The source of the noise seemed to have come from some griffon-like beast. It was on a rampage, stomping around and carelessly flapping its wings around. Neverin bit back a groan. This could take a while. He readied himself in a fighting stance, drawing a spell circle in the air. He cast a simple illusion spell, designed to disorient the enemy with a flash of light. Without pausing to check if it worked, another spell circle summoned up vines, which began to snake around the beast. The scout captain frowned, trying to keep his mind on the spell. He had trained in bard magic, and he knew only a few spells using the other forms of magic. Plant and construction magic took a lot out of him, so he would prefer to deal with the beast quickly.

Spotting a fellow Emperor's coven, Nymphia cast a spell circle, which sent a shock of lightning at the beast while it was being restrained. Flying past she gave a nod of thanks to the coven captain, before trying to locate the mysterious coven rule breaker again.

The counselor sighed. “May, I can’t help you if you don’t talk. What’s wrong?”
No answer. “If you don’t tell me what’s wrong, I’m contacting your pare-”
“N-n-no! Nononono! Nothing’s wrong!” Maylee stammered. “I’m just- having an off day, that’s all!”
“Your… performance is like this every day, Miss Lakes. With all due respect.”
Nervously, Maylee fidgeted, struggling to come up with something to say. “I- I saw a monster. A monster attacking a child. O-o-outside. But- it was an illusion- and- it vanished with a puff of smoke,” she babbled, as calmly as she could muster.
The school counselor nodded. “And, how do you know you didn’t imagine it?”
“I- I don’t! But- I just- hated it so much, I dropped everything- you have to believe me!” She clutched her hands to her chest, and tears welled from her eyes.
“Oh, Maylee. You know, I think we should contact your parents.”
“P-p-p-lease don’t,” she whimpered softly.
“Sorry?”
“I-I said that’s- n-n-not necessary-”
The counselor sighed. “Like I said, what’s wrooo-”
The words seemed to somehow sound blurry. Oh no, it was happening again- her vision was blurring- EVERYTHING WAS BLURRING! She struggled to stay awake, and- fell unconscious.

"I guess you can go on ahead." Nymphia answered, watching her Palisman nod and run off. Nymphia struggled to do much with her staff, after all she can't fly for a while. But she could try going through the sewers, which was not the best option. But hey she might have to do it.
Brooksook didn't understand anything about music. To be more clear, she didn't understand anything. What was reading music? What was that insidious rhyme that told you notes or something? What was that long rant that her teacher had gone on several hours ago?
And now, with this large accumulation of total incompetence, she was expected to infuse magic into her own composition.
She was currently sulking.
Why was she stuck in this class? Why couldn't she have gotten something easy, something that didn't require the terrible word known as "effort"? Why couldn't her parents accept that all she wanted out of life was to stay afloat as the incompetent lump she was and never develop or grow as a person?
Brooksook sighed. The person sitting next to her had left. The only thing that she could do was sit here. Bored. Confused. Frustrated. Why couldn't something exciting happen? Why couldn't she like, go to an exciting coven, get magically transported to an exciting world, and make friends with people who knew nothing about her and always accepted and bowed to her whims?
She thumped her head into her desk.
Suddenly, the curse came alive. The instruments started screaming.
Brooksook choked and promptly screamed right with them. "HOLY GRHGNJTRJTRJRGTJW WHAT THE FLIP GTRJHNGTRJGRTRKGJTKGTRNJGTRJNJGTR! HELP HELPPPPPP!"
Meanwhile, Brooksook was still screaming while waiting for the npc teacher.
