She lightly pressed the wet cloth to his skin, soaking up all the spare blood the best she could. It was all over his skin, all over his shirt... The cuts were pretty big and deep too...
Oh god this was gonna be a pain in the ass. She was used to stitching herself up, the pain didn't bother her, but doing this to someone else?
She could be reckless to her own body, make a mistake here and there, she'd be fine, but...
Would Idris, who seemed to recoil at any touch in the slightest?
Just... Get this over with. The quicker she could get done with this, the less angry she could get. Speaking of angry...
"How the hell do you just forget?! You're literally bleeding out right now!" Her voice got a little louder, and her eyes moved from the cuts to his face, her annoyance and shock plastered all over it.
She continued to mutter curses and other things as she finished cleaning most of the thicker blood off his skin, holding the cloth on the bigger wounds that still glowed a fresh blood red. First she needed to stop the bleeding, which seemed to be working so far. The blood had soaked the cloth by this point, so she grabbed another damp towel and placed it on top.
"See what..." She joked, but her tone didn't really make it obvious. She was much too focused on whatever the hell she was doing to watch her tone.
Almost instantly after the blood slowed down, not really soaking much of the initial cloth anymore, she grabbed a bottle of ointment in one fluid motion from the box, not even looking down to make sure it was still there.
Most first-aid kits were laid out the same way, at least, the bigger ones like the one she had now were. It was just muscle memory at this point, just like the steps she took to treat bigger cuts such as these.
She opened the bottle and put some ointment on her fingers, then started spreading it around the smaller cuts. She only lightly touched the outer, slightly red and swollen skin on the bigger cuts.
After a few moments, she dressed the cuts with gauze and bandages, making sure it stuck to his skin before backing away and putting everything back in the box.
"Stitches might be needed, just..." She groaned, really not in the mood to be doing or saying any of this right now. "Just don't move, 'k? Don't wanna mess up my 'handiwork', do ya?"

Akari sighed as he watched them leave, then looked back to the ingredients on the table. Guess it's time to make something for once in his life...
Last time we was able to make some food himself was... A year ago now? Since then he pretty much ate the same thing every day... Being at this damn school also gave him actual food for once in his life, which admittedly, kind of hurt his stomach. He wasn't used to eating this much, honestly.
He started by splitting open the avocados, stabbing the pit and taking it out with ease.
Every. Single. Time.
Akari was a god amongst men, those pesky avocado pits were nothing to him.
He mushed up the bright green stuff in the fruit, then chopped up some tomatoes, added some onions, garlic, salt, lime, all the good stuff. He even added some herbs and spices he recognized the name of, hoping they were the ones in the recipe.
Idk he made guac, I'm too lazy to go into detail. Use your imagination and pretend this is a cooking anime or something idk.
He put the finished product into a chip & dip plate, put some chips on there, then walked out of the kitchen, seeing Darcy and Saywer already eating their soup.
"Sorry..." He felt the need to apologize for taking literally the shortest amount of time possible to make something. "I uh... I made some extra food, I..."
He stopped, swallowing nervously before speaking again.
I hope you enjoy...
His mouth went dry again before he said that, so he just decided to say nothing else.
He sat the plate down and sat down, not grabbing his soup bowl while doing so. He only sat there in silence, doing nothing.
Kubo Atsushi
Kubo closed his eyes. Did he hear a breeze coming through the corridor? Was a window open at the end of it- and perched on the sill, his mother sat, smiling, her hand oustretched to him? Was freedom and real light just a minute away?
"So you," he said quietly. "Are the ferrier of the damned. You take those who are doomed, and you guide them along their journey."
He opened his eyes and gave Lucian a smile that had since lost all meaning. "You are not Charon, Lucian. You are the Grim Reaper." His shoulders were shaking. He realized with an unnerving lack of alarm that he was laughing. "I'm a detective- I know what a killer looks like. I've been up and personal with them before. You sing pretty words, beat your wings against the cage of death, but in reality, you are everything you despise- and nothing."
He looked down at Lucian. "You," he told him again. "Are nothing."
The wind went silent, and his thoughts began humming again.
"So much melodrama about our talents. I really should get over myself, huh." Kubo shook his head. "Well, do you want to see about lunch, therapist?" He offered him a hand and a snarky grin. "I won't pay."
In-Laws Visit
"MY BABY NOOOIO!" Before Mei and Idris could react, Monokuma had seized Idris' hand and was rubbing it against his bear face. "HOW COULD YOU?" he wailed. "YOU DARE STRIP HIM IN THE HOUSE OF HIS FATHER!"
He pointed at Mei.
"SEDUCER! SON OF A COCKROACH AND A BEAR MECHA! HOW DARE YOU STEAL MY SON'S INNOCENCE!"

