I just went to the lab after mega evolving the Charizard X from the Pokémon he gave me, and I’m being given two options of what to say to him when he’s talking about it, and I’m thinking that I might get something different depending on which response I choose. So should I say “I’m happy to help!” Or “Yeah, and now give me some Nuggets” if I want to get whatever I can out of this?

Pretty sure he wont change what he's saying. You'll get the same dialouge in the end whichever option you choose

Like Hoopa. Whichever response you do youd still get the egg

Oh, I didn’t know that about Hoopa. I always go with “Quack” (I think that’s what it is) because that’s the last word of the thing Rowan says with Hoopa. I thought you might not get the Hoopa egg if you said either of the other options.

So you’re not supposed to get any reward from Rowan for mega evolving the Pokémon he gave you? No nuggets or anything? I already went with the “I’m happy to help!” response because no one had responded a whole day after I asked this question, and I didn’t get anything from Rowan and was worried I might have missed out on a reward because I didn’t go with the option that was asking him for nuggets.

The dialogue choices only affect the dialogue, not the reward given for doing something. If "I'm happy to help" didn't give you a reward, "Give me nuggets" wouldn't have either.

IF the choice affects the result [like the Raylong quest] and you pick wrong, you'll get the same question a little while later to try and get it right, until you get it right.

Okay. Thanks for letting me know I didn’t miss out on anything from this. I was afraid it would be like how I missed out on Zekrom because I picked the wrong answer in the ancient cave—you don’t get another chance there.
