Harper - The Houndoom barks again, making the Proffesor look up from her screen. She stares at the Houndour, then at you. "Really? But you're... Not healed yet." The Houndour barks again, and Proffesor Palm sighs. "Alright, fine. Erm... So, this Houndour has decided it would like to be your partner. If you accept, then... Well, you had better take goood care of it." She looks stern, as if to say that if you don't take good care of it, she will not hesitate to rip your head from your shoulders whilst you sleep.

Cadmus - The Ekans attacks again, but this time at you. It springs towards your berries, it's mouth open, as if to grab them. It misses, though, and it's head smacks into your arm. It lunges at you again, but this time it was dizzy, so it was rather off balance as it sailed through the air. Yes Ekans can fly now.

Sydney - A shadowy figure watches you from the roof, but before you can tell what it is, it disappears. You see a crumbling concrete sign with the words 'Rou e 1' written on it. One of the letters has been smashed. A Boltund dashes across the street, disappearing around a corner. A couple of Patrats glare at you from the other side of the road.

"Oh. We're already at Route 1. Want to try and find a new team member, Elekid?" she asks Elekid. "Elekid!" he responds happily. He wants to try and make some new friends on their journey. Sydney walks into the tall grass. What will she and Elekid find? She doesn't know.

Sydney - Whilst walking through the grass, you see something that looks like a pokeball. A moment later, you realise it is flat. It shifts, revealing a circular pink mouth and large, black eyes.
A wild Foongus appeared!

It stares at you for a second, as if deciding whether to attack or run.

"Alright. Elekid, time to shine! This is our first battle, so try a Quick Attack!" Sydney exclaims. "Elek!" Elekid replies. He uses Quick Attack on the Foongus.

Sydney - The Foongus falls over, befire jumping back up and using Stun Spore. It looks slightly angered now.

Elekid was paralysed!
Foongus has 68% health left!

Harper - "Good." Proffesor Palm's expression lifts. "Well then, congratulations! Your starter is a Houndour, with a slight injury on it's right arm. Don't worry - it shouldn't affect it too much." She smiles at you sweetly, before handing you six pokeballs, two great balls, three Oran Berries and some sort of antidote. "This is four Houndour's injury. It knows how to use it." The Houndour nods at her, then you, and hops to your side. "Alrighty... Well, you can start your journey now. Uh... Have fun?"

Itsuki - Proffesor Palm finally notices you, and waves you over. "You're probably also here for your starter. Step on this pad," she gestures to the orange circle, "And your starter will appear... Somehow." She smiles at you reassuringly.

Harper - The second you step out of the room, the door closes. You only manage to walk a few paces before the rain starts. You see a boy battling an Ekans nearby, and hear a girl battling something else not too far away. The rain is light, so you can still see everything clearly, but it soaks through your clothes. A herd of Swadloon crosses the road in front of you.

The weather turned to rainy!

Harper - The Swadloons are followed by a Leavanny, who looks worried. She turns to you for a second, before continuing to hurry her Swadloons along. Approaching from where they came from, a Spinarak hisses. It seems to be following them, and is catching up. It spits poison at the Leavanny, and continues to follow. It stops when it reaches you, though, and turns to your Houndour, still hissing.

A wild Spinarak appears!


Itsuki - Proffesor Palm tilts her head at you. "Are you cold? Or just... Nervous?" She seemed concerned, mostly because she was warm, and this person was noticeably shivering.

Cadmus turned to look at the Deino, "Use Tackle!" He ordered the pokemon, watching as it prepared to use the move.

"Elekid! Are you okay?" Sydney asks Elekid. "Elekid!" he reassures her that he's okay. "Alright, then use Thunder Shock!" "Elek!" Elekid is spinning his arms, trying to charge up. Once he's fully charged up with electricity, the area between Elekid's horns shines red instead of the regular whitish-blue. "Huh? That's not how it is normally. What's going on?" Sydney asks herself. "ELEKID!" Elekid suddenly exclaims, using his Thunder Shock on the Foongus. "Alright. I can't worry about that forever."

Harper - The Leavanny glances at you, thankfully, and continues hurrying her Swadloons along. The Spinarak hisses again, before using String Shot.

Itsuki - Proffesor Palm gave her an unbelieving glance, before saying, "Now. Please step onto the orange pad, and... Yeah. Your starter will appear. One way or another." She smiles.

Cadmus - The Ekans recoils, clearly injured from the attack. It slithers up to Deino and whips it with it's tail, before again using bite.
Critical hit! Ekans has 46% health left!


Sydney - The Foongus jumps back, but the attack still hits it. Apparently, this pokemon has no attack moves - only powders. It brings it's head back, before spraying a purple Powder into the air.
Foongus used Poison Powder!

Why is this street such a trash heap?! Amelia thinks as she keeps running- only to almost trip over an empty soup can. Both mad and a little bit disgusted, she kicks the can out of her way before she continues sprinting toward the lab. She was definitely late.
