Introduction
Castle of Light - The lord of the skies resides here, ruling over the kingdom with a steady hand. Knights in white armour live here, wearing capes/scarves or various colours which denote their ranking (Of course, that doesn't mean the normal populace aren't allowed to wear capes/scarves.)
Cloud Playground - Children are often escorted by their parents to come here to pass the time, various types of equipment are found here, all made from clouds! The clouds themselves which the playground is on is super bouncy also! There are designated areas to bounce on.
Anthian District - Your shopping area for food, battle items and other amenities are here! All for daily life in Luminia! Everything is affordable and for a good price. Life in the skies should always be affordable. One has to wonder how they get everything in stock though...
Fate Arena - A place to train and get stronger, sometimes winning items or clothing with special properties for yourself! (Oh...and to gamble and win money also but that's not advertised!)
Suburbs - Villagers of all classes live here. No exceptions. Some of the richer residents may have homes in more secluded locations, or even miniature floating islands. But even then, all the houses are of similar style. Whether it’s bungalows or storied-houses.
Heavenly Orchard - A great forest with many various berries here, they grow all year round. Residents are given a ticket for every season which allows an entry into the orchard to fill a basket of berries of their choosing. The berries here are often much higher quality than in the shops! And some berries you can't buy in the shops at all!
School of Sorcery – In partnership with the Castle of Light, this school was opened as an option for knights to incorporate magic into your attacks! However…it’s been noted that not many knights have the aptitude for spellcasting and fail to progress to the more advanced magic, and their technique for basic spells is often shoddy. That is natural of course, mana is still an extremely rare trait within pokemon. But it can be trained!
Hope’s Peak – The pinnacle of the heavens, clouds that which can be climbed on, similar to the of the Cloud Playground. It’s said that only those who have gained recognition from the Lord of the Skies can ascend this area…though no one really knows what goes on up there.
Sleipnir Park – The largest and only park in the whole kingdom of Luminia. Located near the suburbs and the Anthian District, citizens often go there to relax, just take a load off, and let time pass by. There were many types of trees that wouldn’t be seen on the ground below. One could say they could be a miracle altogether, a blessing from the skies, as most of them were very unique and vibrant in nature
Currency
Luminia and all the islands around it use a different currency known as the Luminian Real, the conversion rate is as such:
10 PD = 1 Bronze Luminian Real
100 Bronze Luminian Real = 1 Silver Luminian Real
50 Silver Luminian Real = 1 Gold Luminian Real
A grand castle which stands near the rear of the island, a grand blue castle which is the colour of the great sky itself. First founded by the first and current ruler of the kingdom, the lord of the skies, Tempest the Rayquaza. Under his rule, the kingdom has expanded greatly and has remained prosperous throughout the entirety of its existence.
Characters of Importance
Tempest I – Rayquaza – Lord of the Skies - The first monarch of the skies. Rules with a strong and steady but also a fair hand. Not many know him personally, but it has been speculated that his personality is similar to that of how he rules. Fair but strict. He has seen much throughout the years and had established this kingdom in order to build the first kingdom in the skies and to provide a safe haven from the events of the ground below. He has weathered many events over the years as ruler and has lead the knights, often personally, to defend his kingdom which he has built and adores with his heart. Though the latest incident has shaken him a little, especially with the near-death of his kingdom as well as many residents being dragged back down to earth. It’s possible he’s looking to retire and simply watch over the kingdom as a guardian to make sure it’s in order…but who knows. It’s hard to catch him, and it’s hard to know what’s on his mind.
Battle Theme: Venerable Ancient Battlefield ~ Suwa Foughten Field - ZUN
Dainn – Gallade – Peerless Blade - The captain of the Kingdom’s Knights, the Royal Guard. Has a no-nonsense attitude to anything he comes across, be it training, thievery, patrolling…and even shopping. Some may have described him to be as stiff as cardboard from time to time, which on the surface doesn’t faze him at all and seems to take it in stride. But, it does sting a little to him. Upon Tempest’s recommendation, he would visit Azure’s Relaxation Parlour, where he would always ask for the longest bubble session they had. He always does this in secret though, often visiting extremely early in the morning or ridiculously late in the nights, always the first or last customer. As such, he’s developed a soft spot for comfortable bubbles, and has struck up a friendship with both Yung and Azure, and Chiharu/Sachihiro the Mewtwo. (They haven’t decided on the name yet…and are contemplating on using both). He’s also developed a soft spot for the little Riolu, Emerald, Yung’s son, whom he regards as a ray of light during hard times, his cuteness and cheerfulness couldn’t be understated. Dainn has tried to make friends with some others and loosen up a little but some people have said that his stiffness may not be such a bad thing. Many children admire the Gallade for being a hero to the kingdom.
Battle Theme: Bright Saint Michael - Wanwan
Fortem - Lycanroc - Saintly Spirit - A Lycanroc who has the power to change form depending on the time of day...which he sees as a hindrance but lives through it. He lives with his parents who are both knights of the Royal guard. They are pretty strict on him and wants Fortem to become a knight just like them. However...Fortem really doesn't know what to do with his life right now, and on top of that, he dislikes fighting and seeing others hurt. As noted by many others who have interacted with Fortem, the most striking qualities that stand out is his empathy and kindness to other pokemon. Despite this, he has a strong sense of justice and chivalry, wanting to do right in all situations. He has a soft spot for Mago berries and loves making friends. During a recent adventure, he has made friends with Emerald the Riolu and Sachihiro the Mewtwo and the trio have a very strong friendship with one another. Emerald is looking to introduce Fortem to Remus...and to take him to the bubble emporium. Fortem has also made friends with Yung, who he sees as a father figure. In return, Yung does indeed think of Fortem as his own son, and will not hesitate to spoil him a little whenever he comes around to the parlour, always giving the highest quality bubble relaxation therapy for free. To put it simply, Fortem is well liked by the community.
Battle Theme: Rosenkreuz Boss - 撃戦
(This character belongs to LucarioLover99!)
Lumi - Glaceon - The current ruler of the kingdom. An inexperienced ruler who has been part of a crisis to save Luminia. She was naive, tomboyish, and wanted to see the world due to her sheltered upbringing. Her adventures with Emerald and crew have allowed her to be a bit more worldly, and her foresight has more then helped her group. Despite becoming ruler, she still hasn't changed much from the lively soul that she is. She secretly wishes she still has the freedom that she has when she was travelling with Emerald and crew. She is able to somewhat see into the future and is a skilled mage.
Towards the rear of the suburbs, with stairs leading down towards the base of the island. Where one would expect to fall through the clouds, there was an absurdly large patch of clouds which were solid! What’s more, the clouds never disappear. As such, it was the perfect place to set up a playground for children here! The clouds provided a soft fall, and were slightly bouncy also. Sometimes even adults would come to enjoy this place also, no one judges!
“Some children think we have our lives all sorted out once we become adults. Fat chance. We never really grow up really…I still don’t know what I’m doing, even after all these years.”
Important People
Bryant – Arcanine – An Arcanine who watches over the Cloud Playground, and make sure no one hurts themselves. He leads a small team who watch over the Cloud Playground and maintains the equipment. He has a kind temperament, and is often asked by those who are lonely to play with them, and he can be pretty playful also. It’s hard not to love him, and as such, most children are very protective of the malamute of a dog, and most adults adore him also, willing to help. Thankfully, he is pure of heart and doesn’t use his charm for manipulative purposes and genuinely loves the place he works.

