Would I have a better chance of getting Festival Ralts eggs by breeding the event Pokémon with a regular Ralts or Ditto?

Ralts. Faster than ditto of getting eggs but won't make your luck of getting an event higher

Okay, I’ll switch to Ralts then.

Edit: I got two eggs from the Ditto pairing and both were Ralts, and I’ve now gotten an egg from the Ralts pairing that’s also Ralts. I was hoping the first Ralts attempt would work, because I put a Mr. Bagon with Ditto before going to sleep last night, and woke up to two event eggs—one Van Bagon and one Mr. Bagon, in that order—and no regular Bagon.

Edit 2: The second egg I got from the Ralts pairing is also Ralts. I don’t think this is working better than Ditto.

Van Bagon and Mr. Bagon are not really comparable to other breeding pairs.
They give event eggs a lot easier than any other event breeding pair (even when comparing to a perfect event breeding pair).

Normal event breeding takes a long time and non-event with event is a better choice than event with Ditto, because you'll be getting more eggs in general, thus more event eggs as well with non-event with event pairing.

When I said that I don’t think it’s working better than Ditto, I was referring to the fact that I’m not getting more eggs, either.

Seven years ago I asked the same question to Riako.

He said the chance of getting event eggs from ditto and two event pairs were the same.

Don't know if anything has changed in the last seven years or not but I agree with CatLady that event pairs produce more eggs so there is a greater chance of getting event pokemon.

There will always be bad and good daycare days. Non-even/event pairing will give you more eggs than ditto/event pairing when comparing bad daycare days for both (or good daycare days for both).

A good daycare day with ditto/event will probably give you more eggs than a bad daycare day with non-event/event.

[Though I find it weird that you can already deduce the pair is giving you less eggs, when it's been in the DayCare for about 9 hours.]

The pair still hasn’t given me another egg. And I don’t know why you’d think it weird that I could tell that the Ralts pair is taking longer to produce eggs. Ditto was producing them much more quickly, and that was already obvious yesterday, and of course much more obvious today.
