Hotara scrambled out of her duvet, landing on the ground with a thud. Her hand slammed onto a small black journal, the other rolling a pencil towards her. After some fumbling, she began to flick through the pages. Graphite to page, grey lines were marked on the paper as she scribbled some words. They appeared to be reciting what she saw in the dream in shocking detail; it even included a sketch of the strange man with the long nose in the dark room. There was a sketch of the cell she was in too, everything in vivid detail. She closed the journal in one swift movement, slowly placing the dark book back where it was. Letting out a huge sigh, her eyes flickered open and shut. After a monstrous yawn, Hotara pushed herself up.

Tith woke with a slight grumble, her thoughts caught on last night's dream. It was a rather strange one - though she was already forgetting some of what the man had said. She swung her legs over the side of her bed and stayed there, staring at the floor, which was covered in horrible, dirty grey carpet. She usually didn't get dreams or nightmares - a result of her not sleeping enough. Shaking her head and laughing, she stood, sliding on her jacket. For some reason, she always slept in her clothes, including shoes. Perhaps it was so that if ever anyone came to her house, she was ready to run. Either way, she was practically ready for school after stuffing a Breakfast Bar into her mouth. An almost disgusted glance was cast around her shack before she shoved open the door and went outside, breathing in the polluted air.

While the weather was perfect,the sound of exhaust fumes and the beeping of multiple vehicle horns completely overwhelmed the birds' chirping and the wonderful sounds of nature. It was rush hour after all. The school was open and several students could be seen also making their way towards there. There are several means of transportation available for the students to use,since they also have a special card which reduces the fees of said transportation using the bus,the underground and so on.

Given a some minutes, Hotara was at Shibuya Station. Pushing her beanie up, the noises of Japanese students and workers whirred around her. Putting a hand against a dark stone wall, she checked the clock and train schedules. She took a seat on a green bench, taking her phone out and yawning. It would be a little bit until the train arrived, so the student sat patiently.

Derek awoke with a jolt, his head slamming against the wall, his feet pressed against the bottom of the too-small bed he lay in. "God da***t!" His hands went to the top of his skull, pressing against the point of pain. Gritting his teeth, he punched the wall. Lightly, so that it didn't break and come out of his paycheck. Grabbing his phone, he unplugged it from the wall and checked the time. "I've still got enough time to be ready." Sliding out of bed, he set down his phone without unlocking it and headed for the shower after grabbing a few articles of clothing to put on once he had cleaned himself.

Unlocking her phone, Tith sighed, knowing she would be late. She scrolled across, and a look of confusion spread across her usually stoic face. An app she didn't recognise - an app she had never downloaded - was there. Strange... Shaking her head, she slid her phone back into her pocket, before swinging a leg over her motorbike, which was leaning on her shack. She revved the engine once, before driving into the road and towards the school.

The other students in the metro station kept chattering,almost gossiping, about the teachers and the principal. While everyone had received their books from the school and they knew which classroom they were assigned to,no one really knew who their homeroom teacher would be so they just judged by their appearance. The next train didn't really seem to have that many people and traffic in general calmed down while exiting Shibuya to get to Aoyama Itchome,where the school was located.

Watching the train roll up to the platform made the sleepy girl sigh with relief. Taking a seat and pushing her beanie back, she opened her phone and eyed the strange app. A curious black and crimson icon, one that sent chills down her spine. Could be a virus. Hotara frowned at the predicament, ending up ignoring it and pushing her phone back into her sweater.

Derek, having cleaned himself up and gotten dressed, finally fogged up to the station, right on time. Slipping into the train, he glanced around the area then sat down. "Hey." He offered a friendly greeting to the student he'd sat down near.

Hotara eyes widened for a split second, her pupils hesitating until they found themselves on Derek. Her gaze traced up and down him. “You’re from Shujin too?” She muttered, forgetting how a conversation worked, if she ever knew in the first place. Her white hair trailed messily on her shoulders and ran down her back, her hands in her sweater.

Derek smiled, his friendliness practically making him shimmer. "Yep. Looking forward to school?" He shifted his satchel on the side of his hip to his lap, digging through it while awaiting the other student's answer. His phone buzzed, and he glanced at it before dropping it into his bag along with the rest of the items that lay inside.

Hotara slouched. “Wish I could say I was. Didn’t sleep great last night.” She considered mentioning the strange dream she had, however it was nothing out of the ordinary considering her hobby. Her hair hung over her eyes for a moment, her hand passing over the locks to part them. She didn’t seem uncomfortable, which could be interpreted as Hotara enjoying Derek’s company.

"You too huh? I didn't sleep great either. Hit my head when I woke up, so that was great too." He chuckled a little, seeming to find himself a little funny. "I also had a dream I got arrested or something, so that was kind of disturbing." He leaned back in his chair, rubbing his eyes.

Dream. The word resonated with her. Dream where they got arrested. A dream where— “Yeah, me too!” The words broke out before she even thought about them, the messy student’s face lighting up a bit. She had a small smile on her face, her gaze full of meaning when Hotara gazed back at Derek.

Derek leaned forward again, a big smile on his face. Waggling his fingers at her, he whispered, "Maybe we have some sort of telepathic connection!" His smile grew a bit, then he leaned back a bit. "I'm kidding. Unless?" He was teasing her, but in a friendly way.

Hotara realised she hasn’t introduced herself, in a fabulous moment of ADHD. “Yeah, haha!” She let out a nervous laugh, fully knowing she had no idea what was just said. “I’m Hotara Fuyuko, by the way.” She tried to smile, but her mind faltered and the air became awkward for a moment.

Derek smiled, then offered his hand for a hand shake. "Derek Styn. Pleasure to meet you, Hotara Fuyuko." His right hand was held in front of him, but his left was trembling slightly, resting by his leg splayed out on the seat. It was clear he was biting his tongue a little, although the reason wasn't clear.

Unbothered because everyone has their strange quirks, she met the handshake stiffly. “Weird name. Where did you come from? It’s certainly not a Japanese name.” Her voice was light, edged with curiosity. Stifling a yawn, she looked down, her gaze resting on her shoes.

Derek settled his hand after the shake, then said "I'm that obvious huh? I'm and Icelandic transfer student. My parents said I studied too much for my little town, so they sent me off after I learned English and Russian." He dug through his pack again, then nodded slightly as he found something, removing his slightly quivering hands from the satchel.
