His eyes traced along the room, committing it to memory. He sighed and pulled himself off the wall, casting a hesitant glance at Genya. "Is this where we live?" he asked.

"Everything is going to be okay."
"You're right... that's the one thing I'm forgetting. I remember- I know you-" he shook his head as if clearing off fog. He turned to her, blue eyes glowing. "Clearly..." Then the look faded. "I just don't know what you mean... the lake, the game..." his shoulders slumped. "I'm sorry."
The events of the past day.
He closed his eyes.
Then opened them.
"You awake, Genya?" he whispered, his voice raspy from sleep.
Adrik hadn't slept a wink. He was laying, shivering in his bed. Clenched in his right fist was the paper... his promise... He hadn't trusted the wolf girl. She would take it. Read it... and then.
He couldn't breathe.
Oh, Gods.
Seara was fast asleep. Their promise... hadn't appeared to bother them. And yet again, many things didn't seem to. They were still sleeping...
And yet if you looked closer at their face...
They had been crying.
And in their sleep, their teeth were clenched. Wildly. Rage.
Priya was still sleeping as well. Her face, however, was red and blotchy, and the hollows under her eyes indicated a long night of weeping. Her hair, normally perfect and silky, was thrown everywhere, and even tangled at several parts, indicating her sleep had been a restless one.
Isla sat in the corner of her room, gazing out the window. She didn't say a word, just looked out over the school. Yellow eyes reflected no emotion. Smoldering in the wastebasket was a scorched piece of paper. Several words were visible. Tell- School- Burn- This-
Her face was relaxed, smooth, tanned. Not a tear streaked down it, nor anything but the usual hollows beneath her eyes. Her backpack lay by her feet as usual, but she was ignoring it for once.
Her eyes traced the constellations in the sky- Then she closed them, and heaved a great sigh. She stood up and walked up to the door, closing it quietly behind her.
She left her bag behind.
Far off inside another room, someone sat, blue eyes reflecting no emotion. He too was gazing out a window, but one dirt-streaked and shattered. He glanced behind himself.
Katie was waking up.
Stacy smiled slightly.
"Good morning, friend."
And all of you whom I hope will live to see the events of the day I've been waiting for for ten years.
She was wide awake, curled into a ball.
"Are you okay?"
---------------------------------------------------------------------
Mirej looked up at the clouds.
She was lying in a field, surrounded by tall grass.
The stars twinkled.
A tear ran down her cheek.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------
His eyes were still closed.
His breathing getting shallower and shallower.
Blood stained his shirt.
His pale fingers twitched.
Then went still.
Kaden's breathing stopped.
----------------------------------------------------------
"I can't..."
Ai Li clenched her fists.
Xiao Long disappeared.
"Kendall.
I had to kill Xiao....Xiao Long.
Instead of you."
She began to cry.
-------------------------
Lin laughed.
"I don't believe you.
This was probably your stupid task.
Make me believe that you're sorry."
