I've fulfilled the requirements for the "Mysterious Area" and "Evil Magikarp" badges, but they haven't showed up. I did it yesterday, so it's not because of the 15 minute delay.
It might be because I'm still missing the "Search for Gold" badge in the second set. On the other hand, I've been able to get badges from the second set before completing the first, so it doesn't make sense...
Is this a known bug?

Also, about "Search for Gold":

Is there a way to see how much PD you've earned from Rumbling? It feels like I should have gotten enough to get the badge already, but I don't know for sure...

im not sure, but i didnt experience this bug when i was doing my badges... although that was quite a while ago when i did the 3rd set. the only alternate explanation i can think of is that you misread/misinterpretted the requirements?

yes, when you retrieve and resend your rumbling mons, it says something like it explored XX% of the area. it also found XX pokedollar and also says before you retrieve your mons, when its going to return, how much money and how many items it has. i hope this helps lol

There should be nothing barring you from getting badges from later sets before finishing the earlier ones. So either you've misunderstood something about those two badges and not actually fulfilled the requirements or there's something buggy going on. If you post what you did to try to get those two badges, we can figure out what's up.

And clarifying Search for Gold:

You have to get the 2500 PD from a single rumble mission to qualify for the badge.

I have discovered the Mossy Forest area in the Rumble Zone, and played the coinflip for 10,000 chips until I lost.
Now that I think about it... Does the former refer to legendary-related maps, rather than these evolution areas?

Also, thanks for the clarification about Search for Gold, I'm nowhere near that lmao. Around what level do you start getting amounts like these?!

From what I remember, you also need to bet on Magikarp. Did you do that? It's not just a matter of losing 10k Chips at once, it's losing 10k Chips to a specific result

I don't remember, so it's possible it's legendary-related. Have you used the Mossy Forest already? Another possibility is that you need to send a pokémon [Eevee] there for it to be 'discovered'

The higher the level, the higher the chances, but it's still very dependent on luck. I still get amounts less than 1000 from a level 70+ area, so no guarantees.

Evil Magikarp - I always bet on tails (the Magikarp picture) and it didn't work, but now I tried both options one after the other, and it worked! Either you have to bet on heads for some reason, or you need to lose in the entire session (since last time I won twice before losing).
Mysterious Area - I don't think I've used it yet, I'll try once my mons come back in a few hours.

It's not a bunch of losses, I got mine after winning twice and losing the third toss (':

Either way makes sense, though. If you bet on Heads, you're trusting Magikarp to show up. If you bet on Tails, you're trusting Magikarp not to show up. Guess we're trusting him not to show up, if we get the badge by betting Tails ('x