Lucian Arbred's POV
But I feel like you don't need me
When I feel like you don't need me
Then I feel like you don't see me
And my life has no meaning, drain me
Hands out, tryna ask for love
But when I get it, I just pass it up
Throw it away and think about it later
Diggin' through the trash for drugs
Wish I could give you what you needed, but I can't
I'm scared because
I don't see you like I should
You look so misunderstood
And I wish I could help
But it's hard when I hate myself"
Lucian stared blankly at Kubo, feeling the words stabbing him through the chest. Once, twice, three times. They echoed in his head.
The Grim Reaper. A killer... Everything he despised...
...nothing.
He pulled his scarf back on, frantic to hide those scars, and what they made him remember. The shouting, the cutting, the threatening, struggling to escape, struggling to breathe-
"...I may be nothing," Lucian choked out hollowly, no longer able to control the tears that rolled down his face. "...but I'm not a killer. I'm not, and I never will be a killer. If I ever become close to becoming that... Then kill me, Kubo. Tear me to pieces, until there's nothing left. Because I'm not going to hurt anyone. ...they can... They can hurt everyone... No, they can't... I... I tried... So many times, to stop it... But it-"
Lucian burst into hiccuping sobs. "...don't hurt them. Don't hurt them, please... Take me instead. Please. Beat me instead, torture me instead, r*pe me instead, KILL ME INSTEAD!!! please... Please..."
...I don't want to ever become a killer.
I'd rather be nothing.
Lucian finally came back to his senses, after a great amount of hyperventilation. "I'm... I'm sorry, Kubo... I'm so sorry, Kubo. I don't know what came over me. I'm so stupid, I'm sorry..."
"...but... yeah... I'd... Make you whatever you want. If... You even want to have lunch with me. Why would anyone?..."
Pathetic.
Pathetic.
Nothing.
...not even a ghost.
Just nothing.
Kubo won't ever love you. No one will ever love you. The only people who did are dead now. And they were wrong to.
Darcy Harper's POV
Looking at him, and seeing, even through all the layers of clothing... How awfully thin he was... Darcy had a feeling he was VERY hungry.
"Yayyyy! Guacamole! Thank youuuu, friend!" Sawyer dashed over and hugged Akari. "Thankyouthankyouthankyou! And yeahhh, you can eat too! Go ahead!"
Darcy shook his head and tried not to laugh. Sawyer being Sawyer.
Always so excitable over the smallest thing, like a regular Chichi Hazell.
Wait. NO DORKY YOU DON'T REFERENCE YOUR OWN NOVEL THAT'S SELF-PROMOTION!!
Ahem.
Sawyer was... Always proud of him. No matter how he did at things. And in a way, it just made him feel more envy...
That they could see things the way they did. That they could do so well at so many things...
And yet, this person, could look at Darcy, and think he was something.
...Darcy wished he could be like that. He wished, he wished, he wished.
Sometimes... It really feels like it was because of what happened to her...
Sawyer Laurens's POV
Ooh tables. Tables tables.
Sawyer wanted to do some math now!! And to flip some more tables. Of course.
Ooh.. flipping. Pancakes. PANCAKES!! UGHHHH, PANCAKES. FLUFFINESS. YES.
Sawyer popped the ice cubes into the soup and immediately poured their share of guacamole into it.
"SAWYER, DON'T-" Darcy groaned, and facepalmed. It seemed he had given up on getting them to be socially acceptable.
"What? Why can't I try it?" they asked with a grin. Darcy relented. "Well, I... Guess I don't see why not. Hey, Akari... do you want some soup?"
This was the way life was supposed to be. And it felt wonderful.
...too bad they were only dreaming. Darcy had moved, far, far away. Sawyer hadn't seen him in years.
Still... It was nice to see him again. A sad smile made its way upon Sawyer's face.
Even if this was only a dream, that one day Sawyer would wake up from.

