Tempest's eyes flickered opened slowly as the Stun began to wear off. His head ached horridly and he couldn't get his eyes to focus in the brilliant light. He was seated upright in an unfriendly steel chair. Pinned behind him with harsh, bitterly cold metal shackles, his hands were rendered immobile. His ankles had suffered the same fate. His head lolled back over the top of the seat, and it took quite the effort to raise it. Once he had managed this, he was virtually blind until he had re-adjusted. There appeared to be only a single light source in the dark room, and he had been staring straight at it. Where was he? Was this a cell? What was the Masked Man planning? A chill ran through him as another thought occurred. 1's words, though hazy, echoed through his mind. "...still take you... a powerful one..." What was the Masked Man planning with him?

Echo followed the girls, and that boy, to Starbucks. The minute she saw the big sign, a wave of memories washed over her. A young boy and a girl....accompanied by two smiling adults.....walked out with a cup of something...... “oh” she gasped in realisation, and another wave of sadness hit. She quickly followed, however, her head down.

Marusaki left, and started to draw again to see if she could get anything for them. She drew a picture of each person working at the ‘Startbucks’ as it was apparently called.

A deep voice echoed through the dark room. The dim light from the lightbulb was not enough to see the source of the voice. "Number 19..I had high hopes for you. With a powerful ability such as yours, you could have been an amazing soldier, just like 1. He managed to bring back you, the tratior, so he is not going to be punished. Unfourtanetly I cannot punish you just yet. So.." There was a loud sound, and the light flickered out, "We'll have to take control of you first in order to bring them back."

5 sat down at a table in the corner. The anxiety, anger, and fear had been building up this entire time. She wanted to go back. She didn't feel right, being able to just sit here in the Outside while the people who had tolerated her, the people she had known for years were sitting ducks in what would definetly be a disaster for both sides. She didn't say anything to anyone else, but it was clearly showing on her face. As well as the fact that she was tearing a napkin into tiny, tiny peices.

Marusaki went around to the employees, and gave them her drawings of them. They had been colored in and lightly outlined in pencil. “Here you go.” She said, giving the last drawing to the last employee.

It felt like cold, skeletal fingers of fear and panic were creeping up his spine. Tempest's body was genuinely shaking with terror. Everything was pitch black; he could see nothing, wouldn't even be given the chance to know the deliverer of this fate. He sat there for what seemed like an eternity, dread making him feel sick to his stomach. Suddenly, an odd mechanical noise echoed through the room, and if he'd perhaps have lived a normal life, he would have known it as the sound of hydraulic pistons. However, he most certainly hadn't, and therefore the unfamiliarity of the sound only served to drive him further into his terror. The boy's breathing was fast and ragged. The noise grew louder, then, as the shackle on his right arm abruptly released, something cold and metallic clamped onto that same arm, thick bands of metal closing down, one above the elbow, one below, pulling it up and out and forcing it straight. He jerked away, but his left arm and his ankles were still shackled to the chair, and the chair was bolted to the ground. Tempest did everything in his ability to free himself, but he wasn't able to use his powers and was stuck fast, the clamps refusing to let go of his arm. The sound echoed again, and this time, something harsh, sharp, and cold was driven from between the restraints and straight into the vein of his arm. A loud, horrible scream emitted from the thrashing boy as something that burned like liquid fire flowed into his body.

Kaida, in her human form once again, was sleeping on a bench. During that bus ride earlier, she had stayed in her dragon form pretty much the entire time. Some Outsiders probably gave her awkward stares during the ride, but she had ignored them. She was having the time of her life back there, and she wasn't gonna let anything ruin that experience.

Loni was just minding her own business, eventually kinda... floating over to the pastries on display. After looking for a bit, she grabbed a piece of this yellowish bread with icing on top, then went back to where she was sitting before. She grabbed a sizeable chunk, biting into it. She paused for a second. This was SO GOOD. She took her time eating the sweet bread... She wanted to properly savor this experience.

