Probably because you've posted too many feeds recently in a short amount of time. A similar thing happens when you attempt to like too many of other user's feeds in a short amount of time.

As for there being a feed limit, as far as I know it's theoretically infinite. There's just a limit at the rate that you can post feeds to help prevent spamming.