The main shopping district of the kingdom, and as such it can get very busy during various times, especially in the morning and the evening. Many people also work here also, which contributes to how busy it is during those times, people entering and leaving the work. From groceries to games. From coffee to clothing. From battle items to beds! It’s all here, in the grand Anthian District! All the shopkeepers are sociable, some more friendly then others but all of them are willing to help out in some form or another! After the suburbs, this was one of the first places to be developed in Luminia, by the natives of the land, under Tempest’s watchful eye, and most shops are built with history in its walls, but with a nice modern twist. Electronic tools were only a recent thing y’know?
Important People
Noah and Sophia – The Kecleon Twins – The most famous shopkeepers are often a pair of Kecleon, and it’s no exception here! Noah is the regular coloured Kecleon, and Sophia is the shiny coloured one. The duo work together in the supermarket, which is by far, the largest shop in the district. Noah is in charge of the battling items, while Sophia is in charge of the general groceries. The duo work hard to keep stock levels high, and have hired others to help them. Noah, overall is very energetic and high-spirited, fitting for one who oversees the supplies for battle, while Sophia is calmer and kinder, and perhaps even a little reserved. Because of their jobs and livelihoods, the two are rarely seen apart, though they do have adventures of their own together.
Battle Theme: Final Fantasy 3 Battle Theme 2
Cecilia – Cinccino – Cecilia is the shopkeeper for the clothes store. With an eye for fashion like no other, she is an expert at recommending styles for everyone who asks. Her shop has a wide variety of clothing, from ordinary clothing to fancy suits to party costumes. All types of clothing for any type of occasion. She is very well respected by the community, as it’s been claimed by most residents, that she can make anyone look good, without a doubt. It’s said that Yung visits there during the less busy times…and it seems like he wants to keep it a secret?
Battle Theme: The Traditional Old Man and the Stylish Girl – ZUN
Summer – Leafeon – Summer the Leafeon is the beloved owner of the Café in the District. Very well known for being easy-going and sociable, with a light charm to her that can captivate if you’re not careful! She is very knowledgeable on all sorts of blends of coffee or tea, as well as light snacks for the day! There’s always someone visiting the café, after all, a refreshing warm or cold beverage can be enjoyed at any time of day up until the café closes for the night. It’s very popular by residents of all ages, for just a light snack to relax during the day or a cup to keep one going while doing work in the evening.
Battle Theme: Candid Friend – ZUN
Remus – Zoroark – Star Rocker - Remus the Zoroark can only be described in one word; Fun. He will show you how to have a good time and will always be seen with a cheerful smile, and often winks. He can come across as flirtatious, to both genders but he simply enjoys seeing other’s flustered reactions to when he’s hitting on them, everyone knows he jokes around in good spirit. To accentuate that personality further, he runs the party shop! He often greets people while sat on a jet-black balloon, lightly bouncing on it! The party shop is what you would expect, everything you’d every want for a party for any occasions. Balloons of all sizes, cards for all occasions, candles, streamers, party poppers, you name it! He’s going to stock it and will willingly order it if it’s not in stock. He runs the shop by himself, but he doesn’t mind. He often visits Yung and crew, to jokingly hit on Sachihiro and bounce on bubbles with everyone. Sometimes he even brings his jet-black balloon along to let Emerald and Sachihiro play with. He tries to get Yung and Azure to play with it also….like he does.
Battle Theme: Megalomania – Live a Live – Remixed by Gradioso
Hanson – Rhyperior - The owner of the furniture shop. Not including beds, that’s Emerson’s job. Former military, so he’s as strict as they come and has a forceful personality and loud too. He’s the main seller of furniture in Luminia and makes sure they are as high of a quality as possible. Gets along well with most citizens of the land, and treats everyone the same. As well as treat everyone with the same respect that they treat him. He is one of the few who has contact with the lower world, as he orders materials that simply cannot be gotten the kingdom. After all, wood and materials such as iron and steel as well as glass simply cannot be gotten from the skies. Of course, there are trees over at Sleipnir Park and Heavenly Orchard but those trees are special, sacred and they cannot be used, not that Hanson had any intention of using them regardless as he is proud of the kingdom, he grew up in.
Battle Theme:Pokemon Mystery Dungeon Boss Theme – DX
Emerson – Snorlax – The other owner of the furniture shop, though Emerson exclusively is in charge of the beds. Unlike Hanson’s strict personality, Emerson is very relaxed and easygoing. This often causes the two to butt heads against each other for their ways of doing things, ultimately however, it’s a partnership that can and will last and they acknowledge that. His more calm demeanour often leads customers to talk to him first, and it’s easier for him to hold longer conversations as a result. He is often the peacemaker when things go sour between Hanson and some other person. Like Hanson though he is proud of his furniture, and they are as comfortable as they come, no matter if it’s made with wood and lumber or whether it’s made of jelly.
Battle Theme:Pokemon Mystery Dungeon Boss Theme – DX
The prime area that people go visit to get stronger. You pay a small fee and you fight a specialised gladiator who will train with you for a short amount of time. This service is usually used by the knights but some of the citizens like to do a small bout from time to time to get fun. And refining your techniques and getting a little stronger isn’t a bad thing, right? Anyhow, people often come to watch as well especially during the more famous fights, as well as tournaments to bet on who would win. It is discouraged but it wasn’t illegal at least. This was also the place to meet famous celebrities as well, on some occasions. There were designated days for meet and greets and often they hold raffles on those days.
GOODBOUNCE – EBIMAYO – Regular Arena Theme
Important Characters
Dart – Zangoose – The arenamaster. Is the one responsible for organising matches, event days and bets. This shiny Zangoose runs this with a few other people but he’s the top guy in charge. Is crafty and sneaky but he’s always fair to the citizens. Only really plays underhanded on those who deserves it. He is very skilled at keeping the nature of the arena in check and has many contacts with celebrities. Is a very good talker and can be very persuasive if needs be, though he is normally quiet and brooding
Battle Theme:Pokemon Mystery Dungeon Boss Theme – DX
Brighton – Keldeo – Ocean Blade - One of the top gladiators in the arena, and is often one of the hardest ones to fight due to his speedy battle style. To close friends, he often goes by the name of ‘Bri’. You’d expect someone pretty rough around the edges and not a big talker, right? Not really! He’s a fairly cheerful and upbeat person and is very easygoing. Most citizens have come to respect the Keldeo for his chivalry and fairness in battle and his gentle nature outside of battle. He has had some confidence issues in the past but has since overcome them and has accepted his weaknesses. He has good friends, especially in Isa the Lunala and Zexion the Palkia, and he often writes letters to them, even if he doesn’t get replies from them occasionally. He can often be seen near the arena or in the café in Anthian District, getting his favourite blend of Sawsbuck Coffee.
Battle Theme: Senbonzakura off vocal – KuroUsa-P
The area where almost everyone lives. There really isn’t much to say really, most of the houses are very quaint, some bigger than others of course. But it really is quite a quaint community here. There are scuffles here and there but, in the end, the community looks out for each other, no matter how much prestige you have, no matter who you are. Just…don’t annoy everyone and everything is good. Some people set up more local shops here, these shops are often more for the enjoyment of the citizens.