Although 7 was tempted to try the sweet bread she stayed near the entrance of the shop. Did the others not see the outsiders swipe plastic cards or turn in green papers first? No one else just strode up and just grabbed one without doing so. She assumed they were 'paying' and that the cards and paper were forms of money. The money was also probably redistributed to the employees for their own personal user later on. 7 started to grow an understanding of the economy.
Although inside the shop was plenty fascinating, she couldn't help but nervously glance outside every now and then. She didn't trust that the masked man had only sent 1 party after them.

Mausu was on Marusaki’s shoulder, as she talked to the employees of the Starbucks. “What do think of the drawings? Would they be good enough to sell?” She asked, as she sat down with Mora.

19 was motionless, his mind blank. He sat in a chair, slumped over, his body limp, supported only by metal restraints. Everything was foggy, like he was only half living. He didn't know who he was, how he had gotten here. It didn't matter, however. A singular purpose fluttered through his mind, a command, a mission: Obey. And so he would. The lights flickered on. He didn't move. Footsteps sounded, and presently a form appeared in the fog that was 19's sight. The form was blurred, and the boy's head was still hanging down like a doll's, as he hadn't moved an inch. The shape moved closer, then appeared to kneel down in front of him. A calloused, harsh hand grabbed his chin, tilting his head up. As the face moved closer, 19 was finally able to make out that of a black haired, greasy-looking, thin man. The second he made eye contact with the boy, he grinned horribly and turned his head over his shoulder and back out of focus, calling to an unseen party, "We have success." A moment later, the restraints gave way, and the boy fell forwards, slipping soundlessly to the ground. "Stand up," the man barked with cold amusement in his tone. 19 did so immediately and robotically. He stared straight ahead, his eyes gazing emptily into the distance. If someone were to look at him from the perspective of one not involved in the procedure, they would have been chilled to the bone; his blank eyes were wide but his face was relaxed, and his pupils were no larger than a pinprick.

5 shrugged, not really paying attention to Marusaki. By now, the napkin had become a tiny pile of torn up pieces. She wanted to ask the others what to do, but she didn't want to take control. 5 was smart, she knew that she'd only seem bossy if she did. But she couldn't just sit here while the Masked Man prepared the Community for what could be a slaughter. She had no idea how powerful the Outsiders were, what if they could destroy them all? Meanwhile, the Starbucks employees were starting to get angry. "Ma'am, you can't just walk in and take things. You need to pay for that." 5 groaned. Again? What were they doing this time?

1 laughed and looked into the darkness. "What are your orders, sir?" The voice responded with, "Send him after the group while we make the final preparations for our army. Once he finds them, we can launch the attack. We will purge the world and make it perfect like the Community, ending the blemish once...and for all."

Without a word, 19 turned and stared cooly at 1. He knew innately that he was not to leave on his own, and it wouldn't do to wait around. The numbers were running through his head already; 5, first and foremost, and then 4, 7, 9, 10, 11, 12. The directive was simple; he was to kill them. Once he was escorted out of the room, building, and Community itself, he immediately set off for the city, his gaze still cold and unfeeling. Though his vision was completely blurred, the boy knew exactly where he was going. They had to be made to pay. No one disobeys the Masked Man.

Marusaki dat down, not having taken anything. “Where should we go?” She asked, her head in her hands. She looked at Mausu, who was still on her shoulder in a mouse body.

Immediantly, 5 said, "We need to go back and figure out what happened. We need to try and stop the Masked Man. I honestly belive that what 1 said is true." She clenched her fist, shaking with anger. "I can't just sit here, knowing what he'll do!" She accentuated her last words by slamming the table, sending the little bits of napkin flying. Slumping in her seat, she muttered, "But I know 7's right. We can't just barge in, but it makes me angry to think about those innocent people." One of the employees was reaching for their phone, and the other was speaking to the two who had taken pastiries. "If you don't pay for those now, we're going to call the police."