Was... Was Sawyer always like this? I mean, Akari didn't mind, but...
It just wasn't what he was used to, I guess. Everyone in his life was always so... Serious, no one ever had time for jokes or much fun, really. Guess he was just forced to grow up too quickly.
Especially because of her.
He looked up from the plates and bowls to look at the two, his face showing little expression other than exhaustion. His body was still extremely tense due to even being around others, and when Sawyer just randomly got up and hugged him...
Well, he jumped, recoiling at the touch. Akari wasn't exactly a "hugging" type of person, he didn't really like to be touched in general.
Especially because of her.
He watched as Sawyer mixed the two foods like he was a child mating a potion, which oddly, softened his stare. He would've smiled at how absurd and light-hearted it was if he wasn't so tense.
"Hey, Akari... do you want some soup?"
Truth be told, he was hungry, that's why he got into this mess in the first place, but honestly...
He could tell that he wouldn't be able to eat without forcing himself to, now matter how hungry he was right now. His throat grew tight at the thought of eating anything, but his stomach was empty anyways.
Oh well, couldn't hurt to try.
"Y-yeah, sure..." He said quietly, his voice seemed a little bit louder though. He looked down once again, back at the two dishes sitting at the table, then took a
And ate it.
Well, not before dipping it in a little guacamole, but I had to do what I had to do to make a reference.
. . .
God he hated how he just made things so awkward, he barely spoke, and even when he did, his words held no weight, no meaning. They were just simple replies, and that's all the words he could say. He hated how he automatically tensed up at the sight of other people, even when he tried to calm his nerves or something. It's just... Those eyes.
Every time someone looked at him, he could feel their eyes. Were they... judging him? All he could feel were glares, daggers from each one of those eyes, even from the kindest ones, ones that never judged him.
Truth is, he never wanted to be this socially reclusive, it kinda just... happened. Living alone for so long at a young age also probably contributed to that, honestly.
And yeah, right here, right now, right in the middle of a killing game, this probably wasn't the best time or place, really, to actually try for once. Try to talk to people, try to get on their good side, try to ignore those daggers he felt every single day.
But seeing how Darcy and Sawyer reacted to him being here, it couldn't hurt... right? As bad as he felt for "ruining the mood" or whatever, just by being here, he could try to be better, right?
He looked up at the two again, noticing Sawyer's sad smile slowly inch its way there. "Sawyer are you... Are you ok...?" Akari asked, unsure if he did something wrong.
...Did he make Sawyer sad? Did he do something wrong?
No, no, no need to be pessimistic. No need to jump to conclusions.
. . .
While he looked at Sawyer, still not directly at their face, he remembered something. Something he should've never forgotten.
There wasn't much time left before things would be a pain in the ass for him, and it already happened on random occasions too. It was annoying as hell but he didn't make a big deal out of it, but soon...
It probably would be a big deal.
His softened expression slowly turned to its usual, tired, cold state, but he still looked at Sawyer and their sad smile. God... he didn't want to think about it, but he kinda had to. Well... Might as well enjoy the moment while he still could, even if he wouldn't be able too that easily much longer.
He let out a deep exhale and looked slightly down at Sawyer's food, not saying a word.
Sawyer Laurens's POV
He was asking them if... they were okay. Sawyer felt perplexed. Everything was okay! Everything was ALWAYS okay.
So why was Akari asking if they were okay?
"Oh, of course I'm okay! I'm fine! In fact, way better than okay! I'm doing great!" Sawyer responded promptly, almost a melodic nature to their voice when they spoke.
Darcy let out a slightly sad "Heh..." before taking another spoonful of soup into his mouth.
"Are you okay, Akari?" they asked. "You seem a bit frowny-faced!"
Everything about them seemed gloomy, gloomy, gloomy. Like the rain outside, until you realized, it wasn't gloomy or gray at all! It was fun, it was pretty, it was sparkly, it came in so.many different forms. It brought life to EVERYTHING around it!
Maybe Akari hadn't learned how rain worked yet. Sawyer brightened, slamming their hand upon the table with a sparkle in their eye. "I HAVE AN IDEA!" they exclaimed.
Darcy nearly spat out the noodles in the soup in surprise, at Sawyer slamming down their hand on the table and shouting that.
"We should all go throw a party!! There are so many games we can play together, and we can have snacks, and talk, and, it'll be amay-zing! It'll be the greatest thing since hamsters!"
Their eyes shone with pride. "It's a GREAT idea! What do you two think?"
Darcy Harper's POV
But, Sawyer was just usually nonsensical like that. You really just couldn't question them.
A party...
Darcy thought about it. Mom had never let him go to parties. And... It really might be great for just the three of them to do. And hopefully not the whole school. Darcy was beginning to wish Sawyer hadn't spoken quite so loudly...
"I... Think it could be a good idea. What do you think, Akari?"

