Great, Suko thought grumpily. I get dragged away from Femi-protection, and for what? To watch these two make out?

They stifled a sigh, attempting to smile at Koda. "Aww, you two are so cute! So aliiiiive. It makes Suko happy to see!" They clapped their handa together gleefully. SCARE 'EM OFF "Really, really, the PDA is absolutely adorable. Keep it up! All the more blackmail!"

They reached to poke Kowai's cheek- and then hesitated. Their hand trembled mid-air. They yanked it baxk before anyone could notice.

What was that?

Hisoka Yamanaku

Hm. This girl seemed unstable, but sensible enough. There was a keen glint in her eyes- the one of a liar. But not the kind he worried about, the ones with the dull eyes.

Hisoka sub-conciously touched his face. They'd been so close in the closet. For a moment, he thought he'd had a glimpse of eyes the colour of...

He shook off the insidious thought. He was just like his child self sometimes, going off on these ramblings. Pathetic, really.

Kowai stopped, and tilted her head and glanced over at Suko with a curious expression. "Blackmail?" she asked in a dangerously quiet voice. "Why would you want to do a thing like that?"

What were they doing? Kowai felt herself growing suspicious. Suko looked claustrophobic. So that was the game, then? They were trying to get rid of her.

"Sukooo- do you think this is funny? Like, really funny? So much so it makes you bawl your eyes out?" she asked in an off tone of voice. She shook her head. "Oh, never mind. I just wanted to show this room to you both! I thought you'd like it! But..."

"I guess not..."

Koda immediately blushed at the kiss. "DHhshsh. Yeah, it- its good."

Koda turned to Suko. "Why?- I mean, like, why would you want blackmail?" Koda blinked, then turned to Kowai. "I said I liked it." She whined, poking Kowai rather forcefully in the arm. "Deaf?" Koda inquired.

Suko stuck out their tongue. Their chest was full of... carbonation? Again? What a weird description. "I want blackmail so I can assert my dominance over you at any time~!" they tried to say, but with their tongue out, it sounded more like "MMMMMMHPPPPPPPPHHHH!"

Once upon a time they'd have been capable of that.

Panic suddenly seizing them, they blurted out, "So uh, how'd you guys discover your talents and stuff? Like, Ultimate Talents?"

"D'you think it's possible that someone could have- let's say, the wrong talent-? Like....if they were super good at...painting- but they were told they were something else?"

She paused.

"The wrong talent," he echoed. That was... interesting. Probably something personal to her too. Feeling somewhat guilty, he softened his tone. "I suppose it's possible. Mix ups can happen. There's a great deal of screening- but there's always the possibility that something better translates to something else. Possibilities- yes, possibilities are endless."

"Oh, it was something I always enjoyed doing! And I did it a lot and eventually got good at it," Kowai responded vaguely. "How did you discover your talent, Suko Nobu?" she asked, eyeing them.

She smiled at Koda. "Awww, Koda-wodaaa, I know you liked it! And I'm happy to hear it!" She hugged her tightly. "Could you tell me how you got your talent? Pretty pleease?"
