There was a small shape hidden in the shadows. It was long and lithe, its fur dark and soft. It suddenly tilted its head, and two shimmering slit-pupil eyes were visible, glowing in the dim light of the cave. It sat down, surveying the campsite blow, for the shape was sitting on a small rise in the rocky earth. The animal yawned, its long, razor-sharp fangs glinting in the firelight that reached them. The creature reached out a slender paw and flicked a rock, sending it tumbling down. It normal was silent, but now, it decided it would try and get the attention of the campers below.

Fog's gills suddenly twitched and his body tensed. Something was here. Icy mist surrounded him and he grew nervous, he dared not get DD's attention now, he didn't want her to be harmed. The mist grew fiercer, creating a mini snowstorm around him, a defense mechanism he rarely used. He sat still on his boulder, tense and nervous.

Hearing movement, the glass knight made its way over in the direction of the sound. It noticed... something... hiding in the shadows, with shimmering slitted eyes. It contemplated bringing the thing to the queen, or simply destroying it before it could harm the queen. It reached towards the shape, set to at least find out what the shimmering eyes were a part of...

DD felt troubled. On one hand, there had been a tumbled rock that signaled the presence of something or someone else that she wanted to know more about. On the other hand, Fog was hidden away in a mini snowstorm that didn't affect her knight. She was worried and curious about this new development. If only she had her observations notebook to remember later on. For now she simply waited for something, good or bad, to happen.

Fog looked at DD quickly and mouthed, there's something here! . The snowstorm receded slightly, his nerves were lifting, whatever he sensed hadn't attacked him.....yet. Fog looked at his ice crystal and grimaced....if the being attacked, he might have to resort to....the transformation. He couldn't. Not with other people around. They would hate him for it, for his power. He had to keep it a secret, for his and everyone's safety. But it wanted to be let out, he could feel it. No matter how much he tried, a small part of him wanted to use that power again.

DD nodded at Fog, signaling that she got what he said, before jerking her head in the direction the rock sound had made, where she suddenly noticed her glass knight reaching towards... something with glowing eyes... "What was it?"

Fog froze for a second in shock, DD's knights had found the...thing. Fog's eyes quickly darted to the entity, sizing it up as a predator would size up its competitor. Fog's animal instincts kicked in, axolotls weren't deadly, but he had a little Leviathan DNA in him to, and that made him deadly. The snowstorm quickly receded and he continued to watch the creature with a piercing gaze like hawk, waiting for something to happen.

The creature rolled its eyes. This was not going to work. It stepped into the light. . .

Revealing a cat.

But it wasn't a normal cat. It had three tails and huge ears. It was normal size though. Or was it. As it stepped farther into the light, it seemed to grow bigger. Of course, It was just a weaving of spirit, air, water, and earth, for an illusion, but it looked real. The now huge cat stepped silently all the way out of the shadow while casting its own down towards the campground. Hopefully this will catch attention. then she noticed the glass knight.

(It might occur to the campers that this creature could possibly be the creature that destroyed the camp even though it's not but still )

Fog watched the creature carefully as it strolled out of the darkness. His eyes narrowed. The feline hadn't posed a threat yet but he still had to be carefull. Fog glanced at DD's direction and shrugged to show his confusion. He stood up suddenly, his tail waving dangerously behind him and his crystal flashing. His eyes seemed to slowly turn from an ice-blue to white as he walked slowly around his, snow-covered area, never taking his eyes off the cat.

DD quickly summoned her glass knight to her, returning it to her pocket just in case, as the other five knights formed a blockade in front of her and Fog, ready in case this cat-entity tried anything. It seemed powerful, having gone from the size of a housecat to that of what she imagined a dragon would be. Whatever it was, it still posed a threat. Either because of its size, or because IT destroyed the campground and the others. She wasn't about to let her guard down, no matter its appearance.

Fog noticed the blockade of Knights and prepared himself. His eyes suddenly turned white and his tail lengthened to the size of a Boa Constrictor. He dared not transform, just change himself, just in case the creature was going to attack. Fog's teeth grew slightly and his vision sharpened. He stopped just there at his transformation, he dared not go any further. He carried on standing there, watching, to see if anything happened.

The cat yawned. It started to shrink, but only about to five feet. Then all of a sudden, she was a woman.

The woman was short, and she wore a light blue shawl over a white blouse. She had flaring skirts that rustled when she walked, and delicate silk slippers on her small feet. Her black hair was twisted into a tight bun on top of her head, which drew the eyes to her face.

At first glance, she looked young, perhaps in her 20's. But the longer you looked, the older she seemed to get. It was as if she had no age, no way to tell by looking how many years this woman had weathered. The only hint of her age was her eyes. They were iridescent, shimmering in different colors. The eyes held wisdom that can only be gained by years, and the years were many.

"Hello, my friends."

