“All we have to do now is to build up the speed and confidence of
getting the attack out. The best way to do that, is using it over
and over. Of course, I’d advise you to attend lessons as a
beginners mage but they will become less mandatory the more skilled
you are.” Thea stated
“Tutelage can only get you so fad...the best learning experience of
all is by actually doing it.” She said. “That’s why from time to
time, you may be paired off against someone to fight.”
"Of course. All I can ask of you is to keep practising casting
Nocturne, and mixing in meditation with it. This is to bring your
proficiency with the magic up, and to be able to cast the spell
quicker. Time is key in a battle after all." Thea responded with a
flick of her tail
“Of course. You did really well...You won’t have to come back in
until...” She summoned a book out of thin air and looked through.
“...3 days. That’s when I predict you’ll be able to move on with
the next spell.”
Audax nodded, feeling a little proud of himself. "Thank you!" He
nodded, and walked out of the school. Hmm... where to now? Maybe he
should meditate a bit at Slepnir Park?
Audax's ears fluttered in the breeze as he found himself a nice,
isolated spot in the shade, both because he didn't want anything to
go wrong with the spell and have it hurt anyone else, and because
he'd had enough interactions with others for the day. He was
feeling a little socially drained, and needed some time to himself
to recuperate. Audax flipped open the tome to the first page, and
relaxed, ready to do some more meditating.
Audax opened his eyes after some meditating, and attempted to read
and chant the runes. Hmm... it was hard to tell with meditating,
but Audax thought that he'd seemed to do it quicker this time,
though maybe it was just wishful thinking. Audax ignored the
thought as he read out the runes.
The more Audax did, the quicker the orbs came. And the more
fluently he could recite the incantation. Thankfully there was
no-one nearby so the orbs launched and exploded harmlessly some
dostance away
Feeling accomplished for the day, Audax headed home to get an early
nights rest for tommorow's morning shift. He'd maybe return to the
park tommorow? He wasn't sure yet, but probably.
Fortem opened the door, and let the riolu in. "Hi Emerald!" His
tail began wagging. "My parents are on knight duty at the stadium,
so the house is empty."
