with item auctions, it would be a matter of people either having the patience to wait for the item in the shop, or paying the price in the auction, both of which are choices completely up to the user to make

much like with pokemon auctions, a person can either wait to snatch the egg up from the lab, or they can pay the money for the pokemon in the auction if they don't want to watch the lab or compete with other users (actually they're still competing but there's still the chance they can get it if they have the pd)

an economy-savvy buyer will know the prices in the shop, and if someone wants to pay a crazy price for an item because they don't want to wait for it to be in stock, that's their prerogative

item auctions most likely aren't something i'd use that often, but if there's people who would benefit from this, i don't see why i should not support and keep them from doing so :p

question can you buy gems in the shop? and can you sell gems for a resenable price see thats why i support this is because i want more fire gems and i want to sell off some of the other gems

I also support the idea, perhaps it is possible to add "buy-it-now" for a specific price, which expires, if a bid is placed. Sometimes you need items quickly or urgently.

or just add another section for straight-sale items.

@Redapple777 - Its impossible to buy gems in the item-shop and you can only sell them for 50 pokedollars xD and thx for the support everyone :D

ya so i want to sell them for more like there worth which is deffinatly more than 50 :P and i wan to buy them so you still have my support and i like the idea for straight sales that is a great idea it makes it seem more like you could have item shops like i'll sell these and buy these and stuff like that

I support this, but not really for the Shop items :P I mainly like it for the harder/impossible to obtain items (ex. specific Gems, Mystery Boxes, Keys, and the Gracidea flower).

I like this suggestion! It'll be a lot easier to get the items you're looking for. And it'll be like our own personal store in a way.

I was a little upset when I sold my items and they did not appear in the shop. I thought others would make good use of them but it never happened. Thus I support this all the way! Besides when you gift money to someone to buy an item from them, it takes taxes. My opinion it is not right but what can you do? In this situation people wouldn't have to gift money to others to buy an items from another or even keep a item thread up. I love it!
