Ever the shy yet classy loner, Edelweiss may not be one to put up with nonsense, but she’s not one for confrontations either. The faintest hint of a fight usually has her mind turning for a way to get out of it. She hates the metropolis, opting for the countryside, but hates being confined indoors. Ever heard the expression ‘actions speak louder than words.’ You’ll find that it suits Edelweiss perfectly, with her quiet voice and even more bashful demeanor. She’s actually quite sweet and is blessed with an unnaturally strong sense of compassion, but her prickly exterior drives people away from her; a porcupine’s main defense is its thorns. Despite her rather meek first impression, this gal is not without teeth. You can push her but only up to a point, where she too will fight back with tooth and claw. She hates being confined, cornered, and is remarkably active. She has since adapted to a flexible and open mind, refusing to corner herself into one way of thinking, always exploring new pathways, whether or not they were explored by someone else. Along with that bashful demeanor comes a general assumption of innocence. The truth of the matter is is that Edelweiss sees more than you think. She … listens well, her ears and eyes always aware, and relentless honesty can be one of the most salient examples of her sheltered upbringing, much as she tries to deny it.
Having been raised in the surroundings of plush, she is very self-conscious about her appearance and her attitude, which has manifested itself into self-deprecation and vanity. To her, perfection is the most volatile myth; unachievable, and completely unheard of. For all that was said, Edelweiss has a benevolent nature and a buried instinct for motherhood. She openly lends a caring ear and an extra hand to others in need. Her sense of humor is unbridled, shimmering like lights in the night, and it’s not uncommon to hear her quietly humming an upbeat tune. Even her normal frown is twisted upwards in a smile, most of the time. For such a free-lancing spirit, Edelweiss is very much a girl of few words; wild yes, but reserved and reticent about her feelings. Whether or not this stems from growing up with only her thoughts for company, or because she is truly oblivious to her internal feelings is something that cannot really be discerned.
Appearance:
Edelweiss stands at 5'5, which is average for her age, with very pale skin and pale jade-green eyes with flecks of grey. Her long russet hair falls down to her ribcage, elegantly highlighting her face. Her build, despite being petite, is relatively alluring with an hourglass shape. However, there are semblances of muscle that have built up from exercise on her legs, allowing her to run very, very fast. On the nape of her neck is the fox tattoo that hides her familier in the passive state.
