Mercy smiled and held him, walking back to the table to sit. She didn't touch her food, but made sure everyone else ate instead, kicking Matsunaga's leg since she was acting childish and crossing her arms.

Iteral sighs and takes a spoonful of her own bowl, holding it to Mercy. "I know you don't really have a... purpose for food and I know you care about us." It was like she was thinking of her own this time around. "But at least try this time around... I didn't do anything bad, I swear." She lifts her other hand, showing that she didn't cross her fingers.

He squinted at the paper, vaguely confused. He couldn’t read this language very well, but he tried at least. The response she got was short, and albeit poorly written.

Iteral... was confused. With one hand, she slid back the exact same note but with arrows and question marks around the word "unagi".

Her stare did not get any better, but this time she had an easier time keeping her cool. "... I am trying. Succeeding is a different thing entirely. Just... please. I'm sure it will help me too, if you for once accept my help." Her hand started shaking, she's been holding up the spoon the entire time.

Iteral just sighs, her arm finally giving up and just dropping on the table all limp. She just... retreats, her arm sliding off the table while she went on grumbling. "... great. One out of four." She looks away, not even eating her own soup. Instead, Iteral just chugged on a flask.

She simply laughed at his response, shaking her head and looking around the table. Matsunaga gladly took her bowl and began to eat that as well, noticing how Mercy's aura shifted once she saw the flask. "Iteral, what's in that?"

"So now you care about what I do, hm?" Iteral muttered, unscrewing the lid and handing it over to Mercy to let her smell it. It smelled bitter but had a trace of almonds in them. "Nothing to be concerned about. It's just... some innocent almond milk... or water... I dunno, I diluted it."

Yumine opened a window, leaning on the sill with a sigh. Reaching into his pocket, he took out a little box along with a lighter. He pressed the button a few times and huffed at the flame didn't pop up. The fire whooshed to life on the fifth try, wobbling in the breeze from the window. A small smile appeared on his mouth and he put the lighter back.

Mercy took it, and after the first smell, scrunched her face up. She tossed it to Matsunaga, who, in turn, stood up and walked to the window Yumine was by. She dumped the contents of the flask and smiled, tossing it and shutting the window. "I do hope you're... not planning to smoke... around a dying woman." She teased Yumine.
