"Interesting, I guess legendary pokemon just have their ways," Raoul comments. "Is there anywhere I can read up on the Coren ones?" Raoul asked. He was always trying to learn things, so, naturally, books were a must. Besides, he still felt a little bad about asking all those questions.

Raoul nodds. "Umm... do you mind if we look there next?" Raoul asked. He was starting to get some shady looks from other people at the black market, and wasn't so sure if he was enjoying the dark place.

"Yeah sure." Silver leads him to the library. It is made out of bamboo and is huge as well. The inside lined with shelves.

Raoul takes a moment to appreciat the place's kind atmosphere, peaceful quiet chatter and book smell. He scanned the shelves, looking for a book about legendary pokemon.

Raoul nodded in thanks, and took the book (it wasn't too think or heavy, there could only be so many legendary or mythical pokemon). It was called: "A guide to the myths and legend of Coren". Raoul flipped it open, and was greeted by pictures of a long, scaly serpent, and a bulky bull, with horns seeming too big for it's head. He read the entries:

"Apuphoon, the sea monster pokemon. Type: Water Dark. It frequently gets into vicious battles with other pokemon that live in the seas. It's fierce fighting can cause flooding or giant swells. Supposedly, according to ancient times, there was only one, giant Apuphoon, who caused lots of trouble for Coren's people and pokemon. Not much else is known about it, as anyone who get's too close to it comes back dead or severely injured."

Raoul gulped. Not a very friendly sounding start. If he ever had a trial and ceremony, he hoped that Apuphoon wouldn't be the pokemon that visited him. He began reading the one about the giant bull:

"Taurapeto, the sculpter pokemon. A steel ground type. According to legend, this giant pokemon used it's massive horns to plow the land of Coren, making mountain ranges. It's stomps were said to create valleys. It loved to sculpt the land, and made many of the natural now tourist attractions here on the island. No evidence leads to prove it's existence, except for old paintings, and the faint stomps and bellows you might hear from deserted parts of the island on a quiet day."

This pokemon sounded nicer, but also very deadly if it wanted to be. Raoul traced Taurapeto's horns, which were both double the size of the pokemon's head. If the pokemon stomped or plowed the ground and Raoul was in the way... well, he didn't want to know what would happen. At least this one just wanted to sculpt. Raoul flipped the page, and continued reading.

Silver smiled. She watched him read. She flipped the page to a silver winged beast. It looked like a cross between a dragon and a leopard. The page read: Merawing. Type: Dragon Ice. It lives in the mountains, and can be seen flying through the mountains. It is a very friendly creature, but it should not be crossed. If your lucky, the creature will reveal itself to you if it deems you worthy. Said to be the ancestor of all Meratails. Silver sighed as she finished. "That's my favorite legendary." she tells him. "Meratails and Correnian pokemon, they aren't anywhere else." she said.

a young boy wearing a hood has just landed
in the port. his tiny, one-man boat is flooded
with water and the sails are ripped. the boy
takes off his hood and his blue hair falls into
his face. he brushes it away. the boy sits on the
shore of the island, looking out at the sea,
hoping that they can go back home soon.

Raoul nodded. "Looks pretty cool, too! Coren sure has a lot of different legengary pokemon." He remarked. He wondered what pokemon would show up for Silver's ceremony. "Hey, how do you even know when youre ceremony is?" Raoul questioned. "If you don't know what the trial is..."

"No, I mean, how do you know when your ceremony is? Does a legendary pokemon tell you in advance?" Raoul asked. He ruffled through the book pages as he asked, half out of boredom, and half to find a cool new pokemon.

"I know, you told me. But didn't you say you don't know what the trials are? Oh, do you have to complete them right before the ceremony, then? And if so, how do you know when you get the trials? How do you know it's today?" Raoul ruffled the pages again, confused. "I don't get it."

Silver looked annoyed. "There are two sets of trials. One we do, they are studying tasks and such. The other is presented my the legendary." she says.

"Ah, Ok, I'll stop asking all these questions now." Raoul continues flipping through the book, looking at all of the cool legendary pokemon of the island. "Oh, want a berry?" He pulls out one of the spare pecha berries from his bag.

Raoul handed her the berry happily. "The counter?" He asked her. "Ah, sorry, I've probably asked my share of questions for the day." He laughs, and sets down the book, finished reading about all the legendaries he wanted to. He wondered if trials were only for island locals, or if travellers like himself could get a trial and ceremony too. He liked studying, and wondered what legendary pokemon might show up for him. Slow down Raoul, He told himself. You're getting ahead of yourself.
