"Tell me," she said quietly, her eyes searching his. "...Please."
Her voice softened briefly, then became forceful again.
"Please."
Suddenly, a blue portal opened up inside the room. Seara stepped

Isla glanced at him sharply, barely missing Sasaki's exit. "What?"
she asked. Her voice cracked, and she asked a little harsher.
"What?"
Adrik cringed and shuffled ahead of Kaden, as if trying to shield
him from Isla's anger, however slight. Isla shot him a glare and he

Seara yelped. "H-Hey! What is that thing?" They backed up several
steps until they bumped against a wall. "K-Keep it a-away from me!"

clipped Adrik and he staggered a few steps to the side. "Watch it,
nitwit!" she snapped at him, and then passed through the door,
leaving them behind her.
Seara yelped, jumping from foot to foot. "KEEP IT AWAY FROM ME!"
they cried.

"Nice to meet you!" he chirped. "You're pretty cute, you know that?
