Mercy held her head, pushing into her temple. Another oncoming headache. She looked away and stared at the photos on the wall blankly. "Iteral, would you please stop talking about her so badly? She has problems of her own, she really doesn't want to make you top of the list."

"I have fond memories of her and such, but when someone literally says "I prefer death over what you do to me", it kind of leaves a bad taste in your mouth, you know? And she doesn't even explain it! I just want my family to live damnit!" She shouts, then sitting down next to Mercy with a similar gesture of headaches. "... sorry..."

Mercy moved away slightly, petting Caspian's back. "She's definitely going to have you killed now, so much for making sure your family lives. Let me remind you she survived the biggest threat in her world, I don't think we're much of a challenge for her."

Iteral glares and then shakes her head, tapping her bag. "Don't worry. I have enough second chances that I could not die even if I wanted. I tried. But I don't want to fight her, I want her to live." She looks over at Matsunaga, then back to Mercy. "... let me guess. You're afraid of me again, hm?"

She was pretty much talking to the table, face smushed against it. "... I try to cook for you, you deny it. I want to help Matsunaga not perish, she flatout refuses. It is like I am less of a part of this family and more just... a statistic. Only there to pretend like you got more." Her voice changed from angry to pessimistic. "I thought, with how much those two argue... a small joke of mine would help. Didn't expect her to frighten..."

He finished making his tea, choosing to go to a more secluded area of the room, rather than right in the middle of it. He sipped his tea, peacefully. It was bitter, as he liked it

Rūkasu had heard some if the conversation from outside and told Matsunaga he would be back quickly. He entered the house again and went into the room with Iteral and the others. “Matsunaga will be better eventually. She just needs some time to think.” he said nothing more, just looking around the room between Iteral, Mercy, and Makoto.

Iteral lifts one hand, about to make a time pun but her other hand pressed it down on the table, preventing it. "... I'm... fighting the temptation just skipping ahead. Look, can you... tell her I'm sorry. I'm certain if I do it, she will probably perish. From a heart attack or overexhaustion."

Rūkasu nods his head. “Yeah, I’ll tell her.” He stays sitting down for a bit, then gets up and slowly starts walking out the door and back to Matsunaga. He sits down by her. “Iteral wants you to know that she apologizes.” He starts rubbing Matsu’s back to keep her calm.

Mercy flipped over another page of her book. She felt drained. Literally. "You're not a statistic, Iteral. You just think differently than most of us- which is completely fine, I assure you, it's just that you need to learn when far is too far, that's all. The moment will pass, and everyone will be fine again. It's how it always was, whether it was us two, or Matsunaga and Makoto, or anyone else." She breathed in and out deeply. "And us refusing your help isn't us trying to make you feel worthless. We all have our own way about things, and trying to help may seem like forcing something upon someone."

Makoto listened in to the conversation. Relationships. Who needed them? Just listening to this made him feel like his ears would break from all this noise. Ugh.

Iteral sighs again, dropping her head on Mercy's shoulder. "I know... but I just want to support you as well. And, well, if you deny a soup I made... I don't know what exactly I can do." A strange feeling came up in Iteral... a second one. Not only did she feel a weird kind of sad for what she's done but... there was a draining feeling in her too. Or at least... a feeling of warmth going from her right hand over to Mercy, as if she's fueling her.

"Instead of helping me, help yourself first." She let Iteral do whatever, watching Makoto from where she sat. She dearly wished to be back on his 'good side' again, but was worried if that would ever happen.

Rūkasu continued rubbing Matsunaga’s back to try and make her feel better. He kept telling her to breathe in and out and that everything would be okay.

Caleb was in a corner different from Scara, just chilling there. He wasn’t looking up from a book he had. He seemed gloomier now that Hana had gone back.

Mercy hummed, keeping her quiet and nodding to Makoto. "Say, do you have any more of that tea? I've grown quite fond of the taste." She smiled softly at him.

Matsunaga began to calm down, if only slightly, and looked at Rūkasu. 'She's dead to me...'
