Someone said there was no guide for the gem cauldron so as i had not started it yet i thought why not post my step by step process as i do it.



GEM CAULDRON

First off you need to repair the cauldron which costs 50,000 pokedollars

Once fixed you have the option to make fire stones, waterstones and leaf stones.

Fire stone

10 fire gems
2 ground gems
2 rock gems
4 normal gems

water stone

10 water gems
2 ice gems
2 steel gems
4 normal gems

leaf stone

10 grass gems
2 bug gems
2 psychic gems
4 normal gems

made fire stone which will be finished in 10 mins

you may be lucky enough to gain a Carbink egg if you wish to adopt it.

This one boiling opens up the thunderstone option.

Thunderstone

10 electric gems
2 flying gems
2 fighting gems
4 normal gems

did the thunderstone next.

Again this boil takes 10 mins to do.

@ Jacharias i saw that post but unfortunately it does not tell you how many boilings each set take in some cases and other small bits of information like the cost of fixing the cauldron to start with. So doing this as i go so there is nothing missed. if i am wrong in doing this i shall take the post down if that is needed.

NO new option so reboiled the thunderstone.

Third time of boiling thunderstone.

Fourth boil.

** there is no indication if the lower boiling’s will send me forward **

after four boils on the thunderstone it opened up the moon stone and sun stone.

Moon Stone

4 dark gems
4 steel gems
4 rock gems
4 ground gems
4 normal gems

Sun Stone

4 electric gems
4 fairy gems
4 rock gems
4 ground gems
4 normal gems


For this round of boilings I am am starting with the moon stone as I have no fairy gems

To boil either the moon stone or sun stone takes 20 mins for each boil.

Number of moon stone boilings to get next openings is five.

This is such a good and useful thread. Why take it down?? What the heck???


Time for boiling is very relevant information when you try to complete the Hourly Dream World Shop Tasks!! They reset every hour, and you only get Dream Points if you complete boiling process and pick up the Stone before the hour ends.


That other thread is so cluttered with useless information and personal stories..... that.... really, this one is the more informative one. ((Previous thread was a nice idea, but OP stopped updating the first post..... a lot of information is just... missing.))

Also people keep asking about Gem Cauldron in my Feed. So obviously that older thread is not really informing people....



So, to Recap
..................................................................boiling time

Fire, Water, Leaf, Thunder stone.........................10 minutes

Moon, Sun stone..............................................20 minutes

Shiny, Dusk stone............................................30 minutes

Dawn stone.....................................................1 hour

Mega stone......................................................2 days







This makes me think that it makes more sense to make Fire, Water, Leaf, Thunder stones to complete Dream World tasks.


tbh personally im not really concerned with the seconds you get to play the mini game before Gem Cauldron starts boiling. Because during those seconds, I'm so focused on getting the right gems in the Cauldron, that I don't even have time to look at the timer.

(I don't use any Incense and have not yet unlocked Mega stone)

okay so I unlocked Mega Stone. The mini game before boiling (getting all gems in the Cauldron) is easy enough, even for Mega Stone. The game gives you enough time, even without Incense.

Odd Incense reduces boiling time by half. It costs 5,000 pd and can be purchased at Item Shop, Misc items. It is one-time-use.

You can only purchase one Incense per day.

If you want to purchase 2 Incense, you will have to wait till the next day.


When you have incense in your item bag, and you start boiling gems in the cauldron, the incense automatically gets used up. You cannot choose to save your Incense. If you have Incense in your bag, and you start boiling gems in the cauldron, your Incense will get used.


Incense affects Boiling time. It does not affect the time you get to play the mini-game before boiling.

I recommend using Odd Incense when you boil Mega Stones. You don't need Incense for all the other Stones.

For the mega stone,

There is a chance it may not brew into a mega stone

It can also brew into a black mystery box or a black mystery key


If u get the box
Then oof cause it’s only worth 2-4k

If u get the key
then congrats! :D there’s no market price for this but it’s worth A LOT

And for a good reason that I discovered

ALL items from a black mystery box will be legendary or a legendary forme-change item

Tips for brewing mega stone (if ur a mobile user)


If ur phone is mini version like mine(actually this may also be for normal sized phones idk)


DONT look at the timer

Just keeping on clicking the gem icons

Last time I kept looking at the timer and I failed 5 times :(


Another tip that applies to all

Watch out for the poison and dragon gems!!! They look the same (I learnt that the hard way)
