It's been a while since the newest pokemon game, Legends Arceus, has been released. It has amazing concepts; being able to run around in the battle, being able to throw a ball outside of battle, etc. One of my favorites has been the Alpha concept.
So, for those who don't know what Alpha means, it is basically an enhanced pokemon with red eyes and is bigger than the rest. The stats are way higher than the regular pokemon and it's at least x4 the size of its regular counterpart. And Shiny Alphas do exist. The catch rates are lower too.
So my idea is that alphas can start showing up on the honey tree. (More specifically around, not on, or else they break it) and you can catch them. 'The catch rates are lower too' we can somehow incorporate this into the pokemon.

(Edited bit: Also maybe acquiring them from fishing and a tiny rate from the lab? That seems like a good idea, I had just talked about the honey tree to start the idea.)

I would like to hear your ideas on this suggestion, what can be improved and flaws in the idea. (I hope it won't be too hard to code it in, but what do I know lol) and thanks for listening to me talk your ear off.

I love the idea! The only problem is, not all Pokemon have an Alpha form, and if you added Alphas to the tree, there should probably be some other way to get Alphas, since there are so few Pokemon that appear at the tree. If this is implemented, I think there should be a small chance of getting an Alpha from the beach too, and maybe even a random chance of getting one from the lab, similar to how you can get a random shiny from the lab. That's just my input ^^'

It would be a nice idea, though, just like @~Torracat~, there should be different ways to obtain it.
Though, there would need to be larger sprites, along with sprites with red eyes.
Some users may also mistake them for shadows.
Another thing is, the larger bigger sprites may go out of the sprite box limit, such as with SM Cursed rapidash.
Finally, if there are shiny versions, it means lots of players will have to get an Alpha Shiny as well, which may be extremely hard, especially if it has to be obtained from one of the sources. Such as trying to fish a Shiny Mega Magikarp...
This may cause large amounts of unhappiness from players.

That is a good add-on to the original idea. I had just started with the idea of the honey tree because it was what I use regularly and because it was to start the idea.

Yes, the sprites will probably go out of the sprite box limit. I was just considering making it so they have red eyes and would still be classified as an Alpha. I had also tried to implement the idea of breeding them (even though that's not in PLA) in the original idea i had for this suggestion but I had scrapped the original idea and forgot to add it back in the breeding.

I was considering making my own sprites for these but I have no idea how to make sprites, so-

Making them breedable would be a great idea, though there should be some kind of requirement to breed them.
Additionally, if we do add breeding to the list, we need to ensure it isn't too easy to get them, and too hard.
Finally, if we just add red eyes, players may mistake them for normal versions, so there would still need to be some kind of sprite change. It would be a HUGE task to add every alpha sprites + their shiny sprites...

Quick Question, would Alpha's be regarded as a FORM or an entirely new pokemon-?

Form probably. Also yeah, like a smaller breeding chance + lower 'perfect match' rates. I don't know much really to change to the sprites because in PLA the only thing that changes are the eyes and the size.

I'm a little eh on this. Okay, so, we add Alphas to the honey tree or whatever else, cool....so what exactly do the alphas add? What would be the purpose of adding a new pokemon type to the game(I assume you mean to make them akin to shinies/mega-able/shadow)? Would they add new features somehow? Like higher stats? If that were the case, why would that be worth coding in? Most players don't really utilize the battle feature, so it would be almost completely pointless, especially if all we're doing is enlarging the sprites and giving them redder eyes. I suppose you could do what the shadows did and use different generations' sprites for the alphas, but then still, what exactly would you add to make these worth while?
