Fortem nodded to Emerald's suggestion. "Yeah, I think so too... I
guess lets open the door, then." Cautiously, Fortem nudged open the
door to the third room, hoping it wasn't trapped like the second
(probably to no avail). He carefully stuck his head inside, almost
sneezing from the dust. He looked around, wanting to report back
what he saw.
Drew walked up near Emerald. “He’s right, you know.” Drew said. He
nodded to Emeralds answer. “We don’t really have any other choices
currently.” Drew said.
Fortem didn't know what to expect. "Attacking it might make things
worse... but it's our only option. We should test carefully, in
case it explodes or something. I don't want you guys to get hurt,"
Fortem said, realiseing he really meant it. He did hate to see
others hurt, but he also felt responsible for the group. "I'll
shield you guys with a stone edge if you need but for now..." He
needed to boost morale and courage, so, after hesitating for a
moment, he sent a rock throw near of of the golem's hinges,
encouraging the group to attack.
Drew waited for command to attack, and once he got it, he started
up a thunder punch. “Hopefully this is stronger...” Drew thought in
his head. He immediately started to run up to the titan, diverted
energy to his fist, and punched as hard as he could. For Drew it
was worth losing energy to help out. “Hopefully luck with
strike...” Drew thought. If he could paralyze the titan, it would
make it a lot easier to defeat.
"Jump!" Fortem yelled, as the ground rippled like it did with
earthquakes (Fortem was starting to hate earthquakes even more). He
created two large, stone, paddles with stone edge, which came
jutting out of the temple walls. As some of the pokemon jumped,
they landed on the platforms. Relieved to see them safe, Fortem
lunged at the titan's head and used bite. Strangely, it felt like
it did when he attacked the golems in the forest temple. He wasn't
hurting a pokemon, so it felt fine. Hmm... he;d have to figue it
out later. He let go, and shielded a zorua from the titan's
swinging leg with another stone edge shield.
Drew looked at the titan and glared. “Welp. That was a bust.” Drew
thought. The thing was, Drew didn’t have very effective moves
against it. Rock types are strong against fire and electric, so
there was nothing else he could do. He did have others, but he
didn’t practice with them. He looked up at the titan again. “I
guess we can try it again.” Drew said. Once again, Drew charged up
his fist. Instead of of parts, Drew wanted to aim for the head. He
jumped up, surfacing the titans head, and went for a dive to it.
Fortem, wide eyed, saw the rocks flying everywhere! He used his
control of rocks to rock throw some of the schrapnel back at the
titan, but pieces were still going to hit the other pokemon! Harly
thinking, he put up a stone edge shield on one side, and leaped in
front of a few other pokemon, getting some rocks stuck in his fluff
(thank arceus for lycanroc fur). However, some of the brave pokemon
had been injured still, and were struggling to fight. He turned
back to face the titan. "You are NOT hurting these pokemon!" He
growled, somewhat to himself, somewhat to the titan, and tackled
the thing, getting his belly scraped in the process.
Drew reach the head with his electric fist ready to punch it. With
a deep breath, Drew got all of his energy and punched the head of
the titan. “This thing better be down soon. He jumped to the side.
Drew looked down to see many injured Pokémon, which made him
furious.
Fortem continued shielding the injured pokemon from the rock bits,
focusing all his energy into creating stony barriers. He managed to
have 8, a new record, but now was not time to celebrate. He saw
Drew attacking the titan. "Try going for the joints!" He yelled,
suggesting his idea to the fiery pokemon.