Akari's blank stare at Sawyer's bowl suddenly became came back in focus again once they spoke, causing him to look back up.
"...Huh?"
"Oh, of course I'm okay! I'm fine! In fact, way better than okay! I'm doing great!"
"A-alright, sorry..." He immediately felt bad for asking, even if there was no good reason to.
"Are you okay, Akari? You seem a bit frowny-faced!"
Akari paused and took another deep breath, finally dipping his fork into the soup bowl, still not taking another bite of food. He hated forcing himself to eat, but he hadn't eaten in, what... A day or two? Not since before... Her trial, after all. Guess he just had to keep trying.
"Yeah, yeah I-" He started out, interrupted by Sawyer slamming on the table. He didn't even know if he could finish that sentence anyways, considering the fact that it wasn't fully true, but...
"Jesus..." He jumped once again at the sudden movement, lowering his head in embarrassment. His breathing got noticeably heavier and his chest started pounding from the shock, and he placed the hand not holding the fork over his eyes while he calmed down. Loud noises... Loud sudden noises... He hated them.
"We should all go throw a party!! There are so many games we can play together, and we can have snacks, and talk, and, it'll be amay-zing! It'll be the greatest thing since hamsters!"
"I-... Uh-..."
"It's a GREAT idea! What do you two think?"
He really wasn't sure what to say, honestly. His tendency to withdraw from any social situation didn't really leave much room for parties after all. I mean, he didn't have anything better to do, but he was still very reluctant.
And... What did they even mean by that hamster part?
"What do you think, Akari?"
He sat in silence for a bit, looking between the two, not once putting his hands back on his bowl. What should he even say...?
Well, he should say the longest thing he's
"I-... I don't-..." He started, then realized he wasn't going anywhere with it. Akari paused, then took a deep breath before continuing. "I don't exactly know... Never really went to parties... y'know? So... I mean... If you want to do it, then..." He gave a slow, small shrug as he looked away, finding it difficult to keep looking anywhere near them.

"Kathy! Are- are you okay?" Oh, god, not again...
Kathryn was covered from head-to-toe in bruises again... Oh god...
There was a deadly coldness to his voice when he spoke again.
"...what the hell did they do to you?"
"L-Lucian! I'm fine. It's fine. It's... not their fault I'm so ugly, is it?"
"...that doesn't make it okay. And you're not ugly, okay? You're beautiful... you're a beautiful person, in every way! At least... that's how I feel."
...how could anyone do this? To anyone?
She smiled sadly at him. "...thank you, Lucian, but... I'm not so sure that's true."
Lucian shook his head. "No. Nonono. It IS true. You just can't see it. ...Just, hang in there, okay? I'll go get some first-aid..."
It really wasn't fair. It really, truly wasn't fair...
How could anyone be so cruel?
He remembered... how he came back, with first aid. How he ever so carefully treated the bruises, carefully applying the bandaids...
"Thank you, Lucian... I- really don't deserve a brother like you."
"...you're right. You deserve even better."
...and he'd been right about that, hadn't he?
Because... he hadn't been able to save her. And it might've even been his fault.
Lucian... was so sick... of not being able to save people.
And just listening to Kubo now...
He almost felt like he really WAS a killer.
He may not have killed anyone...
...but it was still his fault.
It's still always somehow my fault.
Because he wasn't enough. He'd never be good enough.
And that was part of the reason why... he'd do whatever it took to save others. Regardless of the consequences to himself.
Because he didn't matter. What mattered is he could save others.
Even if they tore his heart out, stamped on it, shattered it like glass, and threw it over a cliff.
Even if they made him want to cry, even if they made him want to die...
Even... if it would kill him.
Mei was right about him. Kubo was right about him.
...and it was something he couldn't bear. The fact they were both right, in a way.
There was no use for him here, no point for him being there.
And yet... he wanted to make that a lie. He wanted to help Kubo, no matter how much it hurt him. He wanted to help Mei, he wanted to help Miyako, Setsuna, Mika, Idris, Akari, Darcy, Sawyer, Solaro, Akora, Shi... and everyone else. He wanted to help everyone.
...it was what he was here for.
He breathed heavily. "...Kubo. I understand... if- you don't want to have lunch with me. I wouldn't care much for my own company, either... if I was you. But, can I... make lunch for you, please?"
If I can make him even a little happier...
If I can make everyone even a little bit happier...
Then that's all I want.
He wasn't going to bring death. He didn't want to bring death.
He wanted to stop death.
He wanted to look death right in the face, and tell it, "No."
You won't take them away.
You won't take anyone away.
He wanted to hold each person's hand, and pull them away from the brink.
Away from the fire, away from the darkness.
No more bloodshed, no more pain.
He'd give each and every person a fearless smile, and tell them, "It's okay, because I'm here."
"I'll always be here."
Darcy Harper's POV
"No, no, it's okay! What are you apologizing for?" Sawyer tilted their head. "You didn't do anything wrong, Akari! Someone needs another hug!"
Please, no, Sawyer, NOT AGAIN. I swear to God...
"Well... I don't want to do the party idea if it makes Akari uncomfortable." He bit his lip. "Well, I mean, I don't- know if it makes Akari uncomfortable! But... only if you want to, Akari."
Sawyer sighed reluctantly. "Yeahhh, I guess so. It doesn't have to be a party if he doesn't want it to be."
Darcy nodded. "Yeah..."
My whole life... I've been forced into doing things I don't want to do. I can't force that onto Akari too. Even in regards to something as small as a party.

