She shook her head, horror beginning to churn through her as she
turned to the circuit board, flinging it open, then slamming it
shut as she saw there was nothing inside. "There was one point
where the lights went out and I heard noises, but Kate said she had
just stepped on a wire..."
Fear roiled in her belly. The word "traitor" flashed through her
mind; she didn't even want to contemplate it. One of the Pokemon in
this room was a traitor. Kate made her suspicious, yes, but she
doubted that the Latias would go as far as stealing the plates
while they slept.
"Urgh! No!" Mystin backed against the wall. "I'm not going to fail
Arceus! Not like I'm failing you, and Blitz, and Temperance!" He
was starting to panick. "Why would someone take them? Why?"
Unable to contemplate an answer to the Articuno's question, the
Lugia continued searching. She was surprised to find herself
relatively calm; she knew that she had been vigilant, that she
hadn't fallen asleep. She knew the time frame this must have
happened in. All she had to do was keep her mind off of the fact
that one of these legendaries had betrayed them until it made sense
to begin to wonder about it. If she didn't, she thought she might
loose it and storm off again, the idea infuriated her so.
Meka had gotten off Mystin, leaning against the wall, squishing her
fur against it. Someone had stolen the plates?? She glanced at
Riko, still fast asleep. It seemed Zacian hadn't yet realized what
was going on.
Kate exited the building. She had used her illusions to appear a
blue eyed, blond haired teenage girl. Think Stacy the popular high
school kid vibes. She was looking for a certain dragon turned
human. Where is he?
Xaiver kicked a trash can, then immeadiently regretted it because
his foot was still broken, and his howl of pain was attracting
looks from other people.
After turning the room upside down, the Lugia slammed the shelf she
had been inspecting against the wall with a hiss. "Nothing," she
muttered. She was beginning to loose her cool now. How had this
happened in such a short time?!
Kate in blond form rushed over to Xavier, relieved to hear his
voice again. She rushed to the trash can, plates at her chest. "Are
you okay?" She looked nothing like herself, yet her voice was
unmistakable, and she was carrying his treasure.
She smirked. "Happy birthday. Also. Heal pulse." She wasn't sure
how well it would work on fractures bones, but it was worth a shot.
She directed her power toward Xavier through the hand she'd placed
on his arm
Mystin exclaimed angrily, "Not really helpful right now,
Shock!"
Xaiver retorted angrily, "If it was my birthday, then Kyrem would
be in rule, and those legendaries would be gone." He sighed with
relief. "I'd forgotten what healing moves feel like."
