“Nah everything’s fine really...” Emerald replied, still blushing
lightly. He sidled over to Fortem a little more and leaned on him.
“I don’t know why I’m blushing...”
"Maybe...you can develop it using your water magic! Make your own
signature spell!" Emerald said happily. "Skilled mages often have a
signature, personal spell!"
"Oh, maybe, that's not a bad idea!" Fortem thought for a moment.
"I'm definetely not skilled enough yet," He laughed. "But I can
change the shape of the splash a bit, like making it more of a beam
or an orb... a bubble might be possible if I work on it." He
bounced a little bit. "That brings us back to the topic of the
school... maybe we should try going some time soon?"
"I don't know how much I can help you with that... but I can try
to, if you want," Fortem said, pretty unaware, before realizing
Emerald had fallen asleep. He thought about the day for a moment
before curling up around Emerald and resting too, not asleep, but
just relaxing with his eyes closed.
Audax got up and stretched... he'd already completed his early
morning shift, and got up late... late for the school of magic? He
grabbed the heavy tome, which was half his size, making a comical
sight. Audax raced out the door- hmm... actually, he was told by
Thea only to come back in a few days... He could still head to
Slepnir park for some practice, though. Tap, tap, tap, his
paws thudded on the pavement as he trotted down to the park.
Fortem blinked open his eyes... where was he? Coming to his senses,
he noticed he was still in Hir's trampoline park! "Emerald!" He
nudged his friend awake. "It's already morning... Your dad's
probably looking for you." Fortem scanned the area, a little
stressed. Was Hiro here? That would be good... He himself was
actually going to start living in his own little castle room, so he
was hopefully ok with his parents.
Sleipnir park was very peaceful like always...it was early summer
now, after the incident
Emerald yawned and woke up. "It's fine...dad's not too worried. He
lets me roam a lot nowadays." He stretched. And bounced up, his
tail wagging. "I realised! It's summer! That means Carnaval is
coming soon!"
As before, Audax found a shady spot away from other pokemon, and
finally dropped his bag and heavy tome, which caught on his leg and
sent him to the ground as well. Accidentally pinned down by his own
bag... Audax laughed, before shaking it off, pulling out the book
and opening it. It was a little tempting to try reading the runes
on the next page, but he'd been warned that it could be dangerous,
so he simply flipped to page one, as per usual, and started
meditating. Finally, a situation where staying still and 'resting'
had a good use.
"Carnaval...?" Fortem thought for a moment. He'd heard that word
tossed around on various other summers, but he'd always ignored it,
or had a camp or club booked by himself or his parents. This time,
he decided to listen. "I've heard it before... but I don't really
know what it is..." Fortem looked down sheepishly.
Audax didn't give them much attention as he meditated some more,
clearning his mind. He'd gotten a timer out before hand to try and
track his progress. He was a knowledge lover to the core. After...
who knew how long, he took a look at the tome, as per usual, ready
to cast Nocturne if he could read the runes yet.
"Rioverde... The other island, right?" Fortem asked, thinking.
"Sounds like fun.... I've... never actually been, though, and not
sure I'd be great at dancing," He laughed. "I have two left paws
when it comes to that sort of thing."