Important People
Yung – Lucario – Azure Soul A citizen that has travelled back and forth between lands beyond reach. Wears a black cape and a moon charm on his ear. He is well known traveller and explorer in his prime days and has decided to settle in the kingdom above the clouds. A fan of bubbles and overall, anything that he could bounce on though, in recent years, he’s held his love back a little, though when in company of close friends, he lets his love shine through. A little-known secret is that he used to be human, and those who know him would know that he prefers his pokemon life over his human life. Has made many friends over his life and adores them all. (Though…he wishes some of them could enjoy bubbles with him.). Now he just wants a simple life in the clouds, living out and watching the clouds pass before him. He’s been described as one of the easiest people to talk to, and he is more then willing to listen to your troubles and perhaps give advice. Though...he misses his old friends dearly while living up here and often spends at least an hour each day...just staring at the clouds below. Sometimes tearing up.

Azure – Suicune – Easygoing Prodigy - An extremely lazy Shiny Suicune. Wears pink and blue lilies on his ears. That’s more or less to be said about him. He is extremely intelligent…when he decides to put his mind to it, this infuriates a lot of people especially due to the fact that he’s absurdly clever and can often think of a solution to most problems. He often has Yung to rein him in and they’ve supported each other throughout the time that Yung has lived in this kingdom. He runs a relaxation parlour near his home, which involves bubble massages, relaxing drinks and all sorts of other techniques. As proven by recent events though, despite being extremely lazy, he has proven to be a very capable leader and has more or less singlehandedly managed to bring the group who has fallen down to the ground back up to the sky. A local hero in a sense…but it doesn’t change the fact that he’d rather be napping on a bubble.
Meteors Illuminating the Night Sky -文件
Emerald – Riolu – Free Spirit - The cheerful upbeat Riolu that you can’t help but just fall in love with his antics. The son of Yung. Wears a seafoam-green scarf and a rainbow flower pin on his ear. It’s said that he’s a miniature version of Yung and that his spirit really passed along to him. He is often seen running about cheerfully and happily, living life to his fullest. His father had taught him how to create bubbles who he learnt from a Mew named Opal. He has found many friends after attending two schools on the ground and has enjoyed his time immensely, making many friends such as Winter the Alolan Vulpix, Shade the Umbreon and many more. He has also developed a strong bond with the headmaster of the school, a shiny Mewtwo named Typhoon and they have a father-son relationship, in his eyes. Emerald seems to be more physically strong when compared to his father but he still would love to learn magic and the many special attacks that his father has learnt.
Battle Theme: Great Fairy Wars ~ Fairy Wars - Remix by KASARI
Sachihiro – Mewtwo – Future Hunter - A Mewtwo who has lost all of his memories. He wears a long purple cape. He is a very well-mannered and kind person to most people he meets, even those who are intimidated by him. Yung and Azure took him in as family and he loves the family company. Has a strong bond with Emerald as well. The three aforementioned are all determined to give this Mewtwo as happy of a life as possible and they wouldn’t give him up for anything in the world. In return, he tries to have as many fun times with his family as possible, trying to create as many happy memories with them. He is in the process of opening up a shop called the ‘Psychic Bubble Emporium’, which is more or less the kingdoms first trampoline park. He is being aided by the three above.
Voile, the Magic Library - ZUN
A beautiful orchard that lays to the west of the Anthian District. It is full of berries and it mainly serves as a pick your own. Many rare berries are grown here in trees which can give health benefits or are just overall have more flavour then their more common counterparts. Due to this, every citizen has restricted access, only being allowed in once every few months, and only allowed a certain number of berries. To make this system work, this place has many knights patrolling at all times in all areas of the orchard. After all, there are many berries here that cannot be found normally, were you to go down to the surface. The trees here cannot be used for lumber, it is strictly forbidden considering all the rare berries that grow here. Who knows how long it will take to grow another tree like that? If it grows at all?
Important Characters
Trópica – Tropius – The shiny Tropius who is the matron of the orchard, leads the guards who are in charge of taking care of the orchard, and ensures every tree is kept up to a high standard. She is a kind person but can get very frightening when angered. One rule with her. Don’t hurt the trees. Don’t do anything to them. Or…prepared to be cut by a storm of extremely sharp leaves, or wind blades. Despite this, she is always willing to help those in need of help when deciding what berries to pick and can even function as an impromptu pharmacist with the berries. A very reliable person who refuses to take any flak from anyone, which is especially important in her role.
Battle Theme: September Pumpkin - Remix by FalKKonE
Berries
Tayn Berry – Sweet 15, Dry 5. – A long red berry that has nibs on it. Despite being a rare berry, it’s fairly unremarkable in terms of comparing its taste to other berries. The most notable competitor being the Kasib berry which is sweeter and dryer. Still though, it’s there if you want a sweet berry that has a slight dry kick to it which isn’t as pronounced as the Kasib berry. It is as sweet as a Mago berry after all.
Starleaf Berry – Sweet 60. – A white berry, that is shaped like a teacup. The actual berry itself is very small, serving as a container for the berry juice within the ‘cup’ of the berry. The ‘cup’ is covered by a ‘cover’ of sorts that needs to be peeled off to enjoy the contents. Easily the sweetest berry to have ever been discovered. Without a shadow of a doubt. When Custap berries just aren’t enough, here you have this berry! It is often used in extremely sweet teas, though it can be eaten normally. A certain Lucario loves this berry and grows a small tree in the garden of his house.
Java Berry – Bitter 15, Sweet 15 – A small berry, often red-brown. This berry is extremely odd from a glance but it is very valuable, especially for making coffee. Berries produced will often contain two seeds, which are referred to as ‘Java Beans’ The seeds are ground and then brewed to form coffee which citizens know and love. This berry can be eaten as a fruit as well, and it’s known for being sweet, while still offering a fair amount of caffeine. Most citizens do prefer coffee though, there are plenty of sweet berries to go around. Some take these berries home to make their own coffee
Heaven Berry – Sweet 40, Sour 10, Dry 10 – A large round sky-blue berry. It’s been given its namesake for the purpose of its powerful restorative properties. Said to heal more then any Sitrus berry could, and is often used as an ingredient for medicines to treat illnesses, that were thought extremely difficult to treat or nigh impossible. As such there are large trees grown in private sections for the hospital to treat and are well guarded. These particular trees are modified to produce a high number of berries all year around. The security system has been proven to be near-impossible to steal from, after the kingdom hired many skilled thieves to test the system out. (They were paid for their troubles). When not used as a medicine however, it is a very sweet berry, as sweet as a Custap berry, though it has an underlying sour and dry taste to it. As such, people (whenever they could get their hands on said berries!), often use this berry to make a very sweet lemonade. Called ‘Sky Lemonade’, this particular lemonade, made from Heaven berries, is said to be particularly uplifting and will cheer someone up whenever someone has it. Many people grow much smaller trees in their garden…but those trees don’t produce much. People do take good care of them, but it takes a skilled gardener to get a big harvest out of their trees. That is why they are so sought out, as shops don't usually sell them. If they do, it's at a high price
A recent building that has been built in the kingdom, with funding from the royal castle in partnership with the Royal knights of the kingdom. This school was divided into three schools: Anima, Light, and Dark. Knights aspire to train here to learn magic, though only those with mana get accepted. Mana can be acquired, but it’s very rare. The one thing that all of the accepted students have in common, is a desire to do good and to learn. Without them, you have no hope of learning magic in this kingdom. Most of the mages in the kingdom turn out to be peerless knights. The rest are often still respected people who are well liked. Each magic learnt has a rank to it. Most mages...don't tend to learn magic past C rank.
