, news papers
exaggerate too much. There's no such thing as 'leaving no
evidence', as everything and anything could be considered evidence.
But enough rambling. Why do you stay there, not fleeing?"
I swear, I'm really

"I enjoy watching people struggle. 's quite amusing ta' watch as
ya' cop fellows attempt ta' figure out who killed all these...
worthless heaps o' trash."
The man was still hanging off the building, grabbing onto a
windowsill with one hand, even through all this rain. The mask
covered only his mouth and nose, and he let his long, golden hair
loose, allowing it to sway in the wind.
"Hmm. Noted. So I'm the first to actually spot you? Maybe don't be
so reckless with the creaky windows next time." Theo said, leaning
on the windowsill. "Unless, and may I propose this insane
theory...you wanted to be seen?"
I swear, I'm really

"Heh, thanks. And, yeah, moved here a few weeks ago." Theo
responded, slightly confused. Is this guy lonely, or does he
actually want to talk to me? ...his face-

"Now you must be wondering: 'Oh! Why is this devilishly handsome
man taking time out of his *busy* schedule just ta' talk to lil'
'ol me?' Well, that's because You're not corrupt, yet. Unlike
everyone else, 'Da mafia didn' get t' 'ya yet!"
"Wouldn't be my exact words, but close." Theo whispered. I agree
with the handsome part though...But! That's besides the point!
"...Your point being..? I already know about the 'corrupt' stuff."

Theo watched him leave, and stood there for a few moments,
contemplating. Goode and Draken's Law Firm at
midnight...hm... He looked around for a moment, then shrugged.
Eh, why not? There's nothing else interesting anyway. And about
this case...I'll just tell them what everyone else tells them.
He grabbed all of his stuff before leaving.

Midnight is in...five hours. ...One of the most famous criminals
and of course I'm the one who spots him. This better be worth my
time and not be a trap. Theo was walking home, carrying all of
his stuff. ...Atleast it makes my job easier to file the
paperwork...and then I can spend the next few hours reading.

In a alley somewhere, the man pulled off his black clothing,
revealing the clothing underneath. He carefully tied his hair up
into a ponytail and put on a pair of glasses, before pulling up the
hood of his jacket. He slung a backpack over his shoulder and made
his way to a nearby cafe.
I just need to file the case paperwork. And then I can finish
reading my book. ...I've atleast gotta thank him for making my job
easier. He was just thinking to himself while he walked,
because he didn't have anyone to talk to anymore.