“Sorry.” Marusaki replied, then telling the ones who had taken the pastries, “give them back! I think the ‘police’ that they are talking about are trouble.”

7 was eavesdropping on her fellows per usual. With "the police" being brought up though she slipped out of the shop. Whatever trouble they were going to cause wasn't worth staying she decided. Besides, if they got themselves into a mess they'd need someone to fish them out of it. She sighed and sat down on the curb at the edge of the side walk which lead to the starbuck's entrance. They still needed a place to stay for the night. Maybe the walmart boy would be generous if they expelained their situation, or just some of it. As for the masked man... well she didn't have a clue where to begin. She did know however to kill a snake you crush it's head...

19 finally came to the outskirts of the city. Without a word, he waved his hand in front of him in a harsh, whipping motion. The air solidified into a staircase, albeit reluctantly, and he climbed it to the top of a building. He didn't see the words emblazoned on the front of it, and he didn't care. The world was a blurry mess, but he somehow knew where he was going. Once on top of the mass of brick, which, in reality was a 7-11, though the boy couldn't tell, he continued the process of climbing buildings, walking through the air over streets, walkways, and patios, utterly unaware of the horrified looks awarded to him by the civilians beneath him who happened to glance up. Finally, he came to the top of a tall building, which, had he been capable of perception or observation, he would have known as a three-story apartment complex. He strode to the edge of the roof and glared down over the street at an establishment with a glass front. There, echoed one of the few thoughts he was permitted. Someone sat out front, and though he couldn't see anything else about them other than that they were a fuzzy, blurred, humanoid shape, he knew that this was one of the people he had been sent for. Sent to kill.

A sudden sense of foreboding crept upon 7 and twisted its steely claws of anticipation into her gut. She nervously looked about but saw nothing. Maybe it was the police? Whatever they were. Well they could deal with them, she figured trying to calm her nerves. It's nothing, forget about it. She pulled her knees to her chest and propped her chin on top wishing she could confide in her sky friends, but she dared not waste the little energy she had left. Although she guessed 1 and his small party of traitors were not going to be the only force the masked man had sent out to find them, she never seriously thought she would have another encounter this soon.

19 waited. This was only one. There were more, and they were likely inside that building. Once they all came out, and something told him that would occur presently, that would be the time to attack.
With a sigh of relief, Breeze finally dropped her bags beside the bed in the hotel room. Her mother did the same thing beside her, only silently and without complaint. They had flown in from Chicago that morning, moving here for her mom's job. Until they found an apartment to rent, they would be staying in this hotel. The girl flopped down on her bed, her brightly colored eyes dull as she stared at the ceiling. She was exhausted, drained, and miserable, not to mention lonely. None of her friends back home had really been good friends, or good people, for that matter, but at least they'd been around. Now, she was starting over, and she knew that her outward appearance would result in no one wanting anything to do with her. That was fine, though, she told herself. At least she had her mother, who, though she seemed to have absolutely no idea what to do with the rebellious child that she had for a daughter, loved her all the same.

Name: Breeze
Age: 15
Gender: Female
Description: 5’4’’, wavy black hair with a silver ombre, rosy pale skin, stunning, vivid, icy blue eyes, freckles, has a hummingbird tattoo on the outside of her right tricep at the shoulder, gotten without her mother's permission when she was 14 and the reason she was grounded for a month afterwards. Breeze wears a black, sleeveless turtleneck crop top, shredded black jeans, jet black sneakers with black laces, multiple piercings in each ear, and a black paracord bracelet on her left wrist, as well as black mascara and eyeliner. From the side, she appears very similar to this, just with a different tattoo and style of shirt.

Echo had a sudden sense of foreboding— and it hurt, like hellfire. She clawed at her stomach, hoping the pain would stop, but it didn’t. She cried out in agony, before hiding in the shadows, not wanting to be attacked by that something— or someone