Headmaster Atlas - Alakazam - The Headmaster of the school. Wise and slightly mysterious. He can use all branches of magic and is adept at using them to boot. He is quite the old gentlemen, wise and caring, stern and mindful. As the headmaster, he created the curriculum and with the help of others, compiled a list of spells discovered and can be learnt by others. It's said he has seen a lot through his life, and continues to oversee the future
The School of Anima
This school is pure attack magic, control and harnessing of the elements. And the school to have the most branches compared to the other three. The five branches are Fire, Wind, Thunder, Water, and Earth. Most students who choose this branch as their primary magic, are simply referred to as Mages. They will choose one element to specialise in first, and will be referred to as a *element* mage. Anima Magic is said to be fairly simple to learn however, true masters of this type of magic will be able to harness the elements to wondrous effects, completely shutting down some attacks with a flick of their wrist.

Professor Conall - Lycanroc - The master of anima magic, and teaches all five branches. He prides himself as one of the best users of anima there is. He isn't wrong of course, he genuinely is one of the best, having mastered all five branches. Despite this, he never flaunts his talent to anyone else. Though he has said that if and only if you'd want to be a teacher of anima, you need to completely master at least one element. Even better if you have more under your belt. Teaches with strength and wisdom, and is always willing to guide you on the path. Compared to the other two heads of their respective school, he is easily the most approachable in terms of casual talk and is the most likely to talk about more normal things to you in terms of daily life.
The School of Light
True and pure faith. This school harnesses light and uses it to fight and support their allies. Their magic may be the weakest in the grand scheme, compared to the other two schools but it will always find its mark, being the most accurate. This school also teaches healing magic as well as support magic to support allies. Students here tend to become very devout, though, of course, it isn’t necessary to be religious.

Professor Ryn – Shaymin - The mistress of the light school. She cares very much for her students and is very fair in her ways of teaching. Emphasises the importance of faith when using light magic. A very kind and understanding individual who is always willing to listen to anyone’s’ and potentially offer advice, which she generally is able to do. Out of the trio, she is the most patient and kind out of the three. And is generally the one who you should go to, to get advice.
The School of Dark
Knowledge is power. That is the mantra that all dark mages follow, all seeking knowledge without losing themselves in their lust for knowledge and power. Possibly the most difficult type of magic to master and the most dangerous if things go poorly, but it is exceedingly powerful in the end. It isn’t uncommon to find students who are pragmatic and reserved in nature, quiet and brooding. That isn’t to say that they are unapproachable of course. They’re simply focused on their studies. This school focuses on the dark spells as well as afflicting ailments on their foes.

Professor Thea - Umbreon - The mistress of the Dark school, though she prefers to be called master. She is very strict and quite hard on her students, tolerating no nonsense whatsoever, as she knows the dangers of dark magic, after witnessing the effects of it going wrong (thankfully it wasn't one of her students). Outside of lessons, she is very quiet and brooding, one of few words and gets straight to the point. Is very realistic and isn't afraid to speak her mind. Out of the three, she is easily the most knowledgeable, knowing the works on magic that the other two professors can't pinpoint.
The highest mountain in Luminia. It is unknown what was up there as it’s said that only those of the knights as well as the king can head up there. It was said that this was where the fateful battle to save Luminia was held, though all that were involved were sworn to secrecy. It’s said that a wondrous view is up there, especially on nights with auroras, which you can touch the auroras itself. Special events are sometimes held up there, though it’s usually events to honour a single person at a time. It’s not really confirmed though…after all, only the honoured are allowed up there.
Located on the western regions of the kingdom, this is the largest park in the kingdom, green lands filled with trees with leaves of different colours. (Comparable to Hyde Park in London) Exudes a very relaxing aura and most pokemon that come here often are seeking to relax or do light exercise. Meditation and Tai Chi are often activities that citizens are often seen doing around here. Otherwise you may see pokemon having picnics, napping in the sun, just pleasantly chatting, and more. Students of the School of Magic are often told to come here to meditate, due to the natural and relaxing aura the park provides, plus you are very unlikely to be disturbed… It’s said that this is the place where natural mana runs the highest, so while fighting is forbidden in this park, it is rumoured that magic could be stronger here then it is anywhere else in Luminia
One of the most popular spots in the park is the large lake near the centre of the park, with an island in the middle. The water there is slow flowing and there is a charming waterfall at one point of the lake, which the flow is artificially maintained using the water from the lake, hence the ring like shape. Citizens often find themselves lazing about…just doing nothing. Especially in the spring where the petals from the tree blossom would fall into the lake creating quite the picturesque scene. It’s also the place where some pokemon like to marry, instead of the Chapel near the suburbs.

Sirius - Lucario - A shiny Lucario with the power to mega evolve. Works as a famous actor and is one of Yung's childhood heroes, someone who he looked up to.
Lucien -Lucario - A Lucario from the surface. Full name Lucien Greatsoul, though he has went under the name 'Aura' for a time. Considered a legendary hero by some, this Lucario was well known for his pursuit of strength. He is best friends to Yung, and the duo have stuck together thick and thin before Yung moved up to Luminia. In contrast to Yung, Lucien is much less excitable and is much more keen on fighting and testing his limits. Though it's to be noted that he certainly has quite the reckless streak, a streak that gets him into trouble all too often and so, it ends with Yung pulling him out of it. (Character belongs to A_BrokenAngel)
Soul - Absol - A black furred Absol who lives on the surface.
Prism - Necrozma - A Necrozma who is the son of Hikari. He is white and fluffy for a Necrozma. Currently resides in a small village deep within a cave and is working as an actor who has performed multiple roles which are friendly in nature. He has a fear of being left alone...and loves company. Hikari and Yung often visit. But it has gotten much more difficult for Yung, who now lives in the skies(Character belongs to A_BrokenAngel)
Hikari - Necrozma - A Necrozma who came to this world from Ultra Space. Has an extremely sweet temperament once you get her trust. Has an exceptionally strong bond with Yung and has had many activities together. Back then, they were often seen together, no matter what. It's said that she can be hostile to those who threaten Yung's life.(Character belongs to A_BrokenAngel)
Opal - Mew - A Mew who has many mysteries to him, who comes from the surface. Like Yung, he used to be human. Like Yung, he loves playing with bubbles...to the end, the two of them felt like only the other could understand each other on a more complete level. Normally, he is very upbeat and cheerful, enjoying playing around as carefree as can be. However, He is known as a Fate. He has judged the lives of many and has given some second chances at life. However...sometimes this wasn't well received and as such, Opal has had to endure abuse thrown at him despite his good intentions. As such, he has another side to him that is very morose, and serious, lacking any of the cheerfulness within him. Despite this, he hides all of it behind a false smile. That false smile is seen by everyone normally. The only who has seen and gotten a genuine smile from him is Yung(Character belongs to A_BrokenAngel)
Kuru - Diancie-Lapras - A unqiue pokemon who is the fusion of a Lapras and Diancie. Very sweet, caring and friendly, and knows how to make ice crystals from her hands. Emerald met her during the two schools that he went to and while he didn't interact much with her in the first school, he started taking more notice and started hanging out with her more in the battle school. It seems as though they share their love for bubbles... Because of Kuru's pure and friendly nature...It could be said Emerald has a crush on her...though he has been too shy to ask her out yet. (Character belongs to ChikoritaMining)
Heya, Author here~ I'll take over for this section.
