ive been trying hard to win in auctions but I hate ppl who bid when there is 1 second left leaving you no time to bid back. I find this unfair if your willing to bid even higher.
I think when the time is under 1 minute and someone bids the time should get extended to 2 minutes. then if someone wants to keep bidding they may and it will be more fair. then TRULY the highest bid will win.

I'm not sure about this. I know the problem of last second bidding, but if it gets extended every time, the auctions will never stop or the prices be like the Mount Everest...

Although I don't have a solution for the problem...

I don't think they would never end. Everybody has a maximum. It might be a little longer before it actually ends, but I don't think they'd be unending.

Personally, I can see merit in this suggestion, but maybe a limit on the amount of extentions? (no more than 5 or something...)

what if when time would normally run out only ppl who bid before could bid with the extended time.

I realize prices would be high but the problem of bidding at the last second is kinda unfair.

the point is to be the fastest to bid, it's unfair to those who are fast if the time is extended just so someone who is slower can bid instead - there is plenty of time to put large amounts of money in before the auction ends if you want to be the truly highest bidder that no one will want to bid over

ive seen higher bids suddenly with about 10 seconds left and still lose
so making really high bids isn't always the answer.

Well what if the timer and the top bidder was able to change itself without us having to refresh all the time? It might help with the problem of not being able to bit out if you time it correctly. It'll be similar to how the lab is with it's timer and the rarity and name appears, except it'll just be the bidder will change to who's the top bidder at that time. Though I'm not entirely sure if it's possible to code that without having to refresh

ten seconds is more than enough time to put a bid in

i've put bids in when the text says 'expires now!'

auctions have to end at some point, otherwise they would go on forever... suppose it's extended two minutes, what if someone else was willing to bid more than you a few seconds before those minutes were up? should it be extended so they can bid over you like you want auctions to be extended so you can bid over others?

if you weren't willing to bid the amount the person after you puts in, then you weren't truly the highest bidder

I said earlier that time would be extended EVERY time the timer is under 1 minute

wouldn't that make the auction go on forever?

if you have a maximum amount in mind that you want to bid then bid it in the first place?

It would be boring, I think... Like AutumnStar said, you can bid a little more before the auction ends, so you are sure you'll win

Anyway, if you lose, you don't lose the money, and it's sure there will be another auction with he same Pokémon, so you can try

I think it's fair, cause the person who bids more has to win the auction, if you want to win, bid more

i do understand the frustration of losing an auction - i've lost plenty, putting in a bid at almost the last second just in time to see someone bid higher than me while leaving me no time to adjust my bid, but if i'd wanted the pokemon that bad, i'd have bid the price that the person who bid higher than me did, i cut my losses (which are none! like kevinxde said, you lose no money when you lose an auction), move on, and wait for the next time the pokemon pops up in an auction

its the fact your holding the top bid till like the last 5 secounds because someone snipes it and having that happen is frustrating i've had that happen to me enough times to be annoying the thing is that the auction would not go on forever it goes on until one person can not afford to or is not willing to pay the price for the auction like i wouldn't want to pay more than 1000 poke on a magikarp and i pretty sure no one wants to pay 100000 for one pokemon either

I have only lost one auction due to people bidding over me. On the contrary, I have won several auctions - including two Shaymin - by simply bidding more than anyone else thought they were worth. I do not support this suggestion, as the auction system is fine how it is, and it works the same way as an auction in real life does, as far as I'm aware. I do not see reason to change the system for a "flaw" that is actually something that can happen in real life, too.

but how much more money did you use to over bid on that i mean no one wants to make more than they have to but snipeing is a real problem here for users that don't have as much money as some other users (like me with my 32,891 poke)

If you think you are biding a lot of money and is unfair, then, don't bid. Simple as that, wait forother auction with the same Pokémon and try again..

the thing is i've gottened sniped to many times to not say anything, it really is a problem because you'll have it were you hold the top bid until the last 5 seconds and that happens everytime you bid on anything good

Well... If you would extend the time it will always come down to the last 3 seconds in the last time it's extended. So there's no real gain here. No support from me.
