Meanwhile, while one part of the group had gone, Rūkasu was told to stay with the others. He was pacing back and forth. He was worried about Matsu. He really hoped that she was doing okay. If anything hurt her he would kill it. Or something. He continued pacing and worrying about his mom.

"A sign of care. That I live to tell the tale." Iteral makes a fake gesture of drama, fainting on her seat. Then, she takes revenge on Matsunaga.

"By the way." She points at Matsunaga's lap, a clock of the time witch now, a second before midnight. It ticked, then rang it's typical alarm sound. "Surprise, time's up."

He sighed, leaning back in his chair. He didn’t care for what was happening, they could kill eachother if they wanted, not his problem

Matsunaga didn't move, didn't even bother to look at the clock as it rang. She tilted her head and smiled brightly, almost threateningly at Iteral. Mercy sat quiet next to Makoto, looking down at him every so often to make sure he was alright, but otherwise leaving him to his space.

Iteral did not seem bothered by the "threatening" gaze. "Well, glad to see you are getting adjusted. Oh yeah, it's a bomb. Tick." As she said the onomatopoeia, the clock went backwards all of a sudden. "Thank you for accepting my offer."

Matsunaga continued to stare, almost empty, at Iteral. She then turned another direction, calling out her son's name. "Rūkasu, dear, come here for a minute." Mercy shook her head.

Iteral makes a small move with her hand, as predicted: The clock just bursts open, disassembling itself in Matsu's lap. "Tock." She giggles, then looking over at Mercy. "No need for that look, you pour out my juice, you get the hand."

Once it burst open, Matsunaga shrieked and stood up, backing away. Mercy stood up and went to her to comfort her, staring down at the clock. "Iteral, what was that for?!"

"Hey, she taunts poor Makoto by slicing his hat apart. I thought giving her a little taste of her own medicine would be fair." Iteral just acts eeriely calm, smiling. "Don't work yourself up like that, it's not like anything I do has any meaning anyway. Besides, that is just a normal clock I stuffed with springs. If it was a shadow clock, you'd be... well, either five or fifty. Somewhere between those."

"... fine, fine, I get your point. Don't frighten the sick girl who wants to die and hates me. Yeah, got the concept. Let me apologize." She sighs and stands up, following behind.

Rūkasu had been outside when he saw Matsunaga all shaken up coming out from the house. He rushed over to her and hugged her. "What happened?" he asked her. He put his arm under Matsunaga for support and started leading her to a nice flat area in the grass to rest.

Matsunaga hugged Rūkasu, pointing at Iteral. 'That damned witch and her stupid contraptions again! She was trying to scare me on purpose!' She sounded much more elegant in her home tongue, despite her whining.

"Iteral, don't even bother. You can't do something like that and then apologize right away like it was an accident." Mercy advised, sitting back down and making sure Caspian was still sleeping.

Iteral sighs, rolling her eyes. "Want me to go back in time and prevent myself from doing that then?" She points out, though then thinks. "Or go forward to see how things develop?" She looks through the window at Matsunaga, looking kind of upset. "... or maybe I should scare myself in return? Well, you threw away my flask... pretty sure the hallucinations should return in about ten minutes. Give it thirty and she can see them."