As Mei finished, he mumbled a thanks underneath his breath.

With fear? Pain?
He yelped as Monokuma grabbed his hand and pressed it against the bear's stupid face. He started batting Monokuma away.

Mei was in the middle of moving things around, gathering everything she used and putting them neatly back into the box when Monokuma arrived. She let out a loud groan but didn't turn around, still continuing to put things back. By the time she was done, it looked like the box had never been touched.
"Oh shadDUP, will ya? Jesus christ you're annoying..." Mei shot back, obviously not pleased to see Monokuma's BS. She finally turned around and started to lean on the table she was using, gripping the edges with both of her hands. She rolled her eyes at whatever he was saying, groaning once again.
"Do you want 'em dead or not? Look, I'm all for finishing the job myself, but it ain't worth not havin' a trial, right?"
She slowly lowered her back to lean against the table and crossed her arms instead. Honestly, she was so angry and so over this bullcrap that she had no idea what she was even saying. Oh well, not like it mattered, right?
"Just shut that dumb mouth of yours..." She glared at the bear, leaning forward before taking a few steps towards him, her arms still crossed.
She took one glance at Idris after his threat, raising her eyebrow slightly, but not saying a word. Heyyyy... No fair... She didn't get to have knives everywhere! And besides, there were rules in place anyways... As much as she wanted to do the same, make this stupid bear into something not even Octavian could do, it wasn't worth it. She knew the bear wasn't bluffing either, she recalled what happened when they first got here. All someone did was touch Monokuma and they were flung across the room. Geez... What a party pooper.
"And I prefer the term 'son of a b***h' instead, a'ight? Or..." Mei knelt down and crossed her arms across her knees, smirking. "You just sayin' the s**t your wife calls you at the dinner table?"
"Go bug someone else you stupid hunk o' junk..." She muttered, pointing to the door while keeping her eyes on that empty black dot Monokuma had, the red one was just too edgy for her.

He was still looking away from them, but the weight in his throat had led to his hands moving to the back of his neck once again, rubbing the cold cloth covering his hand over the already slightly red skin.
"I-... Sorry I didn't mean-" He quickly tried to say, then tried to swallow the lump in his throat afterward.
No more hugs, please...
He didn't want to say that out loud, figuring it would be fairly rude to do so, and instead he skipped over it.
"N-no no, that's alright, I'm..." He sighed, realizing that he was jumping around his words again, the clarity of his speed barely above a mutter.
"A party is fine, it's just..." He paused then did a small shrug, still looking nowhere near the two, just a random spot on the other end of the table. "I don't... I-I'd probably just be a drag..."
Akari wasn't exactly sure if he'd be any help setting things up anyways, or doing anything really. He obviously wasn't very sociable and he was constantly tense, so he probably wasn't the best person to invite to a "party", right?
Well, he could still try.

He supposed they would all be having a party. "Of course you wouldn't be a drag, Akari! Don't worry!" he tried to reassure him.
But... Darcy had a bad feeling about this. He wasn't quite sure why.

