She stuffed a Poke doll into the cardboard box with the plates,
then another, and another, burying her stolen goods with stuffed
dolls. "I'll just clean these up," she said with a slight laugh, as
the keepers of the store may be in for a slight shock to find their
entire stock of dolls on floor one, scattered everywhere. As soon
as it was full, she took the elevator to the front door
Her eyes followed the departing Eon Pokemon, their depths cold. She
stepped forward to ask if she could help carry the box, but the
doors of the elevator closed before she was able to.
Settling down beside the elevator once more, the Lugia dug her
fingernails into her skin in an effort to force herself to stay
awake, realizing that she was more tired than she had originally
thought.
The Lugia glanced up at the Lunala and shook her head, the
suggestion feeling a bit like a jibe, though she knew it likely
wasn't meant in that sense.
"I don't know, sometime around 6 in the morning?" she said to
Mystin, irritation slightly edging her tone, though it was barely
perceptible. Tidal could tell that she was starting to become
irritable due to hunger, but now wasn't the time to remedy that.
She felt a small pang in her chest. There's only one Pokemon who
ever has, she thought, sadness threatening to well within her.
The Lugia brushed it away, forcing herself to focus on controlling
her hunger instead.
Mystin stood up and stretched his arms. "Well, I for one am
starving. So...Yeah. Imma go get something to eat. You want
anything?" He looked around. "By the way, where are the plates?"
Cold, sickening panic immediately coursed through her. "You don't
have them?" she said, her eyes widening. She tried to force herself
to remain calm to avoid alarming the others, hoping that surely the
plates were nearby, but this just made her voice come out sounding
strangled.
Mystin frowned. "I just had them when I went to sleep. I swear I
did." Mystin ran his fingers through his hair, eyes wide with panic
as he tried to think. "I didn't do anything to them, did I?"
"While you were asleep? No, you haven't left the basement, or even
really moved from that spot, despite being quite vocal," she said,
standing up and quickly moving to search through the stack of
cardboard boxes and behind the water heater.
