Why does the Mermaid always think everyone is called “hihi”? This is something she has said:

Hihi, hi!
I'm Leah, nice to meet you, hihi! ... You are wondering why I'm swimming in this ocean all day? I'm a mermaid, obviously, hihi!
But anyway, you look like someone who is interested in fishing, am I right? Hihi, well I am looking for someone like you! I'm searching for different types of Fish Pokémon and I could use some help with that. ... Most fish are scared of mermaids and are too fast for me. Is it true that it thinks everone is called hihi or just that she likes to say hihi?

Why would you even say this- Is this a complaint?
She quite obviously had the phrase "hihi" put in as a habit.