Sawyer did the dot eyes Kel sprite. "Oh! Good point! Umm... Maybe in one of the dorms! Or OH! Is there a Party Room?! Maybe we should invite some other people too!" Sawyer beamed, hands upon their hips. "Wouldn't want them to feel left out!"
"L-Let's not get ahead of ourselves!" Darcy fretted, waving his hands. He had two reasons for his reluctance...
One, deadly possibilities, namely Sawyer being an impulsive idiot, possibly.
Two, MIYAKO. Darcy didn't know what was going on between those two, but...
The image flashed in his mind. Sawyer and Miyako holding hands in the Trial Room.
But... Knowing Sawyer, it wasn't like that, was it?
Probably not, but...

"I'mma go put this stuff up, you comin'?" She tilted her head to the side and relaxed her grin as she asked Idris, watching him leave the room.
"Oooooorrrrrr... You wanna leave poor little ol' me alone and go to the cafeteria?"
"Hehe, don't blame ya, do whatever ya want! I ain't gonna stop you~" She giggled and turned away, looking back at him one last time with a smile before slowly walking away, lifting her feet up in an exaggerated manner as she walked

"A-alright then..." He looked down at his soup and finally took a single bite, then looked back up at Darcy and Sawyer and spoke again. He wasn't a fan of adding more people, considering how many people here were downright cruel, but he wouldn't protest. He could just hope that he wasn't going to be noticed at said "party", no big deal.
"I-I'm fine with anything, really... Just... W-whatever you guys want to do, I guess..."
He paused for a moment, pursing his lips again before speaking. "R-really, I'm fine with whatever..." He wasn't sure why he felt the need to reassure them, but he did anyways.
He decided to say nothing about the details Darcy and Sawyer were discussing, the former brought up a good point. He wasn't exactly sure on where would be a good place, and he wasn't sure on supplies either...
He took another bite of his soup slowly, almost getting tired of forcing himself at this point. The soup was really good, it's just... He wasn't exactly used to eating something like this, or at all really.
idk what to write tbh
Bad In-Laws
"H-Hey!" Monokuma stammered. "You dare try and leave?! I came with the shovel and everything!" The bear tried to hold up a shovel, but it smacked him in the face instead.
He staggered back several steps. "You WON'T GET AWAY WITH CORRUPTING MY CHILD!" he yelled. "JUST YOU WAIT, YOU EVIL BEETLE SEDUCER! MY CHILD'S INNOCENCE WILL WIN OUT, AND YOU WILL FIND YOURSELF UNDER THE WHEELS OF MY MONSTER TRUCK!"
Kubo Atsushi
Kubo blinked, as Lucian appeared to have some sort of mental breakdown in front of him. How ridiculous, he thought. But something was making his hands tremble.
"I-I-" He couldn't find any words. So he just wrapped his arms around Lucian. "I changed my mind," he murmured into his ear. "I didn't mean it. I'm sorry, okay? You're not..." he cringed from the words that initially came to his mind. "The Grim Reaper," he settled on. "Maybe an angel. You prefer that?"
Kaoru Kajiwara
There was no escape from Rumia's enormous teeth. "YE BE DOOMED!" Kaoru yelled, throwing Horatia at Rumia and zooming down the hallway. She tumbled head over heels, and finally fell through-
Lucian?
"OH NO!" she screamed. "I TOUCHED HIM WITH MY GROSS UNDEAD BODY!"
Niwa Atsushi
"Hm? What's wrong?" Niwa tilted his head at her.
"Niwa... you've been busy lately. You've never forgotten about supper before. And you..." She swallowed visibly. "You didn't have lunch today either."
"I'm just studying. One less thing for Ms. Hiroto to yell at us for, right?" Niwa smiled at her.
"...Yeah. One less thing."
"Well, come on then! Let's go eat. Maybe Kowai'll be there."
At the girl's name, his sister's eyes visibly darkened. "Kowai? Why Kowai?"
Lucian Arbred's POV
There's, nothing I won't understand
I'll believe, it alllll,
III won't let go of your hand"
The world seemed to come to a stop. Not one more tear left Lucian's eyes. Kubo Atsushi had wrapped his arms around him, and was murmuring in his ear.
He was... He was... So close-
Kubo was-
KUBO WAS HUGGING HIM?
Lucian's face was suddenly feeling VERY warm. His heart pounded, feeling that sort of flipfloppy sensation... Of aching. Of contentment...
He didn't mean it. He was sorry...
Not the Grim Reaper. ...Lucian wasn't the Grim Reaper.
And when Kubo was the one saying those words, suddenly it felt like they were almost true.
...maybe an angel.
"I... I do- but... I'm- I'm no angel... You're an angel..." His heartrate quickened as he found himself putting his arms around Kubo back. It was only then that he'd realized what he said. "I-I MEAN! It's... Like you're an angel. Too. You... You help so many people. You save so many people. You don't have to be sorry... It's okay. I forgive you. No matter what..."
And I love you, no matter what, his mind added on.
Oh god... He- he...
He wanted to feel Kubo's arms wrapped around him forever. Lucian began to feel very nervous, that... Well... Maybe he'd said the wrong things.
He- he wasn't supposed to say that. Was he?
He had a strange feeling Kaoru was very nearby. He wasn't sure why...
But am I really an angel? Can angels be born from demons...?