I was thought of something silly...what if every character had a selection of quotes when dealing critical hits? Like in Fire Emblem? This as an example
Well here you are! Just something silly~

All in all, it was another normal day today. Another sleepy day in the kingdom. Most days were like that, the citizens lived freely as they pleased, preferring the peaceful life that the sky provides. Of course, if you wanted entertainment or something to do, the Arena was around the corner. And there were frequent organized events as well which had quite the variety. From art classes, to cooking. From concerts to meet and greets. Luminia really did have it all… Perhaps it was right to call it ‘Heaven’? For the living at least. And for those who lived there it certainly seemed that way to them. Mostly.
Now who were the four I mentioned? Of course, the four that I mentioned are a family who live in the suburbs. A Lucario, a Riolu, a shiny Suicune and a Mewtwo. An odd family, right? Yet their bonds are stronger than steel. Their names? Yung the Lucario, Emerald the Riolu, Azure the Suicune and Sachihiro the Mewtwo, Hiro for short. Right now, the quartet were just relaxing in the living room, reminiscing about past events
“It’s been a while hasn’t it? Since we moved up here?” Emerald asked
“It has been quite some time…” Yung mused while sitting on a bubble. In a sense they were all sitting on bubbles.
Hiro sat up, listening. “Hold on! So, you and Emerald haven’t lived here for long? Not since you were born?” He was surprised, after all, he had only joined the family recently under unusual circumstances.
Azure chuckled lightly. “Haha…I remember when the two of them came in applying for the assistant position I put up for the shop. They seemed like a spark so I took them in.”
Hiro looked at Yung. “Can you tell me how you found this place? After all, the contraption built to teleport people up here in the Forest of Beginnings was built after that incident… and you’ve been here for…?”
“Three years.” Yung replied. “How time flies…three years since I first moved up here. Well now, I don’t mind telling a bit about my past…I suppose I should reveal a little bit about my human identity too. You know that by now, correct?”
Hiro nodded.
“Alright then…where to start…let’s start with this…” He took out a picture of himself, looking a little younger. A picture of him three years ago holding a rescue team badge…
...
"My name is Yung Daphnel. We don't need my middle name...it's not relevant. But here we go. As you know, I used to be human. However...my bloodline…isn’t common. You see, I used to be part of House Daphnel in my original world. It was a noble house, one of the ruling houses within the country I was born to, known as the Leicester Alliance.
Back then, in order to rule a house, or in general be destined for a somewhat decent start to life at minimum, you have to be born with a crest. A crest is a way of signifying bloodline, but it’s also a sign that power resides within the individual. I have the Crest of Daphnel as shown here.
*The crest manifested with a blue light*
Anyways I used to work as part of a guild known as the Dawn Rangers. As a side job, I also ran a bakery. Now…it was a normal day like any other…until I was discussing something among the leader of the guild, who just so happened to be my adopted brother about something. Something which was called the ‘Crown of the Heavens’. And on that fateful day. I took up that task of exploring and finding said phenomenon, despite retiring almost completely from the scene of exploring and rescuing…
And so it begins with the conversation with Glade, the Shiny Luxio….
The Luxio nodded. “Right. I…have a request. And to be frank, I genuinely think you might be the best person for the job.
Yung nodded. “Well now, what does my adoptive brother have for me, that only I can do?” He grinned. He did love jabbing at his brother from time to time.
Glade breathed in. “I want you to investigate the rumour named ‘the Crown of the Heavens.’
Yung blinked. “The Crown of the Heavens?”
Glade nodded. “Apparently there’s something above the skies…or something…I don’t know much of the details, but I want you to investigate.”
Yung nodded. “Well…I have no clue to where to begin but…”
Glade interrupted him. “If you give me some time, I will prepare a pokemon to take you above the clouds…”
Yung nodded. “In the meantime, I will….hm…” He paused as he looked at all the information Glade had given him, including the rumours. He decided the first place to go would be the Forest of Beginnings…it wasn’t a commonly explored place, despite the name. The area in general was fairly new and untouched…
Yung would head out with his usual items, ready to expect anything that was thrown his way.
But when he got there….there was no sign of any pokemon. The area truly thrived and teemed with life. Berry trees, fresh spring water and the like.
All he found was the glade surrounded by cliffs…there didn’t really seem anything out of the ordinary.
He returned back to report to Glade. “There…wasn’t much to account for. It’s a bountiful forest but there isn’t much there.”
Glade nodded. “They’ll arrive tomorrow. Dragonite will be taking you.”
Yung chuckled. “That big friendly guy…” He remembered training him up to becoming a skilled dungeon explorer. He was very friendly and often enjoyed greeting others to belly bounce them.
“Alright, I’ll meet you tomorrow.” Yung said and they said goodbye to each other. One thing was bothering him though…and that was the way that glade was shaped. It had a clear view up to the sky and it was somewhat…circular in a sense.
He’d have to look into it at some point.
The day would dawn bright and early, Yung would head straight to the guild. He met up with the Dragonite who knocked him over with his stomach in his usual greeting. He never really minded that though, it was just part of his character, and goofy nature so he accepted it wholeheartedly and shook it off with a smile and a laugh.
Once they had prepared some supplies they would need for the trip, Yung got on the Dragonite’s back and they took off for the skies
It was admittedly a very fruitless flight the first part of the trip. They were only going off of a rumour after all and as such, they had no clue as to where they were going. They asked various flying types they passed on the way. Naturally…most of them had no idea what they were talking about.
Morning would turn to noon at this point… they would eat…while still high in the skies.
“This is pretty fruitless…” The Dragonite remarked as they started up flying again
“I have to agree at this point, we are going off of a rumour after all.” Yung replied.
“What do we do? Should we go back?” The Dragonite turned to look at the Lucario. He wasn’t one to give up easily but there was no clues to be found.
“Let’s not give up just a little bit longer…with any luck…we might find something…maybe we need to expand our scope and go higher…?” He suggested.
And higher up they went…they were heading past some clouds. Of course, they were reaching the higher stratus within the sky
Luck was on their side. Soon they would fly into a Pelipper. Well, they crossed paths. They didn't physically crash into each other, that would be disastrous
“Hey!” The Dragonite called out. “I have a question!”
The Pelipper obliged and came closer. It was apparent that this was a mailman, a courier. “Yes? Can I help?”
“We’re looking for a place called the Crown of the Heavens…have you heard of it?” The Dragonite continued, feeling tired but hopeful.
“I can’t say I have…” The Pelipper said, as the Dragonite started to look crestfallen.
“..however.” The Pelipper continued. “I have come from a sky island above, would you like me to take you there? Perhaps that place is called that on the below?”
