The Cutest Pokémon?

I just decided to spend some of my time scrolling through the Pokédex on pokemon.com, picking out all of the Pokémon that meet a very high standard of cuteness. Of course, everyone has very different ideas of what’s cute and what isn’t, but I thought I’d like to go ahead and share the list I put together of all of the Pokémon cute enough to make me feel good:

Vulpix, Dratini, Misdreavus, Heracross, Teddiursa, Corsola, Phanpy, Plusle, Minun, Castform, Spheal, Piplup, Starly, Shinx, Pachirisu, Drifloon, Buneary, Glameow, Chatot, Finneon, Azelf, Shaymin, Lillipup, Blitzle, Cottonee, Petilil, Sandile, Zorua, Minccino, Ducklett, Vanillite, Deerling, Emolga, Mienshao, Golett, Deino, Meloetta, Fennekin, Froakie, Fletchling, Vivillon, Flabébé, Skiddo, Pancham, Espurr, Amaura, Pumpkaboo, Bergmite, Popplio, Pikipek, Oricorio, Ribombee, Rockruff, Stufful, Comfey, Sandygast, Minior, Komala, Togedemaru, Jangmo-o, Cosmog, Marshadow, Wooloo, Sinistea, Polteageist, Hatenna, Kubfu, and Spectrier :)

Maybe some of these choices—the ones I chose or the ones I left out—seem weird, but this just felt right to me. Interestingly, I did the math and found that Ghost types are actually the cutest type, because 16% of all Ghost-type Pokémon are in my list, and the cutest gen turned out to be my favorite gen, Gen 7, because 18% of all the Gen 7 Pokémon are in my list. Also, I found that Gen 1 is the least cute gen, because only 1.3% of all of the Gen 1 Pokémon are in my list, and Poison is the least cute type, because it’s the only type that didn’t even get one of its Pokémon in my list.

Personally, I considered Stufful to be the cutest pokemon mainly because any bear-shaped pokemon is just cute to me.

I’m not saying that I don’t think Turtwig’s cute, it just didn’t meet the *very high* standard of cuteness that I had as a requirement for this list.

I feel like there are at least two levels of cute: The first level is the one where you look at something and just go “Oh, that’s cute!” And the second level is where you get such a warm and fuzzy feeling in your chest from looking at it that the word “cute” doesn’t even immediately occur to you, you’re just going “AAAWWWWW!”

I normally think of Furret cause Furret walk meme is cute and Rowlet. Personally Rowlet is the cute chosen one.

Honestly, I find Kartana pretty cute, not necessarily because of its design but because it's literally only a foot tall while still having that insane attack stat. It's hilarious.

In terms of more proper cuteness, Jumpluff's pretty high up there.