Kubo Atsushi
"I'm... an angel?" Kubo's brain short-circuited. He didn't really help people, though. Leading people to their executions was kinda his job.
Lucian's job was to kill their old selves and resurrect them again, in a world they could belong in.
That made more sense.
"Hmm. I guess I can see that," he said, not seeing it at all. "I'll accept the compliment. Thanks, angel-boy."
Kaoru Kajiwara
Wait. Her "my-man-has-been-stolen-senses"...
Lucian was sitting. And hugging him- someone else's gross arms were around him.
She paled rapidly.
Kubo?!
Niwa Atsushi
"Um- she's my friend." Niwa didn't feel comfortable calling her his sibling yet. His sister frowned a bit more. "We uh- had a fun talk yesterday. She likes heroes too."
Or more so she liked calling Niwa a hero. Even if it was sarcastic, it made him feel bigger and stronger- more worthy of love.
"I like heroes," his sister said quietly. "Do you want to hang out with me too?"
Lucian Arbred's POV
Oh, he did get it. Or, he was pretending to. Lucian wasn't quite sure.
"I'll accept the compliment. Thanks, angel-boy."
His face reddened. He'd... thanked him.
Angel... Angel-boy, huh?
He imprinted the nickname into his mind...
He thought of him... as an angel?
Maybe in a sarcastic sense. Probably... in a sarcastic sense?
His heart was beating so fast... so, so fast... He almost worried Kubo might hear it.
"Y-You're welcome. You're... always welcome."
He didn't want to ever get up from this spot. But... well... he'd- probably have to, eventually, wouldn't he?
This was- hardly appropriate. What was- what was he doing? Hugging his client for so long, like this...
Wasn't this... so selfish? He didn't... deserve this, did he?
(Actually, I'll just write Daiko's reply here, instead of editing it in)
Darcy Harper's POV
Especially certain people.
Sawyer's face curled into a pout. "Awwwwwww. Okayyyy. I guess it can still be fun!"
"Of course it can! So... I- maybe we should hold it in the Party Room? Or just... somewhere private. Where people can't suddenly barge in."
He remembered telling people about Kubo and Lucian's therapy session. But... he figured it was probably best that, well... they didn't tell anyone. Or... was it? He wasn't so sure...
"But... what if someone feels left out?" Sawyer asked worriedly.
Darcy groaned. "Well, if we don't tell anyone about it, they won't have anything to feel left out about!"
Sawyer blinked. "Oh! That's true enough. Okay then!"
Sawyer Laurens's POV
Sawyer suddenly realized by having that knowledge, they had accidentally broken the fourth wall. Because, they had not known if there was a Party Room or not, and the existence of the Party Room was something from last round. Whoops.
"If-- there's a Party Room, we can hold it there!"
"Umm, sure! When should we hold it? What do you think, Akari?" Darcy asked.