Yung and the Dragonite looked at each other. It was the best shot they have. They both nodded
And off they went…they had to weave through a dense cloud cover. It was apparent that this was a maze of sorts.
“The Lord of the Skies keeps this place hidden.” The Pelipper said as they were flying. “Perhaps you may be accosted by the knights and brought forward to explain. Be warned. They have knights who can lay your intentions bare.”
They soon burst out of the cloud cover…and were greeted by a magnificent sight. A great island. Atop of it…a vast city. It looked like it came straight out of a fairy tale.
They had arrived. Yung and the Dragonite couldn’t help but gasp…it was truly beautiful. They had expressions of awe on their faces.
Whether this was truly the Crown of the Heavens or not…it didn’t matter. This was it to them. What a beautiful kingdom…
“…this is…” Yung was speechless. He was in awe.
“Wow…All these years of flying…I’ve never encountered such a place.” The Dragonite gasped. “What’s the name of this place…?”
“Luminia.”
The floating kingdom, the cluster of isles in the sky. The largest of them all. This was Luminia, the sky kingdom which promised paradise away from the ground below. One striking note to notice was the amount of pokemon who couldn’t fly up in these isles. There was no explanation to how they got up here…how could this be…? The whole island defied reality.
Perhaps he shouldn’t be questioning it though. He did come from a world of magic…but even then, floating islands should have been out of the question… But then this was the world of Pokemon…what should he even do…? What could he say?
Everywhere he looked, the sights, the flowers on the street, the stone-paved paths…all very medieval looking, and definitely fantasy like. He could see a path that leads to houses…bricks of stone, stone roofs…lampposts that looked like it came from an older era…It was definitely a look that came out of a world of the medieval times, it reminded him of Fodlan…
“Reach for my hand…I’ll soar away, Into the dawn, oh, I wish I could stay…” He couldn’t help but start singing a small song as he looked around. The wave the trees lined the paths, all of the plants and shrubs, trimmed to look mystical. There was definitely a fairy-feel in the air. He felt like an alfar, a fairy who grants dreams to slumbering children, after all, this world came straight out of a book.
“What now?” The Dragonite answered with a tired look. All that flying had really tired him out. It had taken most of the morning and most of the afternoon just to find the place and get there. So, it was understandable that he was tired. He really wanted somewhere to rest…
“…You know? Let’s have a look around. I’m enchanted by this place…I really want to move here…” Yung murmured as he looked around. He was used to travelling around in the pokemon world. He could never find a place that he liked living permanently. The closet place that came close to being called a permanent home was Kailua town, a beach town. He had always loved the ocean of course, but he found he preferred frequent visits instead. But waking up to the ocean was nice. The problem was that if he moved here…there was a chance he’d never see the ocean again.
The duo began to walk around, they thanked the Pelipper who guided them towards the shopping area, Anthian District. The Pelipper first advised them to go to the Post Office near the Airport. Yung didn’t really take notice that they mentioned an airport. Neither did the Dragonite, perhaps they were too tired to notice.
Yung wanted to spend a day or two in Luminia. It was lucky that he could access his bank in Luminia, so he was able to withdraw some money. It was then he noticed that the currency here was much different here then down below. The Pelipper explained the conversion rates. 1 Bronze Luminian Real was worth 10 pokedollars. 1 Silver Real was worth 100 Bronze Real, and 1 Gold Real was worth 50 Silver Real, meaning 1 gold Real was worth around 50 thousand PD. Contemplating this, he found a decent hotel within the district, paying for a room for them both. They watched the sun set from the window of the hotel room, as they had room service to them.
They spent the next hour or so discussing the current state of affairs.
“I want you to send a letter to my brother tomorrow, if that’s alright.” Yung was saying. “This place is absolutely amazing and I do want to explore this place further.”
“Understood.” The Dragonite nodded. “I will do just that; besides, I’m intrigued by this place also. Maybe we should both have a look around tomorrow; we’ll cover more ground that way and we can meet up some point to discuss.”
They both agreed and went to sleep.
Next morning came bright and early. Yung was more of an early riser compared to the Dragonite. He chuckled as he gently patted the Dragonite’s round stomach as he left the room to go for a walk.
He went into the District…It was truly amazing to breath in the air, even if it was ever so slightly thinner compared to the air on the ground below. The trees up here provided more than enough oxygen.
He was marveling a lamppost and moments later, someone would bump into him. He looked up to see who it was. “Oh?”
A Zoroark, black and purple fur. A Shiny Zoroark, with a purple star marking on his right eye.
“Oh, my apologies.” Yung murmured as he turned to look at the Zoroark, and then politely step out of the way.
The Zoroark was looking at Yung with interest, they didn’t move as they looked at Yung up and down.
“…is there something I can do for you sir?” Yung asked politely, as he turned to look at the Zoroark who was eyeing him with interest.
There was something about this Zoroark…a hint of loneliness permeating their aura, Yung could feel that. They had quite the spark within him, an extremely energetic personality. In fact, it reminded him of his son, Emerald. This person…knew how to have fun. But it seemed as though he wasn’t acknowledged as much as he could have been.
“You’re not from around him aren’t ya?” The Zoroark said, a grin spreading across his face. His voice was male, and definitely gave away that he was quite the bright spark. He had quite a lot of energy within him, as he was sidestepping, a light bounce in his step.
“Um…you would be correct.” Yung put a paw on his hip. “That easy to tell huh?”
“So which island are you from? Rioverde? Svartalf?” The Zoroark was getting more excited by the second. “Or…are you perhaps from Ljosalfheimr? Or the Bubble Island?” He then laughed cheerfully. “If you claim to be from the last two, then I don’t believe you! I doubt you’re from the land of Dreams! And no one lives on Bubble Island! But I can tell you it’s a jolly good place to have fun! When you reserve a spot anyway, not many people go there.” He grinned. “So where are you from anyway?”
“Ah…well…none of those.” Yung said sheepishly. This Zoroark was quite boisterous, and he already felt overwhelmed by the amount of energy that radiated from him. Again, Emerald had quite the similar aura, and he was also strongly reminded of another Lucario friend, Lucien Greatsoul.
“Oh? Then do tell.” The Zoroark grinned.
“I’m from the ground below…the Air Continent.” Yung said. He didn’t know how to put it any plainer then that.
The Zoroark raised an eyebrow. “Oh, really now? Then how on earth did you get up here, more or less know about this place?
I’m telling you, teasing and fooling around is my thing, but I’m not sure if this joke is going too far here.”
“It’s not a joke! I’m serious!” Yung said, with a hint of desperation in his voice. He then began telling his tale of how he heard of the rumour, and how a Dragonite was paged to come up with him to find out if the rumour was true or not…how a Pelipper came to guide them to Luminia.
“…and to be honest, I’m already enchanted by this place…” Yung admitted, looking at the Zoroark.
The Zoroark gazed at his eyes for a moment. “Those aren’t eyes of a liar. I’ve seen many crooks and scoundrels in my short life and you’re not one of them.” His expression gave way to a smile. “And for someone to love Luminia, that’s someone I can trust in as well.” He held out a paw. “Name’s Remus.”
Yung took his paw, looking relieved. “Yung Amami Daphnel. At your service. But please just call me Yung.”
