This is just an idea I had, and I decided to make it into a suggestion:

So, basically Rowan quests, but everyone on site who's above a certain trainer level (maybe 20 or 25 as the minimum) is participating, and the other main series professors (Elm, Birch, Juniper, Sycamore, and Kukui) are involved as well, not just Rowan and Oak.

The idea is, each active PH user (provided they are above whatever the minimum level is) must go to Emera Square probably, and they get randomly assigned a professor to help, and they are given a Pokémon to train, and everyone has to help their assigned professor get to the highest level Pokémon on average before the end of the week, and members of the top 3 teams get prizes (PD, Festival Points, maybe a special Pokémon (maybe it could be a way to implement Necrozma, Calyrex, or Spectrier and Glastrier), and perhaps even silver Mystery Boxes/Keys?) according to their team's placement.

I'm not saying this should replace the standard Rowan quests we've all gotten used to, maybe these could be on the last week of every month while the regular Rowan quests can be done every week except on weeks where these big professor contests are happening.

Would there be an option to reject the contest like in normal Professor Quests?

Would there be a way to balance if the professors didn't have the equal amounts of people?

And would you be able to see your teammates when you sign up OR you would just have to look through clicklists and wall posts OR would there be a designated thread for team?

What if some people got the pokemon but didn't try to level it at all? (Either because they were lazy or just wanted the team prize.) Would they get a smaller prize if their team won?

And lastly, I vote level 20 for the quest.

Edit: Thank you for all the answers! That/they make sense :D

@HeartOfAWizard

1. I haven't thought about how to balance it yet, and for people on winning teams who didn't level their Pokémon

2. Maybe there could be a list of people on your assigned team on the event page, or there could be a banner under your avatar in the forums and under your username on your userpage, similar to the premium banner or staff member banner, that shows which team you're on (along with whatever Pokémon that professor has with them in the intro for whatever game they're from (ex. Banner for Team Juniper has a Minccino, banner for Team Oak has a Nidorino, banner for Team Kukui has a Rockruff, etc.))

3. Yeah, that would be a good idea. Like, say, you're on the team that got first place, but your contest Pokémon is only level 15, and your reward was smaller than the reward that someone on the same team whose 'mon was level 120 got. I feel like it would be more fair for the people who put in the effort and tried to get their contest 'mon to a high level

4. Ok

Another idea I had: To make things fair, everyone's 'mon for the quest will be the same rarity/difficulty, but to tell the team's mons apart, the mons are from the generation that the team's professor was introduced in (Team Oak gets an Easy difficulty Gen 1 mon, Team Elm gets an Easy difficulty Gen 2 mon, Team Birch gets an Easy difficulty Gen 3 mon, and so on)

Not entirely sure what to vote yet.

So, honestly, this kinda strikes me as something similar to type races in pokefarm, the sitewide event where you have to hatch eggs of a certain type to get points for your team. There, the site has a minimum point requirement in order to reach the team reward. So, honestly if something like that existed, that would make sense. (And I recommend)

But, a problem I have with this is that it really depends on how rich/active the users on each team are. Say, a multi-millionaire user got on Juniper's team, and simply bought a whole lot of rare candies to boost them up, where as the Kukui's members might not be able to afford such a thing. If everyone is randomly assigned, it might un up skewed to one team's advantage. Not to mention the number of users on this site has dwindled, with our situation with SCS, I don't know if something like this would work very well.

At the same time, I feel this would be really fun, especially as a way to win Legendaries and such, as I am a self-proclaimed Legend hoarder, I feel like this would be a creative way to implement it. And I like the Idea of grumpy old/competitive profs having a battle royal.

Again, unsure
