They soon reached the restaurant. There was choices of relatively
normal food, while also a selection of tropical food, just order
and they’ll bring it to you, no charge
It was definitely dark magic, Audax successfully casted Flux!
Audax sat down, a little tired from casting the spell. So far he'd
only been able to do one per day... tommorow, maybe he'd ask Thea
if she thought he was ready to try two noxs or something like that?
He didn't want to over exert himself or mess up the dark magic.
"Oh, wow!" Fortem said, looking at the menu. "Lets see here..." He
browsed the rows of food. "Think they have a special or something?"
He asked Emerald
"I don't know what to get," Fortem announced. "It all sounds pretty
good! What are you getting?" Fortem looked to Emerald for
advice.
"Hmm..." Audax wondered a lot of things. Were all forms of magic
generally used for attack, defense, or healing? Those were all the
ways he'd seen them used. Were they all physical things? Thinking
like this made Audax happy, since it meant he had something to do;
some purpose for at least a little bit. It was a good decision to
join the school of magic. He began trotting home, his bag scraping
the ground as he padded along.
"...I guess I'll just ask for recommendations from the servers and
chefs," Fortem decided, as they waited. "But..." He tapped a claw
on one of the typed lines on the menu: A mago berry smoothie. "I
think I'll start with this." He smiled.
This time between day and night always made Audax think: What
eeveelution would he evolve into? It didn't really matter to anyone
really, but it was fun for him to ponder, and a little stressful
too, for an unknown reason. He carefully avoided stones, not
wanting to evolve by accident, and although it was his choice, he
had a hard time deciding, like with most things. He would probably
evolve into an espeon or umbreon just by chance, or have a run in
with an evolutionary stone, before he could make up his mind. With
a sigh, he plopped his bag down onto the floor of his little house,
and curled up on his bed. He would spend a night in this one before
trying out the balloon Remus had gotten him.
Emerald smiled as they ordered...
Soon they came out with two tropical platters as well as the drinks
they had ordered. Fortem’s one was a little bit different from
Emerald’s as it had same savoury snacks and treats too
Of course, Remus had delivered the balloon, it shone in the sunset
despite the black colour
"Oh, this is cool!" Fortem noted, noticing the nicely plated fruit,
some crackers, and various mysterious sauces. "Feel free to take
some of mine as well," He kindly offered Emerald, before taking a
bite of an exotic berry.
Audax yawned, tuckered out by the dark magic. He rolled over under
his black blankets (no, he wasn't emo, it was just a nice, neutral
colour), before dozing off.
“Of course, feel free to have some of mine too.” He grinned.
Dinner took a while...into the night. Of course, this was due to
Emerald sampling on things, and the chefs and servers kept bringing
out treats for them
"And this is all complimentary with our room?" Fortem asked alloud,
in awe. He took a bite of his desert, a berry flavoured creme
brulee. It sure was an expensive room, but wow, the service seemed
worth it. The topic of money made Fortem think about the future...
he had enough to support himself for a while from his family and
doing various jobs at the arena in luminia, but eventually, he'd
have to find a way to make more than that. He shook off the
thought. Now wasn't the time to stress out about random things.
“It was worth it!” Emerald said happily. “The food...the fun.”
Emerald giggled. “And the super balloons!” He was certainly looking
forward to pouncing on them again with Fortem
Fortem took his last bite of dessert, then leaned back in his seat
with a content grin and a satisfied sigh. "I'm stuffed," He
declared. "I don't know if I'll be hungry enough to even eat a
mouthful of breakfast tommorow!" It was only half a joke.
"Hmm? What?" Fortem asked. By this point, his orange fur matched
the sunset, which was in full force. He nodded thanks to as many
hotel staff members as he could.
The balloon emitted a loud squeak, and Fortem went wobbling with
it. Emerald giggled and did the same, making more wobbles as he
began to groom Fortem there and then
"Ahh... thanks!" Fortem murmured. "We should probably get to
sleep... Its harder when I'm in midnight form," He laughed. Hmmm...
one day he's have to research how this form shifting worked.
