"Hand over the kingdom? I doubt any emissary could do that." Olya scoffed. "Even with some 'great evil dragon' they'd better think twice eh? Sounds like the stuff of fairy tales." She obviously did not believe any of it.

Ephina shrugged. "I've not been able to hear much, people don't like talking with me. But I do remember that-" she paused, glancing at her husband before speaking in a slightly choked voice, "Tazu telling me, before his accident about how this king is supposed to be a warlock of some kind. You never know, it could be real."

"Can't argue with that," he said. While one knight stayed behind, the other led Sebastian into the castle grounds. "Welcome to IronForge Castle, kid." He led him through the halls rather quickly, stopping at a pair of doors guarded by knights. Turning back to Hermes, he said, "Give your message to them and they'll take it to the king."

The knight frowned, glanced torwads the door, and opened it. Hermes would be able to see the King, a taller man with a beard and tired eyes, standing across the table from a hooded figure. The knight who had led him here whispered, "That's King Sirius, the one with the beard. The hooded figure is King Hanfad, the one with the hood. You're a lucky kid, not a lot of people get to see this." The knight approached the king, whispered something in his ear, and then walked out, closing the door behind him, not before the king noticed Hermes and gave a small wave before the door closed completely.

Avari looked thoughtful for a few moments. "Some kind of dragon, you said? Hear me out here, what if Tazu's disappearance has something to do with that dragon? What if he knew something that could protect the kingdom from certain invaders, and those invaders wanted him gone?" She held her hands out to the side in an awkward shrug. "It's worth thinking over."

Tazu sighed. "It's the best reason. I can't help but think that the answer is in the forest, but maybe that's just me." Ephina shrugged. "I have no idea. I tried talking to some of the knights Tazu knew when he was one of them, but it's all just blank slates."



There was a loud sound of a hammer, meaning that someone was posting a notice nearby.

The kid walked out of the castle. "I should find something to eat" He waved off the knights and headed into town.

Ephina went to the door and opened it. "What's going on? Did you hear that?" As she opened the door, it was clear to see that there was a crowd of people nearby. Ephina opened the door all the way so that they could hear above the noise, and helped Tazu near the doorway so that he could as well.

"Here Ye, Ere Ye!" The town crier said. Standing atop a raised platform was a young man with floppy red hair, dressed much more cleanly than the townsfolk. In his arms, he held dozens of parchments, and there was one attached to the board. "King Sirius is announcing his allying with King Grevin of the Kingdom Grym. All of his knights will be regularly seen around the kingdom as they work out the final details, so do not be alarmed." For a minute, only to the keenest of eyes, a red flash could be seen in the crier's eyes. "Everything is under control." Without a word, he got onto his horse, and, joined by the other knights, rode off into the crowd, that dispersed quickly to clear the way.

"Hermes!" Serena was running to catch up with him. She glanced around nervously but then turned back to him. "Ichon's gonna kill me if he founds out that I ran, but I had to find you. I looked everywhere, but didya hear about what just happened?"

Avari laughed as she listened to the announcement. "They expect us to believe that? Pfah!" She seemed almost put off by the sudden cry, and her eyes betrayed she had seen something wrong. Shifting a little, she glanced to the windowsill, where a certain plant she knew was sitting. "Hey Olya? Have you ever seen a drunk fox?" She grinned, looking backwards at Gerrin. Momentarily, she seemed to have forgotten about the crier and his sudden announcement.

Olya frowned as she leaned out of the door way, "Some coincidence Tazu comes back and now they say the kingdoms made peace eh?" She sighed, "and with so little reason as to why. I don't like it."
Olya retreated back inside the shop and shook her head at Avari "No, never."
