"Yeah, actually..." Matsunaga tested, doing the same thing she did before, except her sword went right through it, making a cut. She smiled mockingly, glaring at him.

"Makoto, don't... It's okay, really. I can fix it." Mercy stood up and stayed behind him, trying to get him to drop it. "She's always been like this with you."

"We need to get back to the palace." Her priority was Rhuna, but she also wanted to change. She felt disgusting and dirty- no wonder she was always so reluctant to leave the castle now that she was able to.

“…” He glared at her, summoning a vortex in his hand “I’m not someone you can just walk over.” He ignored Mercy. He’s never met them before. He didn’t know why they would insist on knowing him, when they clearly don’t. He has all his memories, they are not apart of them. “I’m not ‘dropping’ it.”

"I said stop it already!" Iteral shouts from the kitchen. "One more time and I will make sure you all get your personal me to pester you for the rest of your lives!" She growls, putting down a few bowls to serve the food. The smell came up, a strong herbal scent.

Matsunaga stopped, turning to glare at Iteral. Then, she broke out in a laugh, holding her stomach and neck. She eventually straightened up and nudged Makoto. "She thinks... she can really... change us. Can you believe... that?"

"The only reason I want you two to make up, aside from maybe tugging on Mona's heartstrings, is because I am of the firm belief that there should be no arguments when you eat. So if you two could pretend to bear each other for this long, I can work with that." She sighs, finally coming with a tray of bowls. "... my mind is already as fragile as is, do me this one favor at least."

Caspian had woken up a bit earlier and gone off by himself into another room. The noise was too loud for him. He just sat down and rubbed his face and started crying quietly to himself. He made himself small and turned invisible as he sobbed.

Mercy broke away from the three to follow Caspian, noticing his presence despite his invisibility and kneeling in front of him (though she gave him space). "Caspian, dear? What's the matter?"

"Your mind? Fragile?" She scoffed and laughed again, sheathing her sword. "God... I can't stand... you."

"Aha..." Iteral sighs, placing down the bowls of food onto the table in front. It was cooked rice, poured over with green tea she found and some vegetables sliced and cut into fine cubes. She had a hard time holding back a counter, breathing deeply. Voices told her to finish Matsunaga off. Her own personality told her to retort with a snappy line. But a tiny voice of conscience helped her:

"... could you elaborate on that while I get the drinks? Also, I hope you don't mind the little spin Makoto... I learned this recipe from overseas."

Caspian looked up at Mercy and tried to stop crying as tears came from the invisible snakelike child. “It’ssssss j-jussssst, I don’t like sssssssstuff th-that h-h-happened r-reccccccently. A-and misssssss Aria isssssss sssssscary.” He stayed curled up in the corner, now having faced Mercy a bit.

Matsunaga huffed, but smirked at Makoto's sarcasm. "Special... just for you..." She stuck her tongue out and sat at the table. Mercy wrapped her arms around Caspian and stood up, encompassing him in her warmth.

Iteral rolls her eyes, muttering something under her breath. The only word understandable was "clockwork". Though then, she puts down a bowl and appropriate cutlery in front of everyone. "In light of... events... I thought I'd make something my adoptive father used to bring from overseas. They call it... ochazuke or something." She shrugs, smiling at everyone. "Enjoy." The smile was very unnatural... but she did her best to make it genuine.

Caspian sniffed a bit, wiping the tears from his face and eventually calming down and sleeping again. He seemed to be really tired as of late for some reason. He slept dreamless again, as Mercy’s warmth kept away the bad dreams.