Remus winked. “A handsome and long name for a handsome individual, eh?”
Yung immediately found himself turning red, extremely flustered. “Wha…?!”
Remus roared with laughter, “Come now, I was just teasing. And I even gave you prior notice beforehand as well. Still, that was quite the reaction, the best I’ve had in a while.”
Yung smiled, despite himself. “I can tell…you’re quite the fun person, Remus.” He held his own arm. “…If only…”
Remus looked at him. “Hm? What’s wrong?”
“Well…I’ll be honest. It’s been a while since I’ve been able to talk to someone who I’ve considered a friend…I’ve had no contact with them…no letters…no offers to meet—”
“Whoa now! Don’t you dare turn the situation around! Don’t make this depressing!” Remus put a paw on Yung’s lips. “Easy now.”
Yung got flustered again…it was really apparent and obvious that Remus could practically have him at his mercy. For now, anyway.
“You really are easy to fluster, aren’t you?” He smiled gently, and leaned closer. “Let me sweep you off your feet. now. To be honest…you might be someone how can understand me.” He said in a quiet voice. Something that Yung missed the first time…his voice was very nice to listen to, it was a very pleasant voice.
His first friend in Luminia…could it be? It was something he struggled with and sorely wanted. He hated being left alone…he never wanted to be reminded of being alone, especially not from his past. And to be honest, this one reminded him of Lucien. Charm, friendliness…he had them. He was certain he had strength too…
Yung took him by the paw. “I promise, I’ll hear you out. It’s something I’ve grown to be good at. I have my own quirks too…”
Remus chuckled and grinned. “Alright then! Off to my shop then, I promise you’ll have a fun time!”
Yung was getting pulled along by the excited Zoroark. “Hey Remus?”
Remus turned around and winked. “Yes, mi amigo?”
“Thank you.”
The Shiny Zoroark eagerly took him to his shop. The party shop of Luminia, the first of its kind. Previously, any party supplies were stocked at the general store. They were described to be generic, but they got the job done at any rate. The main problem was that there wasn’t much uniqueness between all of the decorations and stylistics of the decorations. Remus had resolved to take Luminia by the storm and find a way to create memorable and amazing decorations and with his creative mind, he had succeeded in creating more extravagant decorations! He definitely had customers come along to his shop and word was slowly spreading.
However, he wanted to go further, he wanted to go further beyond. He wanted to make them unforgettable, ones that can be brought out year after year and that no one would get tired of them. Decorations that could perhaps serve other purposes and used all year along then just being thrown to the side and discarded forever… he loved having fun.
Remus had always fascinated over balloons ever since he was a Zorua. He didn’t really know how he got into them. All he knew was that he found them comfy. He resolved to make indestructible balloons that could be used for beds, chairs…just to relax on.
He started to frequent Svartalf once he had gained a little money, and fame. Once he had a steady flow of customers to keep him off the streets at least. He needed to go there to get rubber...latex. The reason being that him losing his last family member he had, his uncle…his parents had been missing from the moment he was born and his uncle…passed away from failing health. The Heaven berries just weren’t enough to save him. Even so, Remus never lost heart, and had looked at every passing day with positivity. But he had been looking for someone to talk to…someone to be a friend with. Even after he scrounged up enough money to rent out the shop for a while and had started making money for his novelties… people mainly came for business.
He was excited to show his potential new friend everything. He eagerly showed off all of the decorations that he had poured his time into, his expert craftmanship in the trade clearly showed with streamers that changed colour every now and then, with the material he used facilitating for that…the true crafted sculptures which really set the scene of the party…the party poppers that exploded with more then just small bits of confetti, but with sparkles too…
Yung was all amazed…this was beyond what he was expecting, he didn’t know what to expect at first but he was blown away by what he was shown…he hadn’t thought about parties a lot but he kind of wanted to host something for some friends…
But it was evident that Remus had more to shown him. He went to the back of the shop, dragging Yung with him to show a giant red balloon.
“See, one of my projects is to make indestructible balloons!” Remus grinned, and he began explaining why he was doing so.
Yung was uncertain about it first…but he really wasn’t given a choice on the matter as Remus excitedly took his paw and leapt on, dragging Yung with him. He was utterly terrified at the definite potential of it bursting but…
…it held strong. Remus was able to play with it a bit, and there were no signs of it going to explode.
“It’s not perfect…I can’t be that rough with it yet. But I’m working towards it.” Remus continued as he looked at Yung. He then realised what he was doing and dipped his head.
“I’m sorry…I’m being too forward, aren’t I?”
“It’s alright.” After getting over the shock of it all, Yung’s expression was understanding, a serene smile across his face. He read Remus’ aura. He was just excited and that he wanted to show this off for a long time…he could feel a sadness behind it all though, and he looked at him with a more serious expression.
“Is there any problems? Are you ok? Despite your expression, there seems to be a sadness within…”
Remus flinched. It wasn’t obvious but there was a slight break in his cheerful demeanour. By his reaction…he wasn’t quite ready to tell him yet. That’s what he deduced.
“Whatcha talking about? Nothing’s wrong y’see?” Remus said cheerfully, without missing a beat. He would tell him eventually…but he wanted to see if he truly was going to be his friend.
Yung sighed. He knew he was lying but he didn’t force it. “I just want you to know that I’ll listen for what you have to say…no matter what. I know we just met but…again, you’re the first person I talked to here.”
Remus was silent…his expression thoughtful…he just looked at the Lucario, thinking…
“But this shop truly is wonderful, I do believe my son would enjoy this place, maybe I’ll find a way for him to come up here too…”
Yung was now ever more convinced…he felt like this could be a wondrous place to live. But he needed to see more of Luminia.
He had to. He was truly enchanted by this kingdom…
“Please Remus…can I ask a favour? Can you show me around Luminia?”
He wrapped an arm around the shiny Zoroark, who froze upon the hug. He had missed contact such as this…he didn’t want to break this early. He had to hold out. The two of them definitely seemed compatible as friends on the surface...
“Of course, leave it to the Star Rocker, Remus!”
It is thus that Remus would start by showing the Lucario around. It would be very apparent that Remus indeed did love his home, despite all that had happened to him. But he never let that show as he vigorously took Yung around.
Remus, like most of the other pokemon lived in the suburbs. He took Yung around all of the old-styled streets, the old lampposts with oil lights in them… all in all, it seemed like a magical place. On the first street they came to, there was a Vaporeon wearing a pink ribbon, spraying water into a wicker basket of flowers outside their own home. Next street along, they would come across a Pansage wearing a small cravat. who was walking around with a small book in his hands. They couldn’t see what the complete title was, but it was most certainly a book of fables. Further along there was a red hooded Kirlia who was carrying a basket of food, as well as a Plusle and a Minun, who was heading towards the café in town because they were hungry.
Remus would take Yung to his home, which was deeper within the suburbs. A nice terrace house. And Remus being Remus…his home was just as zany as the party shop. It was so bright…so colourful…and some of the furniture seemed odd. The tables were normal wood tables, were it not for the tables being painted in bright colours. Some of the chairs weren’t even chairs, they were balloons. Yung mentally facepalmed at the sight of them…but he had to admit, that it could be fun. He was certainly slowly getting over the fear of them exploding in his face. Remus dragged Yung over to sit down with him. He reclined on the balloon, making it squeak loudly. Yung winced at the noise, flattening his ears slightly, but again…nothing happened.
