I just baught the game today, and I actually really enjoy it. Honestly some of the only criticisms I have for is the textures, and to be completely honest, those aren't even as bad as people make it out to be. I don't mind that the National Pokedex isn't in it. Like, yea, it sucks, but it's certainly not the worst.

My favorite part so far is being able to see how active and spontaneous many pokemon act in the wild. Sure, in Lets Go Eevee and Lets Go Pikachu had the overworld style, but the pokemon in Sword and Shield just feel so much more alive. I loved playing through Shield! Yeah it was pretty easy for the most part, but it was a lot of fun. The region was super pretty, I loved the designs of buildings and stuff, especially the Glimwood Tangle. That's seriously my favourite place in the whole game.

My favourite thing overall would have to be the characters, though! Hop and Bede were delightful rivals to face off against, and while I don't have as strong of an attachment to Marnie, she was cool too. I also loved the gym leaders, they all had so much personality and also such awesome designs!

Galar also has some of my favourite Pokemon designs yet. Things like Frosmoth, Alcremie, Centiskorch and Toxtricity are all awesome and I'm happy they're a new addition to the dex. I've also warmed up to the whole concept of Dynamax Pokemon over these last few months.

I like it. I have 100+ hours on my shield and 45 hours on my sword. Played both DLC’s too. I don’t mind not having a national dex and I don’t think the animations look back at all. Overall I loved playing it and I plan on playing more and more :)