DD was shocked and dismayed. First Fog, now this cat-lady?! Was she the only normal human of the group?! Her knights stood their ground, intent on keeping their queen safe, even if the being of threat wasn't an actual threat, yet. She chose to speak up, "Hello miss... whoever you are. You seem awfully calm despite the situation we are currently in. Perhaps you could explain why that is?" "Perhaps you know something that we don't." she thought bitterly to herself.

Fog watched as the feline transformed into a woman. He was shocked. He let himself change back to normal before approaching her. "W-who are you exactly?" Fog asked her, trembling with anticipation, all of this was a bit nerve-wracking.

Now we go to first-person, no longer in the third-person

Morain kept up her mask of calm, showing no emotion. She quickly wove an invisible wall of air around herself - only visible to women weaving the one power - leaving off the top. I may be quick with weaving, she thought, But now is not the time for taking chances. With the wall up, if anything were to approach her closer than 5 inches, they would feel something like a wall of stone, but smooth like glass.

"Firstly," Moiraine said calmly, brushing off her skirts with the dignity of that with royal blood."My name is Lady Morain Damodred of house Damodred, heir to the throne, and Aes Sadi of the blue Aja. You may call me Morain, as Morain Sadi seems not to fit the context of the moment. Secondly, I am always calm, no matter the situation. and thirdly," The woman eyed this strange, cold creature. "I am not an enemy, nor a friend. I may, perhaps, become an ally if necessary. Tell me your names."

Morain glanced at the knights, standing ready to attack. "You there, the woman with the knights. Call them down, before I deal with them myself."

DD was hesitant to call off her knights, but if this... Morain... wasn't posing a threat, had powers, and wanted to perhaps be an ally, who was she to not at least extend a hand in alliance? She called back the remaining five knights and returned them to her pockets. DD curtsied to Morain, respectful towards someone else of high standing, most likely of real status. "I go by DD, Lady Morain. Forgive my knights, in this situation caution is necessary for survival."

"My name is Fog, Fog Karaudo," began Fog, still hesitant around Morain. "I'm sorry for being so tense, I thought you were an enemy." The temperature around his went back to normal and the ice and snow disappeared. His crystal started to glow, a bright white light and he frowned. It'd been a long time since he transformed and if he didn't soon, his life aura would disappear completely. He would have to sneak out, at night time, away from everyone so they didn't see his form. Yes, that's what he'd do.

"I see," said Morain dryly, for the first time showing emotion. "I think I shall go investigate the matters of your camp here. . ."

Moraine began to walk at a brisk pace towards the camp. She wove flows of air to float four logs to surround one of the fires, and when she sat down with her legs crossed, her clothes changed from royal garb to a simple burlap shirt a cotton riding skirts. Her brown hair was no longer in a bun but hung in curly waves to her waist. She motioned for the others to sit down.

"So tell me," She began. "Miss. . . DD. Where do you come from? YOU seem as one of royal blood, are my suspicions correct?" And without waiting for DD to answer, she turned to Fog. "And you boy. Or should I say. . . No, never mind. Your secrets are yours to keep. But I must ask you later, in private." She turned back to DD, awaiting an answer.

"I, unfortunately, am not of royal blood. My title is only because I made a deal with a king some time ago. I simply... carry myself at a higher standing than others. And my servants are all too happy to feed my ideals." DD spoke, slightly embarrassed as she confessed a bit of her past. Taking a seat on one of the logs around the fire, she spoke again. "I am from a planet called Earth in the Milky Way Galaxy. Much of my world isn't ruled by royalty, but I am not descended from any of the rulers." DD sighed. "If I was, maybe things would have been different for me..." Realizing she said that portion out loud, she flushed. "Oh, pardon my ramblings!" Turning to Lady Morain, she couldn't help but ask, "What about yourself? It seems obvious that we are all not of the same world. Same goes for you Fog. Where are you from?"

Fog watched as the two young women went to the campsite. He started to shiver, a sign of his unused power. He groaned and slipped off, walking away from the camp and into a hidden tunnel. Fog breathed a sigh of relief. He extended his hand and a shot of ice spurted from it, turning the rocks into chunks of ice. His footsteps turned to snow and the air turned misty. The temperature dropped considerably as he lay down to rest in a pile of snow. He smiled as his spirits lifted. Fog felt better, but he longed to transform, to run around as his form. But he couldn't...they would find out.

"Fog?" DD asked, suddenly noticing that Fog had not followed her and Morain to the campfire. Worried, she pulled a white knight from her pocket. She summoned it, not giving it time to even bow before commanding, "Find Fog and make sure he is safe." "Yes, my queen." The knight said, quickly bowing before turning and beginning to search for the queen's friend. "Huh, why do I care so much for him?" she thought to herself, confused by her worry and concern. "Probably because he is not truly human, I despise other humans after all." Nodding to herself, she turned back to Morain...