“It’s been a long time since I had someone in my home as a guest…” Remus grinned happily. He immediately dragged Yung to sit down with him, making the cushion under them creak ominously. “It’s fun having other people around…”
He then got up and went over to the counter. He fumbled around in the cupboard.
“Ah…I don’t think I have much…do you like Pecha Leaf tea? I know it’s a common tea but…”
“As long as it doesn’t cripple you in terms of resources…” Yung said quietly.
Remus’ ears perked up, as he listened to that response. He realised just how perceptive Yung was, whether he was aware of that fact or not; it was a trait that most Lucario share after all.
“Hey Remus…this home is pretty quaint…I like it.” Yung smiled gently.
Remus laughed softly. “I don’t have much, my friend. I have to make do with what I can.” He slowly put some water to boil…and that was when Yung realised that he had to get water beforehand. He noted the pails of water that Remus stored in the corner… oh dear.
Yung looked around carefully…he could somewhat infer with why the furniture was what it was. Some of it was self-crafted, the few pieces of actual furniture that Remus had was on the lower scale in terms of price.
“My business is slow so far, not much is going on yet. But I have faith.” Remus said in a soft tone. “At least all the citizens have a ration card for the Heavenly Orchard, and they usually let you pick enough to last a while. You can only go there once a month after all.”
Remus brought over a small teapot and filled the teapot before sprinkling the Pecha Leaves in, that had been processed beforehand.
“Now, I don’t want you to worry your little head.” He grinned as he put a paw on his noggin. “A frugal life isn’t a bad thing you know?”
“Hm…” Yung said. He closed his eyes and some aura glowed around him.
“Ahaha…I know it’s useless to hide emotions from you.” Remus commented, his smile never fading. “That’s what Lucario are known for after all.”
Yung had no response to that. The emotions he was reading from Remus…all of it was genuine. He could definitely sense a longing for someone that could be a companion though…
He opened his eyes and took a sip of the tea. Definitely one of the lower quality teas…but it tasted nice all the same. There was always a slight charm to it after all.
“Why don’t we just chat over tea? Maybe…there’s something I can do to help.”
“I don’t really want to be forcing all my troubles onto you. Especially not to someone I just met… I feel guilty of passing on my troubles to a stranger; especially since I’m certain that you have other things you have to do at the moment.” Remus said as he sipped his tea. “At the moment though…I only make enough to run the shop, and live, more or less. I can’t afford any luxuries.”
Yung would shake his head. “Come now, I want to do all I can do help while I’m here. This is the least I can do for you…who has taken his time to show me Luminia.”
Remus shook his head. “Even so… this doesn’t feel right. I’m preying on someone’s kindness…who’s to say I’m mani…” He stopped before he could finish that word. “No. I can’t lie to you. You’re a Lucario after all…you’d know by now, right? To which the only response was a smile and a nod. But that didn’t do much to change Remus’ guilty expression. Yung could tell that beneath the shady exterior, beneath his boisterous and partygoer personality…he was a kind soul.
“Alright listen. I’ll do one favour then. How does that sound?” Yung asked. “Instead of me doing multiple? In the end…I will have to go back down to the Pokemon Square…I am still part of a rescue team guild.”
“Rescue Team Guild?” Remus asked, putting his cup down. “What’s that?
Yung looked at Remus. “You…don’t know what a rescue team guild is?”
Remus would shake his head. “We have the knights here. They usually manage to sort all the problems out. One could call them the police.”
“I understand that but… rescue teams are different then that. They go out to help people who get into trouble in mystery dungeons.” Yung explained, going slightly more uneasy with each word that Remus uttered. He was coming to the realization how isolated Luminia really was to the rest of the world.
“I think I understand now…Rescue teams… but what’s a mystery dungeon?” Remus asked again.
Not just how isolated Luminia was to the rest of the world, but how different it was too. It was as if he had travelled to another world altogether. One where the concept of mystery dungeons and rescue teams just were not something that existed
And thus, Yung would go on and explain just what they were. How mystery dungeons were ever changing, how they may hold wondrous treasures or serve for excellent training purposes. How there was even one particular one that granted wishes, and another which warped the perception of time as a training experience…one year of mystery dungeons, in one day, and at
the end, there was a wonderful treasure to be found that can truly help you in what you do. He then explained the importance of rescue teams, how they help serve the people where the police couldn’t, how they paved the path in terms of mapping the world, some of the best and most famous archaeologists were part of rescue teams or guilds… historic discoveries were made because of them. Remus listened to it all, wide-eyed, and in awe. He couldn’t believe what he was hearing and yet…he did believe him. Sometimes the truth was more unbelievable than a lie after all.
“W-Wow…Such a life is…normal down on the ground below?” Remus asked wide-eyed as Yung wrapped up his explanation.
Yung would nod. “Right. It’s normal… but mystery dungeons can effectively dictate how one lives down there.”
Remus looked at Yung with a smile. “What you told me sounds like a great story… it really is amazing the way you told it; have you ever considered becoming a storywriter?” Yung looked at him searchingly, he initially thought that Remus just didn’t believe him. “...of course, that isn’t to say I don’t believe you. One day…it might be interesting to go down there and see what’s going on.” Remus exclaimed with a sigh. “But there are bigger things to worry about right now for me…”
Yung would nod. “Right… but for now, can you take me around Luminia? There’s lot’s to see right? I want to see everything if I can… and perhaps you could show me…”
Remus’ expression lightened somewhat. “R-Right. Let us go then.” He began packing all of the tableware used for the tea. Cleaning them and putting them away, which Yung helped.
Remus would then walk out with him. “Going further deeper into the suburbs, you’ll find a bridge that leads to another island…but we won’t go there. That’s something else altogether…for now, let us go to Sleipnir Park first. You’d love that.”
Yung would stop him. “Hold on, I think that Dragonite might be looking for me…can we go find him first.”
Remus looked at him questionably. “That guy does have a name, right?” He walked with him past the Victorian streets.
Yung looked mortified as he said that.. “R-Right. Rayshard. His name’s an awkward one to remember sometimes…but that’s no excuse…I’ve known him for a bit now.”
Remus chuckled softly as they continued to walk side-by-side one another until around 15 minutes later, they reached the plaza. Sure enough…Rayshard was there. He greeted them happily, his wings flapping a little as he walked towards them.
“Hey there!” Rayshard said cheerfully. “Oh! A new friend?”
“Remus.” The Zoroark matched the grin that was on Rayshard’s face. “Pleasure to meet you.” He shook the Dragonite’s hand.
Yung would bring Rayshard up to speed, and introduce them to each other before he explained what was going on.
“Right! Now that we’ve gotten here, let us explore and help Remus a little and then let’s go back and report to Glade.” Yung smiled happily as he looked at the two…to which Remus’ expression fell almost immediately. At the last phrase.
“About that…” Remus said uncertainly as he looked at Yung and Rayshard
“What’s wrong?” Yung sensed something ominous in Remus’ expression…it wasn’t malicious intent from Remus…but rather…something he had failed to account for while he was here.
“I don’t think you can leave this place, Yung.”