Ugh... Just as she was about to walk away, that stupid bear talked again. Didn't she tell him to shut up? Twice?
"Oh, but he's the headmaster! You can't tell him what to do!"
She just did, deal with it. Respecting your elders is lame anyways.
She turned on her heel with her arms outstretched slightly, whirling around with her as she looked back behind her. She took her two index fingers and pulled her eyes down, leaning forward, and blowing a raspberry before giggling and skipping away.
"Rule number one, don't threaten me with a good time, got that?" She yelled back cheerfully, her head still turned to face in front of her. She held her free hand up and waved her fingers, then turned the corner to go to the stairs.
After she fell out of sight from both Idris and Monokuma, her grin faded and her face became cold, slightly exhausted. She was walking normally now, slightly hunched over with one hand in her pockets and the other carrying the supplies. She made it up the stairs and walked slowly to the room she honestly shouldn't be familiar with by now, letting out a sigh when she got to the door.
Her footsteps were irregular, following a 1 2, 1 2, 1 2 pattern. Now, I'm not an expert in this, but I'd say she was limping a little bit.
She did too much standing up today... Her legs hurt.
She entered the room and sat down on one of the chairs instead of throwing the kit somewhere and leaving, taking a deep breath as she leaned back and closed her eyes.
Her legs... Hurt...
. . .
Mei took longer than she wanted to in the office, but she walked out the door with the same dull face and headed back to the cafeteria, still walking slowly but no longer limping. Mei had actually out in the effort to put the kit back neatly, as well as the even more used roll of bandages, but that was probably the last time she would bother with something like that. She let out a yawn that echoed slightly in the hallway she was in, and she kept walking. Her legs didn't really hurt anymore, but she was tired and really wanted to just take it slow. Although, she couldn't help but think... How long had Idris been waiting on her? She didn't bother to check a clock and could honestly care less really, but she made it seem like she was going to make it quick. She had to have been gone for a suspicious amount of time, right?
Eh, whatever, not like she was doing anything suspicious. Even if something did happen, she knew that she didn't do it. She could probably convince everyone else that she didn't do anything anyways.
She kept walking and walking, pretty mindlessly as she hardly made a noise in this empty hallway until...
Mei heard a noise.
Yadda yadda yadda, something about a grim reaper and an angel or some bullcrap, she didn't really bother to listen closely. Wait... Was that...
Mei quietly snuck up to the corner and slightly peeked her head out so she could see who was talking, her purple eyes widening when she saw...
Kubo and Lucian. Hugging.
Mei jumped out from hiding and crouched down slightly, sticking her index finger straight at them while putting on an evil grin.
"Aaaa-HAH! I KNEW YOU TWO HAD SOMETHIN' GOIN ON!" She laughed a little bit before hopping forward, looking down at the two while they hugged.
"I don't care WHAT you guys say, I ain't buyin' it! Hehe, FIIIIIRRRSSST it was the very odd and totally not suspicious 'THERAPY' session, and now THIS? Oh ho ho, now THIS was interesting~"
Mei laughed a little bit more before stepping back, placing her hands on her hips and grinning maliciously at the two. She acted completely different from the cold, cruel demeanor Lucian last saw her as, and it all looked genuine too.
I dunno maybe she was a theater kid, probably why she's so "quirky".
"Awww, am I interrupting a moment? A little bonding session? Awww, I'm so sorry! Please forgive me oh great Sally Face, I won't intrude on your little moment with Mr.Snowflake over here aaaaaannnyy longer, I'll get outta y'alls hair!"
She whirled around on her heel as her arms flew out at her sides, turning around and walking towards the cafeteria slowly, looking back at them the entire time.
"I'll toooottaallly keep this little thing a secret, don't you worry! Hehe, cya~" She waved them off, but walked so slowly that it looked like she was waiting for them to do something before she left.

He sat silently, listening to the two talk on and on while he mainly just stared at his barely touched bowl. He had taken another bite since they started, but it was barely even a single, full noodle.
Then they asked him another question, the mention of his name making him jump a little as he returned from zoning-out a little bit.
He wasn't used to talking so much, and especially wasn't used to being asked for his opinion. Sure, most would find it considerate that these two would be so concerned about their opinions, but Akari...
He just had nothing to say. He kinda wished they would stop, but he knew that would be a little rude to say anything about it. Besides, that was just his anti-socialness showing, right? He wanted to be more "involved", but how could he do that if he didn't try talking every once in a while.
"Well... Does the time really matter? I-I mean-" he stammered a little bit, realizing that he was a little blunt there. "Any time seems fine, r-right? As long as it's not... Y'know... During something else...? I-I don't know..."
Awkward moment
Idris nodded, and left without a word. He walked slowly down the corridor, hands in his pockets, wondering what the hell just happened.
He was supposed to be going to the Cafeteria to meet Mei. He wasn't even hungry.
What if he just went the long way, and got lost? Maybe he could fabricate some random lie to satisfy Mei.
His hands were shaking slightly.
Idris felt extremely paranoid at this point, after what happened regarding the secrets.
The hallways were empty. Perfect.
Maybe he could stay there forever, away from everyone, as he slowly crumbled bit by bit.
And there wouldn't be anyone to stop him.
He doubted anyone would even notice.
He sighed at stared at the ceiling.
He finally came to term with everything, and realised with his eyes wide and a groan escaping his lips-
Oh no.
