Forum-Index → Help → Guides → Safari Zone Guide [Complete]As per request and to help other Safari Zone shiny hunters, here is a little guide on which Pokémon show up more frequently during certain times, as well as some handy tricks. This is not to say that these Pokémon will only show up during these times, they are simply more frequent.

After you've caught 5 same Pokémon (and pattern for vivillon!) it will show you your chain beneath the Pokémon you've caught
Max Shiny chance is reached at chain 40, and is the same for premium and non-premium members, at a 1:80 (1.25%) without shiny charm, and 1.1:80 (1.375%) with shiny charm
The average chain for a shiny is around 85~90, but can take longer
Some Pokémon are harder to find than others - uncommon Pokémon are marked by a "*" and rare Pokémon are marked by a "~"
If your Pokémon shows up, depending on the rarity of the Pokémon, you may catch quite a few, or maybe one or none at all.
Common ~ About 3-7 per round, give or take
Uncommon ~ About 1-4 per round, give or take
Rare ~ About 0-2, 3+ for rotom
Please note, these are averages. Safari Zone varies slightly by person and time of day
A guaranteed shiny will show up with the shiny sprite. If you miss it, don't worry, it will be back!

Slower-moving Pokémon tend to be of a lower level (<30) and vice versa
Just because a Pokémon is nested under one section, it doesn't mean that they can't be frequent in another time of day. Some rounds you will get a ton of a Pokémon that would usually not appear as much during that time
When hunting the Weather Trio, the legendary rarely shows up. If it does, it will appear multiple times in a game, but once you catch one, it won't show up anymore.
Rotom rarely shows up - but when it does, it's similar to the Weather Trio; it appears multiple times until you catch it.
After hunting a Vivillon pattern, it tends to show up more frequently, during all times of the day
Pokémon that you failed to catch usually appears again, and will appear again until you have caught them or the timer ran out.
You can reload the page to make a Pokémon you missed appear again sooner, or to refresh the chances of the Pokémon's speed.

Rotom rarely shows up - but when it does,
you can count on at least 3 of them to appear during the game
Im currently hunting rotom in the safari. But whenver they pops out, they only appear as one during the game. They will pop out again if u failed to catch it, but when u do catch it, they will no longer appear again.
